Current I love hunt showdown. nothing like talking shit in prox chat while having a friendly cowboy shootout over a bayou bounty. Now I just need to acquire skill over ungodly amount of hours playing the game

It's crazy to see another furry in the wild. Well, back to my hidey-hole.

Angus McSix and the Sword of Power is a pretty damn good album. I was hesitant about Thomas Winkler's new band after being booted from Gloryhammer but my worry was unfounded. He is def back one better

What's all this about DnD, where my CoC bois at who enjoy the game where every encounter can be a TPK, never use magic unless you want to die, and where you never save the day but delay the inevitable

Vuar’uuk

Description: A hive-minded race with different subspecies (or stains) each bred for a different role. At the very top is the Master Mind, a creature that directly or indirectly commands each individual of the swarm to some unknown goal. Immediately below the Master Mind are the Hive Masters which are not directly controlled by the Master Mind but rather influenced. It is the Hive Masters which dominate the lesser members into serving them, and by extension the Master Mind. The Master Mind has the vast intelligence to drive the technological advancements of the Vuar’uuk and is also the source of their dark magik utilized by the rarer strains.

Military Might: Vuar’uuk can rapidly amass a sizeable force by using specialized biomechanical structures to convert biomass into various strains for combat or any other purpose. Other structures are used to augment certain strains with technological enchantments for additional combat efficiency or to boost inherent abilities. While the ground forces are compromised virtually entirely of organic creatures (some are given cybernetic augmentations), they are capable of constructing aircraft of various sizes which are almost entirely mechanical but have some organic components so to be effectively controlled by Hive Masters.
Strains:

Location: Earth, Central Eurasia

Main characters: Hive Master Nuthrix
(others to be added as the story unfolds)
@Kuchenlein Ok, I got it mostly done. The Only thing I really need to figure out is where exactly they will be located at, probably somewhere on Earth a fair distance from others to give me a few posts to build up a foothold before interacting with others. While the bestiary is not complete, not everything mentioned will be available at the start, a few of those higher tier units will only be producible with an actual outpost established and operational. Let me know what ya' think.

@Kuchenlein Seems pretty interesting, I've been working on a nation for a while that maybe I can prototype here and refine. If it were to be accepted, I don't think I would have it have it start entirely within the RP. I'm thinking of starting with a settlement or an outpost of said nation attempting to get a foothold in a planet. Not entirely decided on anything yet and am willing to change it to a reasonable degree if need be, PM me if you'd like me to give more information.

A few questions though.

How does one travel from one planet to another? are there protals of some kind in predetermined locations or could they happen to be opened ,whether purposefully or not, anywhere?

What is the level of technology, is it decades or even centuries ahead of ours or somewhere closer?

Any types of magik generally not tolerated such as necromancery? Or perhaps it varies from locale?

Looking forward to Iron Harvest. Can't remember a good RTS since 2008 or maybe 2009. (Not talking about larger scale games like Stellaris with a focus on grand strategy, I'm talking about those with a focus on tactics and on occasion even operations).

Other promising games would include Call of Cthulhu: The Official Game, The Sinking City, Smash 5, Post Scriptum/World War 3 (both seem to be promising Battlefield style games set in WW2 and a modern war setting respectivly), and the last at the top of my head would be Rage 2.

I'd like to mention, while not a videogame, The Masks of Nyarlathotep as it is being updated for CoC 5e. Never played the original as I am only recently getting into tabletop gaming but I heard it is a strong contender for best campaign.

No it's all good. You're fine. No need for healing, already had a backup plan ready for that.

so any preference then?

We'd love a healer. -prays-

I dunno, while a healer would be useful I personally can't see much potential in being stuck exclusively in that role. I could make the necromancer-ish guy be able to heal others to some degree which would cement him as a supportive role.
I've been working on a few ideas and not sure which to pick. Thinking between the classic super strength when in a 'berserk' sort of state (like the hulk, though I more was inspired by Cù Chulainn) or necromancery (not so much bringing the dead back to life but more like animating of specifically dead tissue and bone which has no will and must directly be controlled mentally)

Any of these you prefer or should i try finding something else to emulate?
I'm interested, though I want to ask how this 'phobi-ability' thing works. Is it some sort of physical manifestation or something more akin to imbuing an individual with some outstanding quality?

Could be interesting and I already have a handy dandy cheat sheet of phobias i can randomly choose.

(And does P.H.O.B.I.A currently mean anything or is it just for flavor text?)
