Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

"Hmm... Two three... Five seven... If I had to say, about nine miles off. Given the winds and tide they'll be here in an hour or so." Nyx said as the group continued onward. The group would arrive back to Red Shard before the ships would arrive, but by the time you'd reach the Kraken even you could see the fleet on the horizon. They were quite big indeed; it's doubtful there was enough space in the port to anchor all of them. And yet they were still coming. Meanwhile on the Kraken itself you could hear Tayang whipping your men into shape. You could tell that they had brought some new weapons, heavy crossbows, and Tayang was training each one of them to be tougher and faster. At the moment he was training Kulee, attacking him with a flurry of axe swings while Kulee was trying to adapt to using his new anchor maul. "Don't be a coward! Fightin with a maul ain't like a sword, you gotta commit! If your afraid of taking a hit than stick to a bowgun!"

Tayang's taunting managed to get Kulee to go on the offensive, pushing Tayang back a bit before he struck Kulee's knee and brought his axe to the goliath's neck. However the dwarf stopped short of actually hitting him. "But don't get reckless neither. Trust yer armor to take the hit so you can attack without flinching each time I take a swing at you. Go take a breather. Derrick!" Just as Tayang called up Derrick he would notice the group and raise his hand to stop Derrick. "Aye captain, welcome back. I see that everyone is still alive. Find out anything interesting?"
The sea monster lunged out at you as you attacked, it's poisonous quills shooting out in your direction. But the radiant energy from your gauntlet surged through the rapier, and in a flash of light, your blade struck true. First you saw the blade go right through the monster's face, penetrating where it's nose would be and coming out the back of it's skull. But that wasn't all: the light that went from your gauntlet moved through the blade, and then moved into the skull of the sea creature. You could see light pour out from the monster's eyes, gills, mouth, and the wound as it's head exploded, leaving behind a headless corpse. And just like that the battle was over.

"Caeda! Let me in!" You could hear Sticky shouting from behind the door as he tries to force it open. But there was still another matter to address, and it wasn't just the corpse. The longer you stayed here the more your mind began to wander. Your vision started to get dizzy. Everything began to blur into a single image, and all you could really make out was the bright light from the strange pulsating sack in the room. You could barely even hear Sticky trying to open the door. You had a feint few seconds of consciousness before something strange would occur. What would you do?

Orchid breathed heavily as she put down the last thug (Or so she thinks), and stabs him through the throat for good measure. She was severly wounded though, more so than she had intended. An unfortunate but inevitable cost of doing battle. Before she could gather her breath and tell the party to move onward, the tiefling girl came up to her and used magic to seriously help alleviate the worse of Orchid's injuries. While still hurt, she was in much better shape than before. "Hah! Well, would ya look at that. Thanks kid." Orchid pat Celeste's head before turning to the rest of the group. "Stealth's out of the question for now. They know we're coming and they know this place better than us, so they're going to be ready. Take whatever is important in this room, and let's get going."

Quickly, Orchid would gather up the dead thug's crossbow and bolts. It was an improvement over her light crossbow, though she'll need to attune to it later. Plus it'll be good loot once they get out of here. She also took the extra coin; since they killed the thugs, this basically meant that they weren't going to trade the girl over to whoever runs this place. After plundering, Orchid slaps her face a bit to refresh herself and get ready for the coming battle. She was basically back to full now. Once everyone was packed away Orchid finally grabs her shield from her back, strapping it to her arm while picking up her glaive. It was a bit cumbersome to use a shield and such a long polearm together, until Orchid held her weapon aloft and spoke a magic word. "Kasta." Suddenly, Orchid's glaive felt might lighter, and her blade subtly shifted for it's balance to be better suited for throwing and easier for her to handle with one arm. She did a few test swings with her glaive, making sure that the new balance wouldn't bother her too much. Once adapted, Orchid looked towards the door.

"Okay, let's go."

