In Depth Appearance: Melrose is not what you'd call then, but definitely within a healthy range for her height (5'5"). Besides this, it's apparent she doesn't work out and she doesn't do hard labor by the softness and smoothness of her skin. She does have a very faint scar on her right hip, but otherwise seems to have very healthy skin. Her natural hair color is blonde, but more than often dyes it pink. Otherwise she wears a more femme style of clothing, often seen in short to long skirts with t-shirts. She also enjoys wearing finger-less black gloves a lot - though they are very thin and not meant for any sort of work.

Melrose is certainly unique. She is without a doubt an introvert, giving off feelings of being meek and shy around others, and while this is more out of fear of being rejected - once you start to talk to her, she has no problems actually holding a conversation with a complete stranger. Still it takes some time to get her to truly open up and will, with romance especially, have depressive episodes about having been rejected most of her life.
Besides this, her more redeeming qualities are that she is a true sweetheart. Against all odds of being abandoned her whole life, she has come through with a belief and attitude of wanting to help others, even though she can hold them to higher standards compared to society. Melrose also happens to see the world in numbers, giving her a unique perspective on life and it's complexities. Without a doubt the most defining qualities though is her emotional & romantic nature - she is an empath and often responds to negative environments negatively and also tends to daydream about finding someone to love her, finally.

Melrose grew up in Colorado, but her childhood was far from what you might call healthy. Her father passed away in an accident when she was only four and ever since her mother has been less than enthused about raising a child on her own. The times when her mother was at home, which was rare, they shared a very strained relationship. At an early age, Melrose found a passion for gaming, but her mother would often wave her off as if nothing the little girl did was important.
This lead to, in her teenage years, to feeling skiddish around her peers and making friends (since she had none until this point). Still, she tried her best to be outgoing and friendly, but it didn't seem that effective. To this day, she isn't sure why, but she can only guess it was because she thought a bit differently - and well, flirting with other girls in a small town was a bit frowned upon. She had just known she was a lesbian without so much as a thought, but it only served to push her peers and even her mother away even more.
Finally, entering college to learn accounting, having learned how she thought - she finally made some friends and even had a few girlfriends. However the breakups from the girlfriends ended sharply and painfully, often telling Melrose that she was too clingy, and her friends slowly pushing her away. After college, she had started to slowly withdraw and just keep to her work and escape reality in the form of video games - a world that had never rejected her. However an online 'friend' of hers has recently encouraged her to try again, so she's deliberately moved from a large apartment of her own.
