The whole “ambiguous entity with some sort of nondescript hold over your life that you can’t really see or talk to directly but isn’t truly ever physically present at all and whose relationship with you can only be described effectively in metaphors” thing sounds to me like it has potentially religious undertones, man. But that’s fine.