Name: Nox Nyctores "Barrel the Cat"
Race: Grimalkin (Cat Beastkin)
Age: 212
Appearance:

Bio:
For many years, the cat beastkins were always a capacious bunch. Whether in mass or alone, the cat beastkin are found wherever humans dwell, either in beast or hybrid form. But among the feline beastkin is a rarer breed: the Grimalkins. There is an old saying that cats have nine lives, and it's the Grimalkin who put that into real practice, being absurdly long-lived and difficult to put down. Nox is one of the few Grimalkins. Unlike many beastkin, his form originated solely as a cat: his early life was being the familiar of an enterprising human mage many, many years ago. It was through the efforts of the mage that Nox would eventually gain his own sentience but it was only afterwards that he would go about obtaining the coveted status of Grimalkin.

Grimalkin are not chosen, but made, and so once Nox received the liberation of awakening he left the service of his wizard master and sought the challenges and rites to become the legendary cat beast. He did many thing in his short life, from hunting the biggest prey (A whale), reaching the sky (Climbed a mountain), and even obtained immortality (Has a vast lineage of children). Over the course of his life his physiology changed from that of a cat to a more traditional beastkin, namely the ability to walk on two feet and having opposable thumbs. He even learned magic, and from there it became apparent that his deeds enabled him to become a grimalkin, granting him an ageless existence similar to the elves. But that gave Nox one problem.

He had no idea what he wanted to do with his life now. Once a cat so full of ambition and aspiration, but now that he had obtained what he had wanted, he had no idea what he would do next. It was a mystery. But he didn't let it bother him too much: without having to truly worry about morality for a very long time, Nox decided to do what a cat does best: enjoy it's life. He settled down for a while, siring many more kittens and seeing them grow up to become adults. He would occasionally come into the service of others, posing as a mere cat, and leaving when it suited him. He even had a rather infamous career as an assassin, utilizing his unassuming appearance to stalk his prey and slay them when they least expect it. He learned many magics to bolster his ability and entertain him, and eventually one day while he was sleeping in a barrel, he was adopted by some orc. He seemed nice enough, gave Nox a warm place to sleep and food when he wants it, though Nox doesn't feel too particularly close to the man. Still it seemed like he was up to something exciting, and Nox could certainly use the distraction. So he's going to stick around and tag along for his adventures, just to see where it goes.

Gear: None, for he is a cat.

Martial Arts:
Feline Grace - Being a cat, Nox is capable of deft acrobatic maneuvers, often landing on his feet perfectly safe regardless of the height he falls. He can also use his claws to climb on most surfaces and has a natural night vision. Finally his footsteps are naturally silent.

Magic:
Psycho Cutter - Psychic energy form around Nox's claws, allowing him to deliver a powerful slashes that bypass physical armor. This is Nox's primary combat spell.

Dark Pulse - Dark energy collect in Nox's eyes, allowing him to shoot a beam of foul energy at any target he can see, no matter how far away they are. The energy then blasts the target with a mixture of dark and force energy, capable of toppling even the staunches of enemies. Nox's primary range spell.

Nine Lives - Nox creates up to eight other copies of himself. They share his strength and abilities, however they are very fragile so even an attack that wouldn't kill Nox can kill them. Nox can telepathically communicate with these clones and anything they learn is returned to Nox when they vanish.

Shadow Step - Nox can teleport up to any shadow he sees within 60ft of himself.

Night Fall - A large 20-foot radius cloud of profane darkness surrounds a single object or creature that Nox chooses. Anything within that cloud is effectively blind thanks to the impenetrable darkness which even a creature's darkvision cannot pierce. Only those with magical darkvision such as Nox can see through it.

Primal Instincts - Increases Nox's abilities, magically improving senses and agility. It also allows him to detect the presence of magic.

Vanish - Turns Nox or anything he touches invisible for a few minutes.

Catnap - Nox's ultimate spell. It's a large Area-of-Effect spell that causes anything caught within to immediately fall asleep if they can't resist his magic. If anyone within the area of effect was already asleep, they won't wake up unless the spell is dispelled or ends. For some reason, it does not affect elves. Loud noises and bright lights won't even wake them up. The spell only lasts for ten minutes.

