These are all creatures I will probably be introducing some time in the future.
My last post of the day here and the greatest adoptive Father in the world is created.

Edit: Changed the flute song in IC post.

Edit 2.0: Changed flute song again. Same song but different cover.
Vent/Anne

”I’m really sorry sir but this town isn’t full of the nicest guys in the world. It’s only natural to react the way I did. I was lucky you came when you did else my blood may have well be a new paint around here. I knew I shouldn’t have tried to get money here on the island, the Red Banners were sure to take notice if I did. Oh shite! We should really go, before a Red Banner gets here and notices the trouble you caused.” Anne said as she held her hand out for Vent to use as support. The man was shaky on his legs and almost fell over once he was standing but he was glad for the help the woman had offered him. Vent stood almost a full foot taller than the girl and thus was essentially just using the walls and railings as support since he probably would of knocked her over he tried to use her for support. The pair met the first gate which was free of guards and meant that they would have to pay a toll to get back through.

Vent had recovered to perfect health by the time he was halfway down the small, natural bridge which connected the mainland to the island. ”So, uh… what were you doing in that part of town if you knew it was dangerous? Well that should be obvious really, you needed the money for food. Oh don’t act like I didn’t notice, I’ve spent plenty of time like that back at Cordal with my family so I know how it feels.” Vent told Anne as they walked across the rock bridge. He finished the statement by putting his hand on his own stomach. The boat he was on didn’t have much food to offer him and his coin wasn’t enough to buy more rations off another poor sap. But, the pair were approaching the slums outside Rockvale and there was certain to be a place the pair could get some affordable food from.

Vent was waiting for Anne to respond when turned his view downwards and saw the blood which had caked into Anne’s hair form when the men tossed her to the side. He held his tongue for a little while but couldn’t just leave it alone. ”Uh, you’ve got a bit of blood from when those bastards threw you aside on your head. We should probably take care of that with some water and a rag. Well, I guess I’ll take care of it since you wouldn’t of… well I guess your injuries would have been worse if I didn’t arrive but I still want to take care of it for you if you’ll allow me.” Vent as he walked alongside Anne as they almost reached the second gate to the slums. Anne stopped almost immediately as Vent finished his statement and he wouldn’t have noticed it wasn’t for the fact that he had been listening for any other footsteps.

”Are… are you serious? You don’t even fucking know me! How can you so willing take care of someone like me! I’m just another slum rat that nobody should notice yet you act like I’m the center of the world! How can you care?” Anne screamed at Vent in pure rage. The young man had barely known the girl for ten minutes but he already was caring for her. Vent stood almost completely still with his back to the girl before he let out a high pitched whistle. The sound of a sharp chirp could be heard from somewhere above as a small, red bird descended from the clouds above and landed on Vent’s shoulder.

”This is Callie… she’s been with my family for as long as we could remember. She has no real family that we know of and we’ve been caring for her since my Father found her. She’s quite like you actually. I can tell you know, you’ve never known a family and that is why you reacted in anger towards me. Honestly, I would care for everyone in this entire town if I had the money simply because of how they are treated. But you, you were attacked and yet injured when I defended you. It simply isn’t acceptable to walk away.” Vent said as he turned around. He grabbed Anne by her shoulders as he finished and gave her a sort-of-awkward hug. He walked forward, confident now that Anne would follow him even if she was unsure about him. The pair walked into a small tavern which smelled of piss and rotten wood and sat a table. Vent asked for a cup of water and a rag as well as two pieces of bread and waited till the items arrived.

”Let me… repay you the only way I know how sir. By song.” Anne said as she pulled her wooden flute out from her simple dress. She started to play a flute melody as Vent’s ordered items arrived and he took care of her. The man barely touched his bread and instead pushed more than half of his own piece to Anne as she played. For the first time in his life, Vent’s face betrayed his emotions as stray tears fell down his face. He, of course, wiped them off and smiled away at the song the woman was playing.
So far so good.

@Mag Lev Urban and I are gonna be making use of your port city pretty soon. Any interesting or random facts you wanna share so we can properly display it going in?

Now I can answer with the disappearance of the nearly tornado causing storm in my area.

Let me describe as best I can.

Rockvale is by far the dingiest and most rotten port city there could ever be. The city was not created out of the trade of legal items nor the sales of items from the Continent to the regular world. Rather, Rockvale was created by pirates and is far from lawfully good. The entrance of the city has a gate but it was created by the local thugs, the Red Banners, who rule the city. Most common goods are priced insanely above common prices and stealing it is often accepted so long as one can avoid the people who run the stand. Just don't steal from the Red Banners, they have informant throughout the entire town and would have no issue making a few nobodies disappear and another group of nobodies happier. Most of the buildings seem to be made of wood which smells like rot while the center of the town, where the port can be found, have buildings built out of stone and into the island itself. That center portion is where the Red Banners members can be found spending most of their time.

I'll flesh out the Red Banners some more here soon but I'd prefer to get my two characters out of the center of the town now that I've created the Red Banners. I guess I should add this as well, the small dirt road you can find in the picture of Rockvale leads to a town of wood houses. Most of these houses are built out of shipwrecked parts and the center of that little slum is the mast of a ship with a blood red flag flown off it. The flag is literally stained with blood mind you. Any way, that is what I've got for the time being.
Day 06 - A song you can always relate to

This song was pretty much my life except for the fact that I wasn't trying to marry her. I was simply dating her when I was in high school and her Father hated me with every fiber of his being. So I decided to say fuck him and dated her anyway. Still dating her now in fact.
Anne

Anne had set out early in the morning to play her flute for those who listen, which were few and far between. She could earn several coppers in an average day and it might have gotten at least an apple for the day. But it would fail to stave away the hunger which had been gnawing at her stomach for weeks. At one point, Anne weighed a nice hundred pounds for her five feet and two inches height but she had weighed about eight pounds for nearly a year. She just wished she was anywhere but Rockvale but no company of merchants were willing to take along a girl who couldn’t even support her own weight.

