What is this movie about? (New thread game)

The true story on which the thriller 'The Number 23' was based. It follows mathematician Walter Pigeon along his descent into paranoia and obsession over the numeral 7, with which he has a nuanced (but 'respectful') relationship. Also Carrie Fischer gets nude twice, so if you're not into number theory, there's always that.