Likes: Fish, warmth, soft things, killing.
Dislikes: Bread, being wet, loud people, children.
Extras: Nox doesn't consider himself anyone's pet, but freely helps himself to their homes and food. He will act respectfully and partial if they allow him, or he'll extract vengeance if they don't. Fancies himself a chef and is pretty good at cooking.

Malakaus Vorinclex
Healthy | Angeli Pallidus Guild | Introducing Himself

Malakaus awakens to the sound of some chickens crowing, as chickens do in the morning. He sleeps on a hay-filled bed, with only a matted fur blanket to comfort him. His cat, Barrel, was still asleep at his feet. As he gets up to start his morning his feline companion rouses awake and is quick to run down stairs. Malakaus walks over to his fireplace and puts some fresh logs into place. "Flak." As soon as he says those words, a small orb of fire appears in his hands. It doesn't seem to hurt him as he moves the orb to the logs, causing them to quickly light up in just a few seconds. Barely a minute would pass before the logs begin to burn brightly and Malakaus heads down stairs to fetch an iron pot to fill with water from a rain barrel. He then moves the pot over the flames to boil. Meanwhile, the orc changes out from his night clothes, a thick outfit made of linen, to his bare body. He would relieve himself in a copper chamber pot, which he'd then empty by tossing it's contents out of the window and into the alley below. From there he would wash himself using the boiled water, a cleaned cloth lathered with a soap, and a bronze comb. Today was a big day today: normally he'd just settle with a cold wash but today he was actually going to see people.

After washing himself and putting out his fire, Malakaus went to get dressed, now in his under armor. A thick leather gambeson with sturdy leggings made of woolen cloth, with a oiled and cleaned steel Chausses. While wearing this outfit he prepared a fairly humble meal for himself: a slice of hard aged cheese, a cut of not-entirely soft tomato, and a tough strip of jerky meat betwixt two slices of bread that Malakaus had been slowly eating over the course of two days. For extra oomph, he had toasted the bread slices near the embers of his fireplace, toasting them. His portions were notably larger than they normally were as Malakaus wanted to fill his stomach, in the event he needs the energy to fight. After he ate his sandwich he washed it down with some watered-down wine. "Right then. Time to armor up."

Malakaus walked down the stairs, opening a door to allow Barrel to leave. He would return in his own time: today he hunts for his meal. Once downstairs Malakaus goes over to his workshop. It has been lean for him; not many people care to hire an orc to craft their items, and the only work he's been able to get thus far are basic repair jobs. Things he wouldn't even need to fire up his forge for, but use simple magic. Enough to earn his daily bread but not enough if he wanted to work on what he desired most: his equipment. Displayed on a rack was The Regelia, Malakaus's armor. It was a slow and meticulous process to don the armor; if he was too hasty, he may miss a strap that could cause his armor to expose a weak point or easily loosen. Over all it took him about twenty minutes to fully don, but when he did he felt like he was twice as large as before. He did a short exercise to test his limberness, doing squats, jumps, push ups, sit ups, and even rolling. Once he was limbered up he grabbed his axe and shield from a nearby rack, strapping the shield onto his arm before putting his axe into it's sling. "Let's go."

Malakaus leaves out the back of his forge, where he had let Barrel out of. It opens up to the back alleys where there wasn't much foot traffic; most people knew better than to walk these parts at night due to the presence of the drunk and homeless. Before he leaves Malakaus makes sure to leave the door locked using a lock of his own design; so heavy and sturdy that a common lockpick would snap just trying to get in. You'd have a better chance just breaking down the door, which isn't any easier thanks to Malakaus intentionally picking a heavy oak to make the door out of. Taking a deep breath of the morning air, ignoring the waste about ten feet away that he threw out of his window, Malakaus heads towards the guild. He had known about it's construction for some time, and had hoped they might've commissioned him to help build it, however no word was ever received. But now he would be the one to go to them, to offer his services not as a smith, but as a warrior.

