Well, basically all the stuff I told Anlu... speaking of whom, that app is accepted... though, I guess I should tell you that there are some species of normal birds, fish, and bugs which are TYPICALLY eaten by pokemon instead of other pokemon. Now, keep in mind that I said TYPICALLY. There are some that, well, don't do that, and a completely wild pokemon (As in, one that's lived in a mystery dungeon for a while) would probably end up doing that sooner or later, anyways due to the effect it (that is, remaining wild) has on their mind.
Names are harder for me. I can't come up with any... ever. Maybe just go with Thassa, sounds snakish enough.
Well, actually, the second one. There are smaller villages (with one actual city), and each guildmaster acts as that city's mayor. So, yeah, organized around adventurers and shopkeepers.

I've explained that yes, TMs exist, and they are kinda rare, and expensive. You can start with 1 TM move, but it can't be over-powered... obviously. It's normal to start with fewer than four moves, so, don't worry too much.
Differences, and you can always come up with the justification, yourself. :P. Remember, you can add types via the 'Differences' section in the app... just don't go overboard, alright?
Well, check at about level 5-10 on what your pokemon learns... if there are no attacking moves (IE: Ralts, or Cubone), feel free to add a weak attacking move that they learn early on.
Also, differences can come into play with moves, too. Say, you have a Buizel that's part fire type, well, they might (at my and the player's discretion) know Ember in addition to whatever moves they'd normally start with.
