Act two of the original three is done. It is about 100 pages and 23k words. I'll be merging the first two acts into one and the book will end up being about twice as long as originally projected.

Act 1 of 3 is done. It’s about 100 pages and 23k words and has a prelude, 8 chapters, and an interlude. I’m looking at 100k words as an approximate goal.

Bio

Thrawn: "I have read about the nightswan. Have you?"

Nightswan: "You refer to the fact that it sings only as night is falling?"

Thrawn: "Yes. You do not expect your stand to succeed, do you?"

Nightswan: "I know that it won't succeed."

Thrawn: "That does not necessarily mean the end. I can give orders for you to be taken unharmed."

Nightswan: "They will be ignored. Half the troops here are Batonn Defense and Restos is determined to get rid of me."

Thrawn: "Then come with me now!"

Nightswan: "A man must do what he must, Admiral Thrawn. Even if his stand is against the fall of eternal night."

@Melkor That's what I mean by worse, Geoffrey is trying to, understandably, keep Kyle from lashing out more, but he might trigger a fight or flight response in the kid due to the flashback that is currently being relived. Kyle won't be able to do much to the more experienced hero, but being backed into a corner will cause him to do everything in his power to try and get to safety. It is a potential disaster waiting to happen.

That doees make sense.
I'll wait to see if any students do any thing before Posting with Kyle again, depending on how they act thing may go from bad to worse.

He'd have to escape Geoffrey's attempts to stop him though.

now...how to solve this.

I should probably have her come out of her little stunt now and try to calm things.

She did not expect anyone to react this badly, after all...
Or some other teacher/student might step in...hrm...we'll see.

I had Geoff do a thing.
The computer burst into mating calls. Meredith knows that I hate noise... Why?

THUD

Burr had fallen to the ground, the noise causing him to lose concentration. While he regained himself and picked up his book, he noticed the student Meredith had been picking on, his arm was altering itself. That power seems to be similar to Meredith's... interesting. Burr scanned the room, quickly, attempting to see where the biology teacher had run off to this time, he could tell she'd moved... but not where to.

The boy had finished altering his arm and had shot bone, spike, projectiles at the computer. Burr found himself floating again by this time. If he destroys the computer, that wouldn't be good... I need to stop that from happening... Time seemed to slow down as Geoff assessed the situation. Hillard is picking on this poor student... he doesn't seem to be having it... she used the computer as a distraction, likely with one of her tendrils... The boy is now attemping to destroy the computer, instead of simply turning it off... computers are expensive...

Around the computer, the air condensed and the three spikes bounced off, clattering on the ground. The computer was promptly turned off, Burr condensed air and pressed the button from afar. He then further assessed the situation. The boy seems to have grown hostile... Not good.

Burr increased the pressure around the boy, in an attempt to subdue him.
I'm mostly fine.

I was practice driving with my dad earlier. I haaaaaaaate hatehatehatehatehate parking. We haven't even done anything super complicated but I still hate it.

Learned reference points yet? Those are really useful for parking, when you start out.

:D :D :D
Well, I'm flattered. I'll try to live up to that. Absolutely no promises shall be made.

I had to read that allowed because I don't have the capacity to fully appreciate the hilarity of it in silence. Good thing no one was over or that've been weird.

Hmmm… It would appear that Meredith is scheming… He could smell her schemes in motion, or he just thought that’s what she’d be doing. I should check, in the event that she’s trying to eat one of the first years… Geoff lowered himself, so he’d get through the door, exited the classroom and made his way across the hallway. The hall was bustling with students now, he didn’t see any that were heading into his room. If I don’t have any students… I could just read… or have some fun, perhaps sit in on Meredith’s class and make sure she doesn’t eat anyone… either way…

He’d switched books again, to El Alquimista, the Spanish version of The Alchemist. Entering Ms. Hillard’s class, he took note of the boy who didn’t notice the tendril trailing behind him, also… the tendrils. He could tell where Meredith was but didn’t want to ruin her fun… so long as she didn’t hurt the boy. Though, he was relatively certain that she wouldn’t endanger his life. He manipulated the air, until he hit a soft, fleshy, patch in the classroom - he’d found out where Hillard was.

Burr decided that if anyone went to his room, they'd either come this way to see where he was, or he'd jsut check in every few minutes. The page turned in his book. Burr noticed someone… no, two students enter the room behind him. He quickly drifted to the back of the room and decided to watch what happened. Another page turned in the book.

I was.

That's over now though...will probably get up a post for Alexis/Meredith soon.

I look forward to it.
I take it that people are working today? Perhaps celebrating(if you live in the US)?
