Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio
If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.
I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.
As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.
You blade sliced right through the bloated sack of the monster, causing it to screech in deafening agony. A sick purple liquid oozed from it's wound, perhaps it's blood, maybe a venom. As you squared off against the monster you hear a crossbow bolt thud against the door behind you, as Sticky had tried to shoot a crossbow at the monster, but failed due to the poison going through his system. "S-Sorry Caeda but... I ain't gunna leave you alone wif dat monster! Open da door, I'll help ya!" Panting furiously, Sticky seemed to find some sort of renewed sense of vigor in his body as he tried to load another crossbow bolt. But as he was doing so, the monster turned it's attention to you. It swiped at you with a scaled fist, striking your chest. It was a heavy blow, but mostly absorbed by the armor. It's second strike however caught you right across the jaw, it's monstrous scales adding a bit more cut to it. Finally it spewed poisonous quills at you even though you were right in it's face, but even so it seemed like it was able to hit you at point-blank. Fortunately because it was so close, the quills only managed to scratch you. Unfortunately, that scratch was all it needs to spread it's toxins through your system.
Like many orcs, Malakaus is huge, burly, and heavily muscled. He has red tribal tattoos that shows that he is part of the Vorinclex Clan, though anyone who knows the clan would also know that his tattoos are incomplete, due to the fact he left the clan at an early age to pursue training among the humans. He's fairly unscarred despite being a warrior, something which makes conventional orcish warriors jeer. However he cares little for their insults because he knows his body bares no scars thanks to the protective qualities of his armor.
Malakaus's own armor which he has named Regalia. It is currently in it's third stage, as Malakaus has added additional ornemtnation including spikes, etchings, and the short cloak. An armor made of humble steel, however Malakaus is looking into improving the design by acquiring higher quality metals, which he believes could be obtained by processing various monster parts. Incidentally it also has him return to his orcish roots and study up on scrimshaw, or bone crafting, an art that most orcs use to make their equipment that Malakaus had shunned for being primitive.
Bio: Malakaus is a fairly typical orcish warrior, having been trained since youth to be a warrior. The only difference is that early into his training he found an interest in smithing and working metals, favoring the more complex and vastly more useful metal weapons and armor over his clan's traditional weapons of stone, wood, and bones. Thus he left his clan when he was about twelve years old, which by than he was already taller than most human men and a fair bit stronger as well. He took up an apprenticeship with an armorer for ten years, learning the secrets of smithing and molding metals into weapons, armors, and other useful gadgets. He didn't neglect his training as a warrior either, and often made money to support his education via things such as gladiatorial combat or dueling.
By the time he had completed his training to become his own journeyman, Malakaus had already constructed his own full set of armor, as well as a unique shield and axe. He hopes to improve his skills so that one day he can create a true master piece, testing the effectiveness of his own equipment through practical usage in battle. Of course nothing in life is for free, and if he wants the funding to continue crafting his weapons and armor he needs an income. Thus when he heard about the Angeli Pallidus, a guild of monster hunters, he figured it would solve two issues if he joined them. Not only will they pay him to hunt monsters which he can use to fund his smithing career, but he can test his equipment by hunting said monsters.
Gear: BattleAxe - Malakaus's custom battle axe. It appears to be a simple, single-sided broad axe, but with a twist of it's handle Malakaus can extend the shaft and turn the axe into a halberd, opening him up to a different style of fighting as needed. It is made entirely of metal and has some issues with durability due to being made of moving, hollow parts, so Malakaus has specifically constructed his axe to be very sturdy, but at the same time it also makes the axe incredibly heavy. Were it not for his orcish strength it would be impractical to use. Malakaus hopes to discover a metal alloy that is lighter without compromising durability.
Shield = A medium sized shield bristling with spikes. Despite it's heavy metal appearance, it's actually quite light. Malakaus's shield is is designed to push his ability to craft a metal that is both light and durable, while also incorporating techniques to treat wood to give it similar light but durable properties. So far he's simply manage to make a fairly decent shield that is lighter than it's design would indicate, but otherwise standard to other metal shields.
