So I took the advice of a friend who helped me down from a bad place, and decide I need more help than I've been seeking. I don't know what it means, it might mean moving, hospital, idk. I find out.

@shamrocknrollI like those guys as well, but haven't gotten to interact with one yet. :( I have however enjoyed Great Pyrenees mountain dogs. Very sweet. Oh, forgot to thank you for the greeting, so thank you!
@shamrocknroll Feeling pretty happy now that I'm back on a regular schedule involving a working computer. Ayy and you like the dogs too. Any favorite dog breed? Mine's fairly obv lol.
Usually some basic advice like practicing and preparation techniques would suffice for a writer of average anxiety, inexperience or other issues. Thing is, I have to call the severity of the situation into question when I struggle to write out a discussion forum post. For example. The grammar here may look okay, but I've corrected it many times already before getting to this sentence. I also spent some time holding down a single letter and spazzing out.

I don't want to get too in depth, but I have personal conditions that lead to things like spazzing out/blacking out/memory issues/anxiety. This makes things especially depressing when I'm an older and experienced writer who spent nights at the keyboard pumping out only to find myself in these recent dry years. It's gotten so bad I've forgotten basic writing rules that I used to know by heart. Things that once made my writing decent but now plague me as I manually go back to recheck everything ten times for embarrassment.

Okay, maybe this IS getting a little too personal.

Let's focus on the discussion I aim for. Writing here can also mean roleplaying, obviously.

1) Do you like to write but struggle to get started, finish or with the process itself? What motivates you to do it despite the struggle?
2) Any anxieties about what you write? What techniques help you to feel more confident?
3) If you have memory issues (or not?), any skills or processes to not lose valuable info?
4) Did you ever take a break from writing for a long time? What motivated you to come back? Suggestions for someone else to get in practice?
5) General suggestions for both newbies and oldies to improve their skills.
@Tyler Night <sinks teeth into donut, shaking it before downing it in one bite>
1 - Got it.
2. I'll keep that in mind, I usually tend to just take the best offer or nothing rather than make binding agreements anyway.
3 - What of dogs in dog suits?
4 - That is an intriguing image, I won't be able to forget for sure.
5 - Must remember you guys for the next time the tummy growls online. I can cook too, but whether anyone trusts mine is up for debate/analysis.

Update: Home laptop is fixed so I can finally get started with some RP projects (I've literally been planning them for weeks in my head and on paper in anticipation). Can also check out things that seem like a good time to join. Now that I have it I should be online daily 95/100 times. Look forward to roleplaying!
@Lady Amalthea I will be very careful! It's my first day after all, stranger danger amiright. Honestly it still sounds better than what the rest of my day will be so lol.

@Nallore <snaps at limb in midair and whines when I fail> I'm trying to keep the furry (is it furry if I'm just a regular dog) roleplaying to minimum but the flying objects are making it hard...

@Lady Amalthea Wow a straight jacket and padded room sounds very relaxing I will need to take you up on that. Am I allowed to sleep in there? Not really a meat eating gal, but I CAN play fetch with the limbs so it works out. Thank you I'll do my best!

@Nallore Thank you! <3 I may take you up on that in awhile!
Thanks roleplayer guild.

Anyway, in all seriousness I've lurked roleplaying for awhile without really having the free time to do anything. I thought I'd hone my writing first but I decided perhaps it should be the other way around: I'll hone my writing by roleplaying. For now I've gotta lurk a little more until I repair my home computer to be able to participate.

But I look forward to contributing as GM and player and even a friend if my howling, staring and humping your leg doesn't scare you off. Oh wait, that's dogs. I'll kinda just be there for chillin and being creepily invested in fantasy and people I've only known a few minutes. :]
