Though you don't know which story is mine, I would like to thank those who took the time to review it!
Also I wrote my story very last minute in under an hour-ish. I've since had the time to rewrite it as I would like it to be and wonder if I can post it or should I wait? (Not for voting purposes of course)

HOLY JESUS I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY FINISHED THEM. Never thought I'd ever get the time to actually finish those reviews. Thank you all for the wonderful entries. They were pleasant to read.
I'll vote tomorrow. I know what I'm voting for as the winner, but I'll be throwing in my runner-ups as well.
Our opinions lined up a lot. I liked your points on Go West -- some good tips that I glossed right over. But it's good reviewing all around, worth reading for sure.
I've noticed it really easy for communal places to get messy since ot is easy to carry the ideology of "not my mess, I don't have to clean it" or become lax with their own mess. It's annoying.
It's called the 'tragedy of the commons,' and it's sort of a big sticking point in communal societies to date. Until someone is personally invested in the area, nobody has any motivation to take care of it (or at least, until their threshold of "friggin' disgusting" gets crossed, which varies for everybody and satisfies only the laziest people). The answer is incentive... someone (maybe @oOWonderKinOo) needs to be paid fairly to keep the place in order. Pitch the idea to your boss and you just might get a raise -- and they like that kind of initiative too, so that could also open doors later, if you're into that. Worst they can do is say no. If that happens you should just file regular complaints about the conditions (with pictures, if able, and vivid descriptions of the smell) until management is forced to recognize that it's a real problem, and that you're a cost-effective solution. Then you get more money, and it's sanitary -- everybody wins!
So as we've learned from the first gigantic batch of entries for RPGC, sometimes, critiquing can take a lot of effort. Reviews are probably the most important part of this (or almost any) contest, and I'd like to facilitate them a little bit if I can.... now unfortunately I can't make them easier to WRITE, because any effort towards accomplishing that would also take away from the value of the critique. But I thought maybe we could do something to make sure reviews are a little easier to RECEIVE -- and it's a simple method, that requires just a little bit of coordination by readers.
As it stands, by default, we like to read things from the top and work our way down. That puts all the emphasis on the order in which I post things -- whoever is lucky enough to get posted first gets like a dozen critiques, and whoever winds up at the end is left waiting for weeks. I can mix up the order a little but there's only so much I can do -- someone's going to be first, someone's going to be last, that's how text works. If we're going to help writers get more exposure, it can't come from my end -- that's not a problem I'm equipped to fix. We could simply have a few people start from the bottom -- but then the people in the middle become the new class in waiting. And granted -- that's only a big problem if we have a large batch of entries, but I'm kind of hoping that we always have a large batch of entries.
So, what I thought was, what if people who are committed to critiquing had a place to coordinate with each other? Thus, the Critique Society. This thread is meant as a tool to help people who don't have time to write thirty in-depth reviews, to organize, and make sure that their efforts are going to good use. How you approach that is totally up to you -- wanna pair up with someone and alternate even-odd numbers? Maybe you're planning on doing everybody anyway, but you need somebody extra-mean to offset your glowing praise? Perhaps there's one story that you think deserves lots of attention, but you're only comfortable talking about grammar, and you want a plot-specialist to help you offer another perspective? Maybe you just have a certain method of structuring your critiques that you'd like to share, so that it's out in the open and others can use it?
Basically, you can come here and talk about what you're doing on the review front, and team up with other readers to plan your efforts more deliberately. If you want.

Well, we were kicking around an idea to let people vote for first-place, second-place, and third-place -- which would've made tiebreakers much easier to handle. But the poll button isn't cooperating at the moment. If @Mahz can get it up this weekend there's still time to implement it, but for now the tie is essentially broken.....

To do this manually is a bit harder and a bit more confusing but, if anybody cares to throw in ONE runner-up piece per voter (as in, you pick your favorite, and then pick one more if you want to), I think we can use those as tiebreakers, in the event the voting becomes deadlocked again. We'll have to see how many total votes are handed in, but I think we might do at least first-place and second-place trophies.
Also -- if you submitted an entry, and you don't want to vote because that might hurt your chances of winning, that's totally fine -- you can cast just a tiebreaker if you like, and I won't count it unless there's a tie to break. Just specify that in your voting post so I don't mess it up.