Full Plate Armor "Regalia mk.3" = Malakaus' main focus and the only piece of equipment he has given a name. The Regalia mk.3 is a set of full plate armor which on it's own is worth double it's weight in gold for conventional knights and warriors, as it's designed to make the most use of an orc's strength and powerful build to increase it's defenses while being fairly light weight. Granted, it is still heavier than any plate armor sized for a human or dwarf, but proportionally speaking it is rather light. It's design was inspired by a gladiator who defeated Malakaus, who despite being even slower than Malakaus, utilized his armor to full effect to barely be phased by his attacks and unleash an onslaught of blows against him due to his implacability. Malakaus has not yet tested this armor against conventional firearms, mostly due to the fact it's hard for him to get his hands on a gun.
Magic: Produce Flame - A basic fire spell Malakaus learned mostly for utility purposes. He conjures a small ball of fire to his hand, which he can throw at enemies to burn them, however he generally just uses it for illumination or to start a fire. Notable for being very effective at drying wet wood.
Mending - A basic spell designed to help repair the damage to objects. It's not strong enough to heal wounds or injuries in living people, but it can repair the damage done to clothing, weapons, and other things that aren't specifically living. It can even repair magic items, though it doesn't restore magic energy.
Tiger's Grace - The only advance level spell Malakaus knows. It massively increases his speed, agility, and jumping ability for a short time, allowing him to become startling fast despite his heavy armament. Hard to use consecutively though so he generally saves it for the most opportune moment.
Likes: Limes, fire, mountain climbing, and kittens. Dislikes: Bell peppers, being cold, swimming, and snakes. Extras: Has a pet cat named Barrel, because he found it in a barrel. Malakaus is pretty sure it's a magical cat, he just hasn't figured out what it can do.
Malakaus is also rather educated in magics for an orc, as he used to be sweet on an elf who tutored him. However they had a falling out due to Malakaus' growing romantic feelings for her, and now he shuns romance in general, especially with elves. He still tries to keep himself up-to-date about various magical lore, especially if they relate to ways to improve his crafting.
Doesn't get a lot of respect by both dwarves and orcs. Most dwarves he met see's Malakaus as a mere poser and could never match up to them in the arts, while orcs consider Malakaus incredibly cowardly for his reliance on weapons and armor, as well as his general friendliness around humans.
Malakaus hasn't seen his family in a long time. He isn't sure how they're doing either, and hopes to gain some honor and glory via his crafts before he returns to the clan. He doesn't want to see his family until he feels that he has done something great.
Sticky nods as he turns to run. As you try and close the door however, something shoots right past your face. It missed you, but you weren't the target: Sticky was. He screamed in pain as the quills dug into his back and he slammed against the wall in agony, though he was still alive. Coming out from the shadows was some sort of twisted humanoid abomination, a cross between a human or perhaps an elf, and some sort of prickly sea creature. It had a bloated looking neck with needles sticking out from it, croaking quietly as it looked at you. You can tell it's intent is hostile.
Roll Initiative! Caeda (24/24) = Roll Initiative! Sticky (5/11) = 7 Sea Spawn (32/32) = 7
Sea Spawn Poison Quills vs Sticky = 24/12 Poison Damage = 6 Sticky's Con Save = 4
Not a moment too soon before you manage to catch the gecko as it bites down onto the handle of your hatchet. It holds fast despite not catching any meat, allowing you to swing it into the nearby wall just long enough to stun it once more, and finish it off with another axe to the head. This once was a cleaner cut and nearly decapitated the gecko, finally leaving you with nothing but a few dead lizards. It wouldn't take too long if you felt like skinning and butchering these geckos; hides were always in some demand from traders who knew people who could turn them into clothing and textiles, and the meat was... Palpable enough. Obviously don't eat it raw; gecko meat is highly radioactive and it's a good way to get cancer. But once you grill them on an open flame, they're a decent enough snack and unlike most wasteland critters, the radiation actually helps make sure the meat doesn't catch diseases.
You'd be able to obtain at least four usable gecko hides, though one was notably missing it's entire head. As for meat, taking the best cuts you find about seven pounds of the stuff all together. There were more bits of the gecko you could eat, but that meat is tough and unpalatable no matter what you do with it. Better off leaving it to the flies. And finally, seemed like one of the geckos was pregnant, because you found one gecko egg. Gecko eggs are hard to cook though due to their high acidic, making terrible omelettes. You've heard of some crazy wastelanders making cocktails with them, but those usually ended with said wastelander dying of some sort of alcohol based poisoning, which may or may not have been made worse by the gecko eggs.
