Two Towers and ROTK are each better than Fellowship. TT was actually pretty edge-of-the-seat-ish for 15-year-old me. I could never really get into Fellowship, but I ate the next two UP. Then I read Silmarillion, which was like...... I mean worth knowing, I guess, and some good stories in it, but christ it was drier than Leviticus.

I mean it was a link in a long chain that allowed other channels, mediums, etc. to take over the throne. Not the only link, at all, but break that link and the death of Saturday Morning is averted.

I would argue it's almost pragmatic. There is zero cause for concern from patients within the US. .0000000000001% chance of an outbreak isn't worth worrying about. We are safe, period. If you're going to expend any effort worrying about Ebola, worry about its spread in West Africa. That's where it's actually dangerous. We don't need to spend any more resources here, beyond what's already been done (and obviously, continue handling those cases and any other isolated cases that may migrate in). The way to help your fellow Americans be safe from Ebola, at this point, is to attack the disease in Africa where it lives, and waste not a single second being scared about an outbreak here.

Edit: not an EBOLA outbreak, anyway.

From a certain perspective maybe, like using some fixed point independent of galactic movements. Since 'our motion through space' is only really defined relative to other stars/galaxies, arguably we're *also* moving this direction, along with everything else.

If it was going to mutate here, it would need more than one or two hosts under heavy quarantine to do so. As it stands, even if the virus jumped airborne *right now*, nothing would happen. Really, it's..... we're fuckin' fine.

Ebola is absolutely going to destroy America, just like Bird Flu, Swine Flu, regular flu, SARS, West Nile, and Anthrax.

Actually, Ebola is transmitted by blood-to-blood contact. Like HIV, it is a grave and not-really-that-contagious disease. Unless you were planning on stealing actual blood from an Ebola patient and injecting it into certain areas of your body, you have literally nothing to worry about. It's spreading in the 3rd world because their sanitation and health practices suck ass beyond all human reckoning. Ebola will do precisely nothing to Americans in America.
