The One, The Only.

The classic burger. Quick and easy food for me to make plus I can make a hell of a burger in my apartment without a grill since I have a cast iron skillet. It is great.
Underrated: The Dungeon Siege Series

Anybody ever heard of the three games known as Dungeon Siege? No? That is okay though, I don't know anybody who actually knows of them or remembers them. The original two of the trilogy were great games, built in the style similar to Diablo with a story just as long and a great replay value. You can build your character to use specific items like in any game by choosing which path they'll follow through out the game and allotting your skill points properly. Hell, using those weapons gives levels in them allowing you to use more advanced weapons and be more proficient in using them. Unfortunately, the third game was a mess that strayed away from what made the first two great and ended up being forgotten not too long after its release.

Overrated: The Deus Ex Series

Don't get me wrong, I like the games. The setting is interesting and the world is neat. But it is just a bit overrated. The games aren't great and, despite being labelled as "a game where your choices matter", you more or less end up with a ending that doesn't align with your choices due to the restrictions the game puts on your. Your choices at the end of the second game could've changed the world's view on augs in the third game. Or perhaps it is just the fact that the outcomes were actually just vague enough to support that the hatred of augs would exist no matter what you do. Making you wonder, did your choices ever really matter if you aren't ever going to actually change the people's view?

Then again, I don't know if I like the games where your choices impact that world. They just never get it right for what my character wishes to do. A choice either leads towards a bad ending or a good ending simply because of the fact that there were somethings you agreed with and somethings you didn't. Simply because there were moments where you thought killing was better than leaving the people alive and other moments where you spared somebody's life.
Underrated: Grim Dawn

I didn't even know this game existed until I had bought a monthly bundle from Humblebundle. Even then, didn't even play it till now, months later. Made in the old school style of dungeon crawling with the likes of Diablo, Grim Dawn can be very repetitive like them. It doesn't detract from the value of the game though as this means you are less willing to die far from your most recent Rift Gate or have to walk all the way back through the dungeon you just went through to try and kill a boss again. Which will very well happen as, if you are too low of a level or simply get bad luck with your heals, you can die in an instant. Even the mobs can kill you purely by swarming you, though there are certain classes that deal well with this.

Overrated: Stardew Valley

Like repetitive games where you have to learn the hard way how to do things properly or you'll end up broke before you know it and can't do shit for the special events? Well, Stardew Valley is for you then. Play a farmer who use to work in a city for the JoJo corporation, the big evil corporation that definitely adds value to the game. Totally not sarcasm, I swear. Anyway, you pretty much spend half your time building up the shit you have so that you can have more than enough money to afford shit. Oh yeah, apparently a chicken coop costs about 50k gold in that world to fuckin build it. Not to mention she only needs some wood for you otherwise.

Location: Flight BAW229; Los Angeles to London.

The call from his Father had brought him shock, more so than the call he had actually been expecting less than a night ago. How had his Father’s health had taken a turn for the worst so quickly? How had he degraded in health within a few years since his son’s departure for the US? William was woe to have to return to the UK, dropping a story of a murder out in LA in order to take the earliest flight back possible.
Why did he feel like this was his fault though? Why did he feel like his Father would’ve been perfectly fine had his son not gone off to become a reporter? Had he stayed in the UK and ran their business together, a surely safer job than being a reporter, would his Father not have had a heart attack? William knew it wasn’t his fault that his Father had a heart attack while driving, he had always lived a high cholesterol and high stress life. But now that his Father was in a coma with a brain injury from the crash he caused, perhaps he could’ve avoided the dangers with no stress from worrying about Will.

He pushed the thoughts out of mind and focused on his work at hand, typing up a report and letter to his boss on his current situation from his laptop. He was happy to have gotten the thing from his Father on Christmas, even more happy that it had come with all the features he needed to do his work without having to spend extra time searching for it .Everything about it screamed being streamlined for journalism. ”Thank god my old man at least has the sense to support me in doing what I want to do,” He said as he hit the enter button, sending the mail and closing his laptop with a sigh.

Will stood and advanced towards the rear of the plane, heading for a bathroom, when the turbulence hit and he was forced to brace himself against the seats as the plane shook. It was nothing new to him but he knew better than to test his stomach and try to move against the turbulence. He also wasn’t too keen on falling over from a sudden bump and onto another person. The last time that happened, he ended up getting a black eye.

When the creaking and groaning started, it didn’t worry him all that much. Planes did it all the time after turbulence, just the metal shifting a bit after being knocked around for several minutes.Yet, this went on for too long and the sudden cracking sound that filled his ears, similar to the explosion of a car which he had heard a while back. His body was launched back and into a seat, causing a sharp explosion of pain through his body.

William tried to push himself up, to gain some sort of leverage against the angle the plane had taken as it was going down yet found that the pain in his arms was far too great. He knew he would definitely have terrible bruises from this if not a hairline fracture in his forearm. As he rolled over to look down, he saw his case clatter against the seats, almost falling past him had it not gotten hit by another one. There wasn’t much inside, just a pencil and some clothes, but if the plane was going down then he would certainly need it.

He could hear the plane groan ever more until it tore itself apart, forcing the two halves to fall apart and baggage to scatter to the wind, he curled up his body as tight as he could against the seats his body was forced against and covered his head. William knew that this may be the end of his life if he gets unlucky or leave him with many broken bones if he was lucky. But he wasn’t about to give up quite yet.
I will get to writing tomorrow. Off work and have the free time so gonna make use of my time tonight to rest.

Some basic background for my god, still a work in progress.
As a basic place holder since I've mostly been only conversing over discord with others, I've begun work on a Goddess of Sorcery and Witchcraft.
Underrated: The Banner Saga

It was a good game, your decisions could mean losing your strongest warrior, or most liked one if you make the wrong decision. Every action could lead to a change in the story considering you are fighting monsters far stronger and far more numerous than your own characters. Going down in battle leads to injuries which makes the characters weaker and forces you to switch them out for the next battle.

Overrated: Payday 2

A game which is only difficult when your allies are stupid and don't know how to properly do a mission or you decide to select too hard of a mission without the proper preparation. It is nice, don't get me wrong there, but damn is it simple.
On the same year that my mother divorced my father and move away, I watched my oldest brother who had always been a part of my life for years ship off to Iraq for his first tour. During the time, I didn't know if he'd even come back or if he would die there. He was part of armored infantry so he was definitely at risk of hitting an IED, he did in fact get in a firefight with insurgents and got injured. He then came back with PTSD and his fiancee at the time broke off the marriage. He struggled with his PTSD for a long time and the man who I looked up to hid it the entire time behind a smile.

For those wondering, he is better now. He completed therapy for his PTSD a couple years back, he is now married to a woman far better than his ex, and he has a good and stable life now. He made it back alive and survived, which some veterans don't do. He is my brother, more than anything else, and I was broken after not hearing anything from him while he was on tour.
