The traumatizing events of the night did not have long to sink into her thoughts when Asher had asked her to take first watch. At first, after Asher retired to his tent for the first part of the watch, Johanna waited until silence filled the air. Her thoughts were rampant, she needed to take a walk. Before leaving, Johanna collected a small bundle of sticks and twigs to feed the fire while she away, with that she departed, taking nothing more than the shortsword. She back-tracked her way through the scorched campsite of the refugees. Johanna wasn't sure as to why she had even bothered to come back. She examined the dead, and found the woman that Asher had slain. Kneeling beside the corpse, Johanna cast a backwards glance over her shoulder before exploring the woman's pocket-folds. Johanna fished out two copper coins, marked with Sevitel origins, and peculiar red bottle. The bottle itself was no larger than her palm in length wise. Tucking the bottle away into her own dress folds, Johanna rose to her feet and continued to explore the camp.

Not much time had passed until Johanna had reached the outskirts of the battle, where the explosion occurred. The landscape was charred with blackness, blood, and the stench of death. At the sight of such travesty, she couldn't help but to feel grief. The internal war in Sevitel had dire consequences on its people, that higher class were not aware of still.

Her thoughts wandered again, and while they wandered, Johanna lost herself in the surroundings. Before long she had made it to the edge of a campsite. Subconsciously, she was surprised that she had even discovered it by herself without any previous knowledge of its location. Crouching behind a low shrub, Johanna held her breath in hope that she had not been heard. She had discovered the campsite of the strange hooded people. From her location, she could see five hooded figures huddled around their fire talking in low, hushed tones. She couldn't quite pick out their mumbled speech. But she could see just as well. On one of the arms of the figures, there was a strange glove like device. Beneath the forearm, an empty glass bottle was strapped to the arm, she could even see strange copper coloured wire running along the fingertips and towards the bottle. How strange. Johanna had never lain eyes upon such a strange and unique device before. But what was it? Magic? A weapon of some sort? And then a nagging thought began to eat at her, was this device the cause of the massive explosion? Johanna decided to return to her own camp before she risked discovery.

Slipping away into the night without a sound, Johanna made her way back to camp. Upon her return, she found that the fire had dwindled, so she immediately set upon the task of feeding the flames with the sticks and twigs she had collected before hand. She decided that she would wait awhile longer before going to wake Asher for his watch. After all, she was wide awake, and her mind disturbed by the evenings events. Taking time to collect her thoughts and organize them into a less chaotic mess would give her peace of mind for the time. She pulled her knees close to her chest and stared deeply into the blue heart of the fire that crackled noisily.

You realize something... Angel is not a fighter close combat and most likely Anjiru would possibly be released in that scenerio? >_>

Your intro post for your characters is for you to decide. If you choose to have Anjiru released, that's on you, if you choose to have Angel flee for safety, that's still up to you. Either way, make sure that she ends up with our group. That's all I ask.

I've got a few ideas up my sleeves for this one. Angard and Cherod are still going to war, but I think Princess Satienne is going to be kidnapped (I'm gonna have to create an excuse for her presence in Barkamsted), but she's going to leave behind some magical artifact for us, that will aid us in our fight for Cherod.
Here's how I'm going to restart the Scrolls:

We're starting off in a town called Barkamsted. It's 5 miles north of Grovett Pass in Angard, the Cherods have moved their forces into this village, so Farynrr has sent some reinforcements because the village leader has asked for aid to deal with the unruly and rowdy militiamen., seeing as how they have no town militia.

Refugees are in the town, they're camping out anywhere they can, in fields, on the streets, sleeping in the inns, and for those who cannot afford a roof over their head, have erected a mass of tents for those without homes.

Rhaedin, sent on regards from King Eyres of Oradea, is on her way to settle the dispute between the villagers and the Cherods when a fight breaks out in the market. A villager is killed, and this is how I plan to introduce everyone's character. The Cherod and Angardian soldiers will fight it out, and somehow, we're going to have to end up together, either fighting our way through, or fleeing. This entire town is about to be massacred, we're going to be the sole survivors.
Ok. I've got an idea for a restart, I'm ready to do this. Is everyone ok if we keep everything going on this thread, and not start a new one? I'm in the process of writing the intro post.
If we do a restart, I don't think I'll start it off the same. It was a slow beginning. Unless you guys are cool with restarting in Kvechuk, although I think it might be redundant for the older players. I think an attack on a southern Angard village near Grovett Pass from the Cherods would be an exciting place to start. There's more opportunities for back-stories to be created here.
Sorry it's taking so long guys, I just got caught up in working 2 jobs at the moment, I plan on having a post up by tomorrow night by the latest, if not sooner.

And I've been thinking...would restarting be an option that some of you would want to consider if we can't get this back up and running?
I agree, I only realized the situation I put us in after posting a day or so later. The next scene, it would be beneficial if everyone congregated back at the inn, so that we can receive our "reward" from Matthias. Now, there is something I haven't thought out yet, what does everyone want to do after that?

Do we rest until the late afternoon, and head out for Grovett Pass? Some collabs amongst everyone could help our characters become more acquainted with the newer members of the group, unless some find this pointless. But then, I figured we'd set out with the intentions to make camp later in the evening.

Do we stay the night in the inn? I really see no reason why we would need to do this, unless someone wants to suggest any ideas.

Or do we set out right after receiving our reward? I'm sure that would really piss Zal off, lol. With the lack of sleep and what not, he's had enough, poor fellow. Crying sparrows, tree ents, bandits, and a bad headache. However, it is still an option for us. We would still have the intentions to make camp at nightfall, and our goal would be to head to the Pass.

Ideas, suggestions, thoughts?

To answer this....Very good.

I got a second job, but I'm not any busier than before. Which is good for me. If I need to, I can post again, maybe even a timeskip.
Tzarima, if you want to sit out this round on posting, that's fine with me. This posting round is just to wrap this scene up, so no worries if you want to.
