I love creating writing and I am here to practice the art form.

I'm in nursing school and I am a husband to a beautiful woman and a father to an active 1 year old. I'm new to this type of Roleplaying but I'm excited to play. Hit me up, make me your friend, I'm generally always up to roleplay.

I might be interested in playing with you, are you still interested in making it a game?
Okay friend, I posted a character bio for my boy, feel free to delete the unnecessary messages from the character column.:)
Character Name: Talon Aukvaren

Talon is a 15 year old young man who works in the back end of a Blacksmith shop. His primary job is to pound the heavy metal used to forge Knights' armor into workable plates, a job he has performed consistently for the last 3 years. This job has given Talon broad shoulders, strong arms, and a well of stamina.

Talon has a younger sister he calls Nala, she is 12 years old. Her job is to clean the tools, floors, and counters at the shop. In payment for their work they are allowed to sleep in little straw beds in the back of the shop and are allowed to eat and drink their fill from the Knights' barracks which is close by.

Six years ago, when Talon was only 7 and Nala was 4, the two of them watched as their mother was taken to the center of the little village where they were born and burned alive for witchcraft. Their mother had a condition that people found peculiar, one of her eyes was brown and the other one was blue. Talon had never seen his mother do anything bordering on magic, she was nothing more than a gentle person who would sing to him and his sister and try to teach them about the plants growing around their little cottage. That awful night when the Inquisition beat down their door, slit their father's throat without questions, and dragged their poor mother to her doom is burned into his soul, and has given his face a grave cast and his character a serious demeanor. Talon and Nala were in the room and watched as all of it happened.

The newly made orphans were ignored and left to fend for themselves. The Inquisition did their business and left, as abruptly as they had came. The people of the village were too scared to help the children; even though the little ones had grown up in the village the villagers refused to acknowledge them at all, no matter how loudly they cried. They knew that Nala had the same condition as her mother, one of her eyes was brown and one was blue, and no one was brave enough to risk the swift and terrible retribution the Inquisition might bring.

If it weren't for Nala, Talon knows he would have given up any desire to live and would have curled up in a corner and let himself die in that cabin, but he had to be strong for her. She had no mother, no father, only him, and he had a duty to protect her and make sure she would survive. Talon wrapped Nala's face with a bandage and told her if anyone asked she hurt it in a hunting accident.

So it has been since then. A little orphan boy and his baby sister living off whatever scraps they could forage from gardens and garbage. When the Blacksmith found them they were wisps of children. His own wife and son had died in an illness that spread a few years back, a coughing plague, and so his heart was tender when he saw them and he took them in and put them to work, and for three years the children have known kindness and peace.

Serving in the forge exposed Talon to the knights of the realm and their codes of honor and duty. His heart aches to be a knight, though he is not certain how to go about it since he is not of noble birth. His mind is always on protecting and taking care of his sister, and his dedication to do what has to be done is the sun in his life and motivates all his actions. His fighting skills are wild and untrained, but he is very strong and doesn't tire quickly. He has a keen mind and a great deal of concentration and focus.

NPCs:

Kovar: the castle blacksmith

A kindly, older man who lost his wife and young son in a plague that ran through the town a few years previous. He works for the king and manufactures armor for King's Knights.

Naleena Aukvaren (Nala): Talon's sister

Twelve years old but wise beyond her years. She lives to take care of her brother, who frequently forgets to take care of himself. She is quiet and thoughtful and not easily surprised. She wears an eyepatch to cover her blue eye and is a competent bow hunter, a skill she developed to support the story that she hurt her eye while hunting.
I offer 3 characters with no crazy stats like some other posters, but just for starters. As OP you get the choice to accept, use, or dismiss at will.

1. KNIGHT A young boy who's mom was burned as a witch (she may or may not have been a witch, I'm leaning towards not). He has a younger sister. They watched the whole thing and were traumatized by it. Their father also was killed as he attempted to protect his wife. The boy grew up an orphans and the boy developed a strong sense of chivalry from taking care of his little sister. The character can build from there, I'd say age him around 13, his sister 3 years younger, and their parents were killed when he was 7 and she was 4.

2 INQUISITOR A witch hiding as an inquisitor (i don't mind if you want to play any of these characters, this is for fun not for money lol) There's so much fun to play in this story. It might be unoriginal, but I've never played such a character so it'll be original to me.
Another Inquisitor character concept would be an old, hateful man who is disfigured and lives in a constant state of pain. He hates witches and blames his disfigurement on his mother, who he suspects was a witch. This old man is Nihilistic in his views, he cares nothing for anything because every day is living torture. He hates women, and he looks at every woman as potentially a witch or working for a witch. His character would be a villain, and his tools would be torture.

3. WITCH A young girl who's mother was killed as a witch because the little girl cast a spell and mom took responsibility for it. Again, not an original idea for when playing for fun stock characters can be fun to play.

Let me know what you think OP, I'm open to suggestions and thoughts.
I'm game to play in this your fantasy world good person. I would be interested in either playing a night, and inquisitor (if you're looking for an Inquisitor I would prefer to play a female one but I'm not limited to that) or I can play a witch, any one of these characters are right for development.

What information would you like from me?
Thank you very much for the invites after reading the IC posts and the detailed character sheets this story is not 100%, what I'm looking for to get started. I'm sorry to peek interest and then shy away but I'm looking for something based a bit more in the horror literature type, however the level of imagination and you guys's role play is really incredible and I'm enjoying just reading the story as it unfolds so thank you very much for that.
I'm in, I like madness. Where do I go to begin?
I'm interested in playing if there's still a spot for an occult club member. Should I fill out the chat sheets and send them to you? Note: this'll be my very first do so let me know if you'd prefer more experienced players, I won't take offense
Hey There, Hi There, Ho There!

My real name is *cough! cough! Wheeez!!* Sorry, I got a fly in my throat or something, anywho, my name is Maglar, but my friends call me......
Maglar, don't call me Maggie, my mom calls me that.

I first discovered this kind of Role play some 20 years ago on a website called eesite.com, which no longer exists. It hosted a couple cool games, Utopia was the one I preferred, but off to the side it had these story forums. Being an avid reader of all things fantasy I became quickly addicted and got to participate in a number of beautiful stories, and I made a friend or 2 there as well.

Though I have some limited experience I still consider myself an apprentice to the hobby, mostly because I haven't participated in a few forevers. My preferred genres are Fantasy and Horror (I've never written horror so this'll be new) and my preferred style is a few paragraphs at a time.

I'm really looking forward to adding my funny to your fun, to make lit' your literature, and turn some Role play... into Gold Play!

I'm really thankful you guys put together this site, I spent some time looking for a good one and this one seems to be it. See you in the Forums!
