Wow, there are a lot of large-er ships in this. I was thinking that there would be mostly like Frigate class and smaller.

L1Z1X Lost Crew

Universe Background:
In a distant future reality where our system is a dual sol system and the human race discovered they were not the only beings to inhabit space. They found a number of other races some more advanced and some equally, it is also worth mentioning that there were some not as advanced, and had not yet achieved space travel. As time went on the races had some scuffles, but ultimately were able to form treaties in order to share technologies and resources for the benefit of each race. After close to 300 years of this system something dark came to the stage; a distant astrological body seemed to be making its way towards the collection of systems it was both a marvel as oddity to behold as an entire planet sized body came forth from the ever sprawling black of space positioning itself on the outer rim of the twin sol system. The planet was outside of communication rages for even the furthest outpost stations, but undeterred by what would otherwise be an ominous entity many of the races tried to send ambassadors to this satellite planet to visit and show good will, but none returned. After several years of no communications a message was broadcast from the new planet “We are the L1Z1X and we are the original colonists of your system. We have come to claim what is ours.”

It didn’t take long to decipher the meaning of the message as the L1Z1X began to violently attack all the outlying planets and stations leaving no survivors. Their forces seemed small, but very effective in their attacks. The different militaries sent a formidable force to the L1Z1X home world finding to be more of a mechanical planet as most of the geological features had been replaced with technological workings. Upon engaging with the Planetary Defense Systems they found that the L1Z1X were a much greater foe than previously thought, and that they were comprised of cyborgs and robots. Jumping years ahead we find the system in all-out war with the L1Z1X, and losing. In a secret meeting of leaders of races and military it was concluded that an experimental weapon be used on the L1Z1X home world, A Worm Hole Engine, to end this war once and for all. After much deliberation it was agreed on with a lot of reluctance.

Ship Description:

Forward Spear

The Forward Spear is a light Frigate class scout ship used for advanced recon, and has unique first strike capabilities. It is equipped with the following:
Medium Triple Barrel Ion Cannons – 3 front facing, 2 rear facing.
Mass Accelerator Cannon – 1 front facing.
Light Ion Anti-aircraft Artillery – 12 on both Port and Starboard sides.
Chaser Charges – assortment of bombs/charges released through a rear tube for various purposes.

Unique Capabilities:
The Forward Spear has a system called Mass Distributed Guidance that when used with its cloaking system allows it to move virtually undetected. It using silent running pared with three large rotating weights along its haul to shift and alter its course without using main power. This is called Ghosting, and was used during war to sneak past enemy ships without notice. This system was never discovered by the other races.

History of the Ship:
Forward Spear was mainly a solo ship used to gather advanced intel and acting as a first strike where it would inflict the most damage. Before it disappeared its mission was to gather information of the WHE (Worm Hole Engine) before it reached the L1Z1X. If a weak spot was discovered it was to engage and attempt to destroy or greatly hinder the WHE, It was a one way mission. After intercepting the WHE Forward Spear began to analyze and follow it along its long trek through protected space using its unique Ghost ability. They found that it was designed to fire a special projectile that was timed to reach critical mass within range of the home world. At this point they had discovered the weak point they were to target, but waited for the next large rendezvous with a mix of fleets to hopefully inflict the maximum amount of damage. Once at the meet up, and while the ships were getting into position, Melchizedek gave the order to load and fife the Mass Accelerator for the load chamber of the WHE. The hit was a success, but this caused a singularity to open and began sucking in the ships around it including the Forward Spear.

Does anyone have some money they could lend me for an orbital lunar space-station? I am a little light on funding atm, an don't want any government help cuz they bugger everything up. I also need, for future use, around 10 to 15 shuttles capable of a 150+ ton payload... Just asking.

Biography

Butch and his family belonged to a traveling band of gypsies that would host what could be called a fair or festival. Some towns loved having the group around as it lifted folks spirits and provided a fun time for all ages, but other towns saw them as heathens and wanted nothing to do with them, some violently. When set up for a festival the McKone’s run both an attraction and shop, Butch and his father hosted a sharp shooter show and contest while his mother and two sisters made necklaces and bracelets. As a family they made enough during events to get buy, and with some towns were able to afford a little more extravagant things. Things were good, and they were happy… Until one of their long treks across a waist land changed everything.

The way things had turned towns were formed in more of clusters around certain resources making a hand full of towns populate a general region while others were a great distance away, The Gypsy group had a regular circuit they work around the groups that included two long treks across large desert waists to reach new locals. These treks usually took a few days of hard pressing across empty, and sometimes unforgiving, terrain. For many years the group had traveled a stretch of waist land that took them close to the division between the Living Land and the Helscape which is why some of the towns refused to have them, they believed passing so close made them unclean. It was sort of and earie sight some nights watching the distant sky be lit by the molten Helscape just beyond the horizon. Butch’s father told him there was nothing to fear because a group of mages watched over this part and that is why they took it, it was the safest rout between the town clusters. It wasn’t until much later that Butch learned that was only a half truth, and it was the last time he would take that path as a family.

Butch doesn’t talk much about his past much, but there are rumors his clients have that say his family is trapped in the Helscape, others that say he is just a crazy man looking for death, but none of them know where his family is or what rumors are real or not. What is known is his gypsy group is mostly gone now other than a few acquaintances of his that are more like ghosts that give him intel on various thing related to jobs and god know what else. He is now a hunter for hire weather is be man or beast he can kill it for a price.

As depicted in the Character Picture Butch uses a five shot .56 caliber rifle and two break-hinge .44 caliber revolvers, he also has a large and intricately engraved knife that measures a seven inch blade.

Spells

The long years of being a gypsy was more than just making money and travel for Butch, the reason his father ran a sharp shooting attraction was that he was a mage with skills to match. Though he didn’t have many spells to teach Butch was happy to learn them.

Tracer: Tracer is a spell that allows Butch to quickly analyze the condition in order to make a dead accurate long range shot accounting for bullet drop, wind, temperature and other variables. This Spell takes very little mana to use, but Butch needs to have fired the gun at least once before.

Eagle Spot: This spell is one of the most helpful in Butches line-up, but also take the most mana. Butch is able to summon one or more eagles that he can see through as they fly through the sky.

Trifecta: The strongest of Butch’s spells, and perhaps the most deadly. Trifecta allows him to fire three shots, one immediately after the other, so that all three hit the same point on a target getting the most penetration and damage in one instance.

Alright, now that my character is accepted and I just aced my interview for my new job I will start working on a post. It might take a while as I read the past posts to get a feel for how this universe works and how people are acting with NPCs and others.