Arriving at the door of the guild, Malakaus took note of the people gathered here. An elf and dwarf, who Malakaus recognized as the people who were building this guild. Then then human girl and the female centaur. New members perhaps? Either way Malakaus made himself known as he approached. "Mir Dautas. Malakaus Vorinclex. Ushatarob shorat." He intentionally just spoke orcish, to see if anyone here knew what exactly he said. If not, he might start speaking common but he wasn't one for baying with words. He wanted to show his skills, not boast.
Full on steam ironclads? No, but there are some sailing ships that incorporate metal armor. The empire of Ferric has warships with metal hulls that are still powered by sails, which most people call “Iron Islands” because no one has actually seen them leave harbor. While their portentously threat on a straight up fight have been theorized, professional think these Iron Islands were just the dwarves trying time make Iron Clads, failing due to the weight of the ships making them sluggish and impossible to maneuver in the ocean, and trying to save face by saying that they’re being saved for emergencies.

However armored ships in general are a thing, in particular the nation of Jailailk and Atagaanilk utilize things called Turtle Ships, which instead of putting armor on the hull of the ship, the armor is on the deck, effectively creating a large barrier over where the sailors are. Powered by both sails and rowers, despite its armor it’s actually very agile, and designed to ram into larger ships to scuttle or to allow its crew to board. The Atagaanilk ships are sometimes armed with cannons thanks to their trade with Doros, but this usually meant making more space for cannons and less rowers, so their Turtle Ships are slightly slower, and most don’t have more than four cannons, which is not a lot for a warship.

All this being said, the typical meta when it comes to naval warfare is to be able to move fast, maintain your formation, and shoot back hard, so yo save on cost and weight most of the best warships don’t have much armor, or at least what armor they do have is rather light. Hence why Doros is one of the more powerful naval countries in the world thanks to having a massive army of fast moving, hard hitting ships, even if their defenses are lacking.
Name: Malakaus Vorinclex
Race: Orc
Age: 27
Appearance:

Bio: Malakaus is a fairly typical orcish warrior, having been trained since youth to be a warrior. The only difference is that early into his training he found an interest in smithing and working metals, favoring the more complex and vastly more useful metal weapons and armor over his clan's traditional weapons of stone, wood, and bones. Thus he left his clan when he was about twelve years old, which by than he was already taller than most human men and a fair bit stronger as well. He took up an apprenticeship with an armorer for ten years, learning the secrets of smithing and molding metals into weapons, armors, and other useful gadgets. He didn't neglect his training as a warrior either, and often made money to support his education via things such as gladiatorial combat or dueling.

By the time he had completed his training to become his own journeyman, Malakaus had already constructed his own full set of armor, as well as a unique shield and axe. He hopes to improve his skills so that one day he can create a true master piece, testing the effectiveness of his own equipment through practical usage in battle. Of course nothing in life is for free, and if he wants the funding to continue crafting his weapons and armor he needs an income. Thus when he heard about the Angeli Pallidus, a guild of monster hunters, he figured it would solve two issues if he joined them. Not only will they pay him to hunt monsters which he can use to fund his smithing career, but he can test his equipment by hunting said monsters.

Gear:
Battle Axe - Malakaus's custom battle axe. It appears to be a simple, single-sided broad axe, but with a twist of it's handle Malakaus can extend the shaft and turn the axe into a halberd, opening him up to a different style of fighting as needed. It is made entirely of metal and has some issues with durability due to being made of moving, hollow parts, so Malakaus has specifically constructed his axe to be very sturdy, but at the same time it also makes the axe incredibly heavy. Were it not for his orcish strength it would be impractical to use. Malakaus hopes to discover a metal alloy that is lighter without compromising durability.

Shield - A medium sized shield bristling with spikes. Despite it's heavy metal appearance, it's actually quite light. Malakaus's shield is is designed to push his ability to craft a metal that is both light and durable, while also incorporating techniques to treat wood to give it similar light but durable properties. So far he's simply manage to make a fairly decent shield that is lighter than it's design would indicate, but otherwise standard to other metal shields.

