Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Darc Matter

3 / 6 Stress || 0 / 9 Wicked XP || 0 / 3 Reckless XP || 0 / 2 Dark Hearts

As the group was debating their next course of action, there was a slight lull in the wind. And during this lull came a noise all too familiar for the monsters: the language of light. This strange tongue spoken by those who claim themselves mortals, a vastly different tongue than the universal language of monsters. Darc had once tried to learn the language for his own ends, but as it turns out he had a hard enough time trying to understand the dark tongue with his granted intellect. The light tongue was a different beast entirely. Still even if Darc did not understand the words he knew something, that there were mortals nearby. Mortals who could lead the group to great fortune.

The party stopped their squabbling and trailed the mortals to some form of mountain ruin. The ground was muddy and the rain did well to hide their approach. The group decided to lay an ambush: Zaz’ak would draw them out from the safety of their ruins while the rest lay in ambush. Everyone took to their positions, Darc choosing to attack from above as he often does. The slick stone was of no concern to him thanks to his natural body enabling him to stick to virtually anything. When one of the watchmen went to relieve himself, Zaz’ak entered the ruins to begin the operation. Shortly after there was some noise, likely Zaz’ak getting the attention of the mortals, and everyone sprang into action.

The succubus distracted the human while Darc crept closer to the dwarf. He did something, some sort of spell or perhaps a magic object, that caused her to freeze in place. Darc dove down to attack the dwarf but the dwarf spotted and duck even lower to the ground. If Darc did not land safely he would harm himself hitting the ground from such a height, so after his failed attack he lashed his tendril to the cliff face he leapt off of, using his momentum to swing himself safely onto leveled ground.

The others were fending off the other mortals, their fear and surprise easily routing most of them. Darc doesn’t intend to let many escape, or else they may warn other mortals of their presence. So to finish this job Darc would focus on the dwarf, as he seemed to be the only surviving mortal who could potentially be a threat. ”Ah if only you knew my tongue, meatbag. You would find some comfort knowing that your destiny will be in the serve of me, feeding me so that I may grow stronger. So rejoice, mortal. You’re about to become part of something much bigger than yourself.”
Whoops wrong place.
Yeouch, three stress. Well at least I’m alive. I’ll have Darc try and kill the man again, this time swiping his feet out beneath him. If/when that success I’ll include it in my new post so Darc is vaguely within the same time flow as everyone else.
@Dark Cloud

Yes, using a skill that says any various of “spend your stress to do X” means you add one level of stress every time you use that ability.
Sorry for the silence, been a busy day. My resistance roll is a 1 and a 3 I use my Dark Heart to try and get an extra roll but that ended up being a 2 so I doubt it went anyways.

We should probs wait to see what Poo does since he hasn’t gotten a chance to go yet. I will be making a post soonish though.
Well Darc doesn’t have muscles, but I imagine that’s not the important part. I’d say he would try to reach towards the cliff he jumped off of, digging his claws and a sticky tendrils to catch himself before he hits the ground. Since his natural weapon has quite a bit of reach he ought to be able to do that before he hits the ground. So what skill would I need to roll for it?
Darc is all about that focus man. He has to kill these dudes first, so I’ll ignore it for now. Also my Dark Impulse is Bad Mouth now, not the one that makes me want to eat things. Though it is tempting.

Anyways I’ll roll to resist. What do I roll for that?
I think it’s go time. Seeing the drunk one do something with magic, Darc will strike from the shadows. He’ll land on the dwarf to cover his mouth and try and strangle him.

Smash: 2 and 3
Aight cool. My next plan will likely involve that dwarf relieving himself, but I’ll let the others roll for their respective skulk or such before I roll my offensive things.
Alright a couple bits of misinformation flowing around, so let me see if I can make sure we’re all working with the same info.

We are not attacking the dungeon right now. We’re still near the tree we were using as cover from the rain. This is in a hilly area and it has been rainy so the ground is slick/muddy.

We hear voices of the light race nearby. We do not know what their races or numbers are right now. They could be giants, they could be humans, they could be dwarves, we don’t know.

None of us can actually speak any light languages naturally. Some of us might be able to proxy a spell.

Using abilities that cost stress means you add stress levels. When you hit your max you go feral. It does not rely on you to actually have any stress levels already (so you can start using abilities at 0 stress).

So with that in mind I still vote ambush. We skulk, scan them, and when they’re at a disadvantage position then we strike. Ideally we can incorporate all of our talents so everyone has some means to contribute.
