Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Niesha returned Victor’s smile, and nodded, ”Yes, I nearly gave the messenger a concussion, rushing back from giving Ceil his Ginger. It worries me, as well. Still...it could be explained that she is young, and the young are susceptible to sinus infections, but still better to be safe than sorry. I’ll help keep an eye on her” She said as she followed him back into the infirmary. She listened as he rattled off the symptoms, rolling them around in her head, thinking. For a time before the outbreak, it wasn’t uncommon to have people ask for advice in the pharmacy, the patients not wanting to wait at a doctors office if they could help it. Niesha sighed softly, ”Well, it all sounds pretty normal for a sinus infection, but I don’t like that it developed from a cold, it's not that common to do so…” Niesha looked over to Anna, and nodded, ”Honey should soothe the throat, can make it much like I do Ceil’s ginger, in a cup of hot water. It will do her some good as well”

She glanced over to Victor, at his concern, giving him a small, but genuine smile. ”You could ask that question to at least half the people here and get a similar response. It's hard to sleep the night through when we know what's out there” She dodged around the question a moment, before she sighed once more. ”I’m alright, Victor. I’m might never be fully alright, I don’t think anyone could be, after everything we have seen and done, and maybe that’s okay. Its always about finding the balance between carrying on...and not. I’ve always had trouble processing emotions, you know that...perhaps better than anyone still alive. But...I know I’m better. I’ll be okay” She promised, looking away, back to Anna. If she couldn’t be alright for herself, then she could be alright for the ones counting on her.
As Chloe called, Niesha stepped back, spying the note on a cabinet, she retrieved it, reading the note, she thought back to where she’d left the extract-or rather, who she had given it too. Titania had borrowed it, a couple of days ago. She didn’t think there was any almond left. . ”I’ll go get some honey, and quickly run an errand for Miss Sally, and be back” She said, heading out the infirmary, wanting to get the honey at least prepared for the girl when she woke, she went upstairs to Titania’s office. She knocked on the door, not expecting Titania to be in there, but it was nevertheless polite to knock, just in case, before she pushed the door open, thinking if the extract wasn’t in here, then she’d have to hunt Titiana up, bother her for a few minutes.

She quickly found the bottle of extract, her hand brushing the open book, knocking off a loose piece of paper. She retrieved it, giving it a quick glance, she recognised Astrid’s handwriting-after working in the infirmary for months, it was impossible not to come across the dead warriors handwriting. Curious, wondering Why Titiana had was looked like blood work that was months old, she glanced about, feeling like she was snooping as she read it. The date June 13th, last year, so eight months ago. Which seemed important when Niesha realised the results were a positive pregnancy test.

There was no name, but it was obvious it wasn’t Titiana’s. It could be any one of the girls that had recently given birth, but why would Titiana have kept it then? It seemed...important when you considered that. Setting the paper back on the book, Niesha bit her lip. So, had it been one of the women that had died, in the last...8 months or so? Niesha stood a moment. Perhaps it had been a miscarriage...in which case it could have been Titiana’s. Sighing, Niesha knew she’d carry that mystery with her until she could figure it out. It was obviously important to Titiana. Or...maybe to one of her patients. Shaking her head, Niesha headed out, seeking Ms Sally, she headed to her apartment, rather than the kitchen, as it seemed like a day when everything would be different.

”Miss Sally? I have the vanillia” She said as she knocked on the door, ”And was wondering if I could get some Honey, for a throat soothing medicine?”y

Meintja obligingly went with Nurse Joy and Chansey, giving Rasa a smile. While she had been injuried, Meintja wasn't at all worried. She had had worse, yet it was nice to have Rasa worry. She settled herself, quite calmly aaccepting the ministrations. She gave her thanks to both Nurse joy and Chansey, knowing it would be easier to be treated in a pokeball, but she couldn't bring herself to go into her ball. She hesitated, before she said softly to Nurse Joy, "Would you have a look at Rasa's hand? She was injured as well" She said, concerned for Rasa, and not wanting the wound she had received from Kaiser to become infected or something.

When she was let go, Meintja gratefully left, thanking them again and returning to Rasa, giving her a smile, shaking her tail, and staying back when Joy talked to Rasa. the flame on her tail was large, and bright, quite content with everything at the moment, she moved over to some chairs, settling herself to wait. Hungry, Meintha waited for Rasa to be free, curling her hands around her knees, sighing softly to herself, she glanced out the window.

Niesha had risen early, so that when Kristina came into wake her. Over the...was it really four years? Four long, demanding, hard and tiring years, since the outbreak, Niesha had gotten use to sleep a handful of hours at a time. She no longer slept a night through, despite the relative safety of Newman, she hadn't let herself slip into sleeping long hours at night, haunted by Sophia's death, she couldn't quite shake the feeling that maybe they weren't safe here. So many had died...both inside the walls and out, that despite nothing having happened for the last several months, she couldn't at times help but wonder if maybe it was safer out there. Unable to find her comb, Niesha spent several moments running her fingers through her hair, wanting to make it appear nice, before braiding it. Over the months, she hadn't cut it, instead letting it grow long, so that now it was almost resting on the middle of her back, instead of its usual shoulder length style. The change wasn't something she could ever remember thinking about, but rather...she just didn't want to cut it. So much was out of her control, that it was reassuring to be able to control something. She knew that she could have borrowed Kristina’s comb, but didn’t want to bother her friend.

She knew that Kristina was doing what she did to make sure that Niesha was alright, and she was grateful for that.

She went about the rest of her morning routine, heading to the medical gardens, she checked on the growing plants, making a mental note of which ones needed to be looked at, or could be harvested soon, making sure that nothing had changed, badly, since the day before. It was oddly calming doing this, and Niesha soon found herself in a fairy stable mood, as she grabbed a little bit of ginger, boiling it in some water and mixing it, she went to seek out Ciel. While she didn’t recall the articles on ginger, she knew it had properties that were good for preventing Asthma. She had quite regularly been dropping by, after speaking about it with Victor, to give Ceil the concoction. On Cold days, she sought him out early, wanting to get to him before he got outside. Today however, it seemed that she had just missed him, and she hurried on down the street, her hair whipping about behind her, as she caught up with him at Meg’s place. She shoved the cup into his hands ”Drink it” She said, waving to Meg as the other woman opened the door, before rushing off again, nearly crashing into the messenger as she headed back home to clean up a bit, and dress warmer.

As the messenger rattled off the message, Niesha changed directions, wanting to head in and make sure everything was alright, although the Doctor was so rarely wrong. Niesha had expected weather related illnesses, yet she thought everyone might just have the small fear, often not noticing it themselves, of wondering if this was going to be another outbreak to end them all. So, when Victor called her in, Niesha went, simply to ease her own fears, but also because she could do something, and that was all she wanted these days. Reaching the infirmary, she washed her hands before seeking out the child, seeing that she was already well cared for. ”Are you here, Doc?” She called softly, not wanting to wake the girl, and Knowing he wouldn’t leave a patient alone, Niesha had to figure that he was close by, as she quickly sought to see what he had done. She frowned though, colds didn’t usually turn into a sinus infection, although they were breeding grounds for them, making people more susceptible to the infection. Sure that Victor would have thought of that, and chalking it to the cold, Niesha stepped back, again not wanting to wake the child, she sought out Victor.

Knocking on the door to his living quarters, she said just loudly enough to be heard, ”It’s Niesha” She knew she should be getting ready for the day’s event, but she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if she didn’t at least make sure the kid was alright.
