A box of pastries sat on his desk atop a pile of books, paper…his black coffee half drunken to his left, Daniel Boyer paged through a book as Dr Li came in. The book in question? Avian Anatomy. Watching the other doctor fuss about with the envelopes, the man leant on the desk by one elbow as he set down his reading material, watching the guards come in with the subject.
“A tiny thing, aren’t you?”
Glancing from the small winged teen to Dr Li, light reflected off of his glasses from the ceiling light of his office, obscuring his eyes, “Stay. The subject is nervous; she may possibly feel somewhat less tense if there is another female around. Possibly.” Making a dismissive gesture at the guards, though it largely meant for them to wait where they couldn’t be seen, Daniel got up and made his way over to the girl.
"Designation _____, Zoey, right? Let me just..."
This wasn’t the way to do things, but he would properly weigh the girl after, he was still wearing his gloves and lab coat, after all. Reaching out, Dr Boyer attempted to pick up the small teen with his gloved hands, for however long he could.
