First of all, you have to throw out these stupid and manipulative terms like 'Pro-Life' and 'Pro-Choice.' They're bullshit for the sake of bullshit, and we should laugh at people who take those words seriously.

Next. Any sane human being needs to approach this conversation with the expectation that his or her opinion is probably wrong. If your argument includes the phrase 'But I personally (don't) think that....' you're being a cunt. Mothers who are considering sucking a baby out through a hose don't give a shit what you think about it, except for the part where you can cause them serious and permanent psychological trauma. Back the fuck off and let them make up their own mind. It's hard enough.

Next, you can't come into this to make a judgment. There's no such thing as a 'typical abortion.' Pregnancy is not a community issue, and neither is terminating pregnancy. These are personal matters, and even if you've gone through an abortion yourself, you don't know shit about the woman next to you who's grappling with the exact same issue. You have nothing to do with it. It's not about you, or what you think, or 'what we should be doing as a country' or whatever bullshitty catchphrase you're using to inject your feelings into the debate.

Next, it's safe to assume that whatever source you're using to get information about abortion statistics is fucking lying to you, because they're probably people, and that's what people do. Here and here are the only sources of data worth a damn. You'll notice that they present a complicated picture of abortion in the US. Fancy that. It's complicated.

Next, intellectual tribalism is fucking retarded, and that's the only way these conversations happen in a national scale. Anybody who uses the phrase 'Abortion rights' when describing a new law is fucking lying to you. Any time someone tells you 'This law is pro-abortion,' they are fucking lying to you. These are facts.

Yeah, kind of, I guess. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't have an opinion. I am a responsible person who will never have to weigh the costs and benefits of potentially murdering a tiny human being. That puts me in a pretty good place, emotionally. I recommend that other people get to such a place.

I've got kind of a lot going on right now actually, so I couldn't care less about whatever the politicians are finger-pointing on now. But I'll cover them in brief: they did it, we shouldn't do anything about it, remember when you all said ______ was stupid for describing this exact situation during the last campaign? the biggest fucking black widow spider I've ever seen in my life.

It built a web to my dogs' water bowl outside. I caught it in the process of killing and eating some smaller insect and flipped right the fuck out. Proceeded directly to the garage and unloaded about a pint of insecticide directly onto the thing's nest (and the spider directly, of course -- when you can shoot the spider from ten feet away with a spray can, that should give you some idea of how big the spider is).