Full Plate Armor "Regalia mk.3" - Malakaus' main focus and the only piece of equipment he has given a name. The Regalia mk.3 is a set of full plate armor which on it's own is worth double it's weight in gold for conventional knights and warriors, as it's designed to make the most use of an orc's strength and powerful build to increase it's defenses while being fairly light weight. Granted, it is still heavier than any plate armor sized for a human or dwarf, but proportionally speaking it is rather light. It's design was inspired by a gladiator who defeated Malakaus, who despite being even slower than Malakaus, utilized his armor to full effect to barely be phased by his attacks and unleash an onslaught of blows against him due to his implacability. Malakaus has not yet tested this armor against conventional firearms, mostly due to the fact it's hard for him to get his hands on a gun.

Martial Arts:
Fury - Tapping into his orcish rage, Malakaus doubles his health and stamina, as well as removing any magic effects that affects his mind such as fear. However he can only use his offensive abilities and cannot cast spells. After his fury ends Malakaus loses all of his stamina.

Juggernaught - Malakaus' signature martial arts technique that doubles his physical and magical defense for a short while, enabling him to tank through various attacks, however it constantly saps his stamina while active.

Switch Hit - A technique that utilizes Malakaus' unique axe. By casting away his shield Malakaus can turn his axe into a halberd, increasing his reach and power. This decreases his physical defense by half (Rounded-down) but doubles his physical strength. This ability ends whenever Malakaus has his shield.

Disarming Strike - A precise attack that allows Malakaus to simultaneously strike an enemy and disarm them of their current weapon or other object on their possession.

Armor Crash - Utilizing the weight of his body and his armor, Malakaus can quickly rush and plow through an enemy, doing massive damage as long as he's equipped with his armor. He can do additional damage if he has his shield and this also can knock an enemy down.

Interceptor - Malakaus can use this technique whenever an enemy he can hit tries to move away from him or attack another ally. Malakaus can choose to either intercept the attack himself, taking the attack instead of his ally, or he can attack the enemy instead, damaging them before they can hurt his allies.

Vital Spirit - Malakaus goes into a full defensive mode. While in this mode Malakaus can work up a fighting spirit to help restore his stamina while also increasing his physical defense. It immediately ends if he tries to attack. If Malakaus would take injuries or an attack that would normally kill or knock him out, he can remaining barely standing as long as he was in this mode when it happens, but it immediately ends shortly after.

Daredevil - A risky maneuver where the Malakaus takes on the full damage from an attack, but if he survive it he can immediately counter attack with a blow that causes as much damage to their attacker as their attack did to him.

Magic:
Produce Flame - A basic fire spell Malakaus learned mostly for utility purposes. He conjures a small ball of fire to his hand, which he can throw at enemies to burn them, however he generally just uses it for illumination or to start a fire. Notable for being very effective at drying wet wood.

Mending - A basic spell designed to help repair the damage to objects. It's not strong enough to heal wounds or injuries in living people, but it can repair the damage done to clothing, weapons, and other things that aren't specifically living. It can even repair magic items, though it doesn't restore magic energy.

Likes: Limes, fire, mountain climbing, and kittens.
Dislikes: Bell peppers, being cold, swimming, and snakes.
Extras: Has a pet cat named Barrel, because he found it in a barrel. Malakaus is pretty sure it's a magical cat, he just hasn't figured out what it can do.

Malakaus is also rather educated in magics for an orc, as he used to be sweet on an elf who tutored him. However they had a falling out due to Malakaus' growing romantic feelings for her, and now he shuns romance in general, especially with elves. He still tries to keep himself up-to-date about various magical lore, especially if they relate to ways to improve his crafting.

Doesn't get a lot of respect by both dwarves and orcs. Most dwarves he met see's Malakaus as a mere poser and could never match up to them in the arts, while orcs consider Malakaus incredibly cowardly for his reliance on weapons and armor, as well as his general friendliness around humans.

Malakaus hasn't seen his family in a long time. He isn't sure how they're doing either, and hopes to gain some honor and glory via his crafts before he returns to the clan. He doesn't want to see his family until he feels that he has done something great.
Fortunately that does make the save! You are not poisoned. Also good job on that crit! You managed to knock off half of the sea spawn's health with a single attack. I'm almost certain you don't actually need Sticky, but we'll have to see after this fight.