Once you'd finish figuring out what to do with these gecko bits, it was more or less a straight shot to Primm. The town seems almost peaceful from a distance, but you know that it's going to get loud once you make your presence known there. You can see the big old bison from your position too. The fact it wasn't on fire at the moment might be considered a good thing for Primm's state of welfare.
Sticky had just finished moving some boxes to help adjust the balance of the ship. When you came to ask for his help, he made sure to make some excuses so he could go with you. The two of you would reach the storage fairly easily since all hands were busy upstairs or resting up due to their wounds. As you kept watch, you don't notice anything really, but perhaps that itself was telling: there really was no one else nearby. If anything were to happen, chances are no one will know until it's far too late to help you. Meanwhile Sticky continued to work on the lock and would soon have it opened. "Dere we go. And we in. So, wot exactly ya lookin fer? Not planning ta steal nuthin from the ship yeah?"
However once you got inside, you can immediately tell something was wrong. Even Sticky can tell, since the whole room was glowing purple. You can see growing on the ceiling, some sort of small, glowing boil. It pulsated with grotesque energy that makes you feel sickly just being around. And as you're observing the room, you hear something amiss. It was faint but it was like... Breathing. Something was here. Sticky, nervous, has his sword out. "S-S-Should we get da others?" He asks shakily.
The crew had no other comments to make beyond mulling the strategy to approach the wreck. If they go by sea they could potentially avoid most of the drowned until they get to the boat itself, at the risk of putting themselves at risk against the ocean’s rocky waves and unforgiving stones. If they try and climb down they would have to fight through the veritable hordes of drowned, but it’s less of a risky travel. And of course they have no idea what to expect inside of wreck proper aside from a Banshee, and Nyx was rather adamant that she has never heard of a banshee who would control the undead. The primary counter argument is that while the banshee might not specifically command them, they are the o lay undead with a sense of sentience, compared to the drown’s entirely nonsentiant existence.
Soon the group would reach the forest again, taking the path that Hurrik had cleared for a faster trek. He had Hector and Johnathan gather up some sizable branches so he can shape them into pitons once they reach the ship, in the event they approach the ship by cliffside. Nyx also had Nox take time the skies once more to scout more, noticing a rather large fleet moving towards Red Shard. Not pirates, likely merchants, but they had quite the escort. “Seems like some big shot has shown up to Red Shard, Captain. Can’t make out the emblems from here however.”
Yeah. Silver is the poor man’s magic weapon since it will effectively turn the weapon into something “like magic” but without any actual magic benefits like +1 or anything like that. It’s 100 GP to silver a weapon though, and a skilled enough smith. That might not be available here in Red Shard, but chances are you can find silver weapons at certain vendors, or weapon blanches.
Weapon blanches are akin to poisons one that you coat a weapon with them but they provide a temporary effect to the weapon such as soldering, rust coating, etc.
Balista's are still sold by guilds, but they have far less restrictions than cannons and more importantly, easier to obtain on the black market. They're worth about 500 GP from reputable sources, but some places might sell higher or lower depending on the rarity, reliability, or if it's hot (aka stolen) or not.
A ballista has a range of 120/480 feet, and can do 3d10 Piercing Damage. It does not do extra damage to structures however, but can still ignore a structure's damage threshold. It takes one action to load the weapon, one action to aim it, and one action to fire it. It cost 1 GP for your standard Ballista bolt.
Throwing weapons? No, not really. At best you have harpoons which can stick into the hull of a ship, but they're not big enough to cause any sort of structural damage. You'll need siege weapons like a balista for that, or better, a cannon.
From what Nyx pointed out to you, the bulk of the shipwreck is about thirty-feet away from the beach coast on top of various rocks and crags. From what you can tell those rocks are only barely jutting out from the waters (You'd likely be able to see them if it was low tide), and evidentially stable enough footing for the Drowned to walk around. Forty feet away from the coast itself are larger rocks and rougher waters that will be both difficult to pass and will likely kill any drowned that tries to go through it and fail to maintain their footing, which is very likely considering the drowned are still zombies and thus suffer a zombie's weakness in terms of coordination (They don't have any).
So basically the ship is somewhere about 10 or so feet from the rough rocks. I ought to make another map.
Whack. I completely forgot about him. I'll just say that he's been super quiet and mostly just been listening to you, having not really much anything insightful to say.