It was nearing dusk when she would meet the young man by the name of Vent. He would truly be hero who rescued a damsel in distress

Vent

Vent had been at sea for several weeks and had been heading for an entirely different city when he landed in Rockvale. A storm had swept his ship off course by nearly three hundred knots and sent them towards Rockvale. If Vent was a different man, he would have went to his original destination but had determined it Fate that he had ended up near Rockvale. His ship anchored away from the city and the crew took a rowboat to the shore due to the large rocks which surrounded the port city. Vent had managed to get on the first boat to the city and paid them ten silver for transporting him.

It was the luck of a young bard that he had arrived when he did. Night was quickly approaching and the bard had been on her way back to the small bed she had set up in an alleyway when a couple of drunkards had grabbed her. ”Look wha’ we caught Jeremay! Ain’t she just a beauty.” replied one of the drunkards. Their intents were obvious by the wandering and unwelcome hands. But they had chosen the wrong place to assault the young woman as Vent wandered into the road where they stood. He could easily tell that the men were unwelcomed by the woman and he reacted as quickly as any other person would have walked away.

”Hey, let go of the girl or you’ll lose hand!” Vent said as he held his sword out in front of him as he was trained to do. Though his inexperience in battle was obvious, the six foot tall man was intimidating to look at. The two drunkards pulled out their own daggers and threw the bard to the side, hitting her head against a loose brick and knocking her unconscious. They were ready for a fight and would have won it had it not been for the drinks they had taken beforehand. Vent didn’t actually cut either of their hands off, but he did remove a finger from one and may have cut a ear off the other by accident.

”Hey, are you alright girl? Come on now, it’s alright. Just sit up slowly now.” Vent said as he pulled the waking girl up. It took the woman a while before she could clearly see the face of hero in front of her. He was cut across his left cheek and his nose had been broken but she didn’t quite respond the way Vent thought she would. Anne quickly kicked him in the balls and ran down the alley, only to realize that it was a dead end. Vent lay on one side in the most pain he had ever felt in his entire life as Anne sat at the other end of the alley. That is, until Anne noticed the two drunkards lying behind Vent with worse wounds than his own. She quickly rushed to the injured hero and sat beside him.

”Oh, I’m so sorry there mate. I didn’t think you were the one who helped me.” Anne said to Vent. All Vent could do was sit there in pain.
Got my two characters up. Started with a bard as a narrator, decided it would be more fun to include her in the story of Vent the Explorer as well so Anne was created. I'll get to work on the first post soon enough.
Main Characters:

Filius Ventura Cantrella, aka Vent or Wanderer

“Are ye all ready to hear a story of the most wonderful tell? Nay? Well too facking bad ye fools! I don’t care for what demands ye make of me, this is my turn to tell a story and tell it I shall!. Now listen close for I ain’t much one for repeatin’ myself and I don’t like talk over banter. Yes, I am talkin’ about you Darian, now shut yer fucking trap and listen. Good good, now we can start that I have all ye youngins’ attention.

This tale comes from that Continent everybody talks about but it began here, in our quaint little town o’ Cordal. Yes, I know what yer thinkin’, our here town ain’t never created anybody of note. We are just simple farmers and hunters but there existed a family here once who were known for their eccentricities, most notable among them was their need to explore everything. Their family bore only one child, a son by the name o’ Filius Ventura Cantrella. He went by Vent though. Vent always wondered off into the forest and cared little for anything us simple folk coulda taught him.

It was when the young man turned eighteen summers old that his father passed on their own hidden secret, a facking magical beast which followed the youngest member of the family around. They had no idea when it came from and we had never even noticed it because they kept it locked up in their house. But, it was alone in its life and the Cantrellas hated such a thing for such a beauty. That is why they wandered everywhere. They was searchin’ for its home but none o’ them had thought to go to the Continent until Vent suggested it. That’s how our hero landed himself in a small port city built in the rocks around the coast of the Continent.

Now, I remember the day he arrived like it was no other…”
*Scene fades to black*

Jeanne Silvus Osterian, aka Anne or Bard

“You lot probably wouldn’t believe me but I was a young woman back then. Barely older than sixteen but had been left there by what one woulda called a family. But they were no family to me. Them bastards had gotten pregnant on the Continent and bore me into the world only to leave me at that damn Port. That city was called… Rockvale I think. I don’t quite remember. There were so many lands that I traveled through, so many cities whose streets I walked, and too damn many times where I begged to get just a bit o’ coin to feed myself for the night. Now though, now I live a happy life and it never woulda happened it it tweren’t for that fool of man Vent.”

Hmm, the one thing I have been most annoyed with recently are the people I tutor in my spare time. Every time I try to teach them something, they try and correct and it pisses me off so much. 'Oh I know so much more than you so I may correct whenever I feel like even if I am wrong.' I'm just like, bitch, you wouldn't need me if you were smart enough to do this yourself. Half of you aren't even passing basic level high school classes while I passed my Advanced Honors and AP classes with A's and B's. I just wished I could tell them to shut up but I need the cash to pay for some of my bills and they are from idiot rich families whose singular goal is not having the dumbest kid in the fifty states of America.

That and I really hate it when people interrupt me when I'm talking period. It makes plenty of sense to allow another person to talk and then respond but I instead have interruptions left and right. Just shut up when I'm talking and then you can talk as soon as I'm done. Not like they have anything intelligent to say.
