Ok I’ll change it.
I stared at the door for a long time. Beyond it I was told salvation waited. Voices argued over my fate but I ignored them. It was curiosity that persisted, curiosity drove me. It demanded nothing, merely wondered what lay beyond. Perhaps I’d listen. My dagger was all I had, but then before I didn’t know I had it. Would I truly miss it after losing it.

Perhaps.

But the question remained: would I really lose it? Would it be missed? It was a tool, a trifling thing. I decided it didn’t matter, all that mattered was what lay beyond. So many questions. I wanted to know. I needed to know. I’d hunt for the answer, stalk it, pursue it, rip it out of its sanctuary. That was my choice. I hefted my dagger, fit it in the slot, and tried to turn it like a key.

Oh wow this blew up! Awesome.
Relic stone? That stuck out to Sonja, given it was a damn random thing to tell people you barely met. She shrugged it off. She patted Missy on the head with two fingers. Missy immediately looked at her.

“It’s okay. Sorry for all the hissing, it’s not a threat I promise.” Missy turned her nose up at that. Of course it was a threat but no way Sonja let him know that.

“Since our Pokemon seem in such high spirits. What do you say to a battle? Something simple to warm up our Pokemon? You’re here to battle too right?”

Sonja felt the hair in the back of neck raise and the pit of her stomach bottom out. The Larvitar looked strong if young, and it’s trainer struck her as experienced.
@AmpharosBoy

It’s okay I understand. I work a lot so yeah.

@Chev

Heyo think we’ll be okay to continue?
Welcome!
Ya know what I yield Arturia wins period (though it makes one wonder how she beats out Sabers older than her but meh). Can we get back to the skill discussion? Should I just cut it or... what?
@Celsius

That's okay. More the merrier I always say.
@VitaVitaAR

I guess not. Honestly the whole system is a little... well wack. I've always looked at in the vein of skill to the younger and power to the older. Cause lets face it, swordsmen and women in the recent five hundred years have had more to work with, better teachers, more refined techniques, the works, the skills are more refined. That's what I'm looking at it from. Yes the older and more mysterious the legend the more power they have not disputing that, but more recent warriors, especially those known to have trained under the edicts of masters like Johannes and Fiore Dei Liberi would have better finesse with a blade than someone from an older era like Arturia. Lock their phantasms away, leaving only their skill with the blade, it'd be an even fight. Besides if we're looking at it from a fame point of view, Arthur's legend only claims he was worthy to pull Excalibur from the stone, legends say nothing of his prowess with it. So in that vein someone who's legend specifically notes a hero's skill with the blade- like Johannes Liechtenauer for example- would be naturally more skilled with a blade. Power is fine, not saying her outright power doesn't eclipse Julie's several times over- which it does- but- and I feel like a broken record- their skill in combat is- while not equal- Arturia defiantly has experience in spades- Julie has a chance. Combat is more than numbers.
