1 1/2 Years. I suppose that may be true, shall i change it to slight pain tolerance?
@Imaginary

The demon is already hiding her wounds from her opponents (which is an interesting power I've never seen before, and would be pretty troll-y in a fight) why not have it hide the pain from her as well? Might as well utilize it.
It's worth pointing out that a high pain tolerance doesn't reduce the damage done to a person. If a child is punched in the stomach the lack of protective muscle and flesh around their abdomen would probably result in severely broken ribs possibly resulting in fatal organ damage.

If they're damaged in a fashion that is non-physically impeding such as cuts to fleshy regions and the like it may allow them to continue with no effect, but otherwise a high pain tolerance is only useful with at least some decent defense.

Though I don't think a spellcaster with a weak physical body is an inherently bad idea, as my character Solomon is similar (though incredibly old, rather than young.)

Having a demon possess a child is fairly cliche, but it does negate the main limitations of an ordinary child's lack of intelligence and realistic combat experience.

Also Impaqt, try not to be a dick, it's particularly nonconstructive in an advice thread.
Hello there, I'm interested in a simple realistic battle in a 'Roman Colosseum' setting between two humans with human capabilities, I'd be willing to stretch the realms of realism beyond the time period of Ancient Rome by a few hundred years if necessary, though I'd rather the conflict was as accurate as possible. If you'd be interested in a one on one fight to the screams of the mob let me know.

This is my character, Brennus, warrior of the Iceni.

They dont have to be willing if it is forced upon them by the opponent. Someone not willing to fight a child is probably semi-forced into the fight by their likely devilish opponent.

Yeah, but that isn't how the Arena works in general, every fight is pre-arranged and if you want an 'actual fight' then it will have to be agreed. An example of where this would fail is my character Fury in the recent multiverse, where a persistent story forced him into conflict with a number of opponents. He just flew away from a couple of them, refusing to fight because they weren't worth his time.

In tournament settings this may work, though you would have to get through the vetting process of the host themselves.
Eh, considering this is a fantasy world I don't think it's fair to suggest a child can't fight in the Arena, though the very definition of a child is someone underdeveloped both physically and mentally, so the inherent disadvantages far outweigh the questionable advantages of a smaller stature and perhaps your opponent's principles.

Still, if you want to make the character go ahead, just don't expect it to be easy to find someone willing to fight them, I would have difficulty finding a suitable character in my repertoire willing to fight a child.

Hell, I've barely managed to find anyone to fight any of my characters, cowards, cowards everywhere!
What the hell did Jarin even do to those guards? I'd have understood if he had said 'do it then' and ran away, leaving the healer to her fate, but he just force choked three people instantaneously instead making me wonder why he even bothered letting them kill her.

Why is he capable of force choking anyone instantaneously? I'm always highly questioning of characters capable of eliminating multiple opponents so easily.

I'm not overly worried as it was just an introductory post, but I'm having trouble understanding his actions, did he even pick his money back up? At least then the healer's pointless death would have saved him some coin I guess.
^word. I anticipate Klaus will pick mercilessly on Jobe like the shy kid in the back of the classroom, skirt nervously around Ghisronia, and study Lily with a regrettable lack of respect for personal boundaries when her magical abilities become known.

Jobe isn't technically shy, he's uncomfortable in the situation. He'd probably react like any big burly kid who is picked on and punch Klaus in the face.

Just so ya know
Well, there isn't really an acceptance system in place for the arena as a whole, as its up to an individual's discretion to fight someone or not. I'm sure there will almost always be someone willing to fight any character, though making something which puts off most people will increase the difficulty of finding a fight.
After a long period in limbo I think I'm going revisit these old stomping grounds. And not because anyone said I should. :K

That is, as soon as I get a new laptop. Might be nice to see some old faces.

So it begins again.

Get your fists up, we have business to settle.

Welcome back Khan.
“Bah.” Fury spat, as wood splinters blasted towards him. It wasn’t a very cost effective distraction as those things went, but it was still irritating. He raised one armoured arm in front of his face, relying on his shielding to send the debris around him harmlessly. As a soldier he was aware what Kanitah was doing, a slightly more explosive version of throwing sand in his face, but Fury was a good fifteen feet from the tree so he was confident he would at least have a moment to react.

Kanitah’s actions were still undetermined, but Fury had the smaller warrior’s energy trace locked so he could tell if he made a move even with his right arm in front of his face. Kanitah had but moments to react before he settled again in his ready stance. If he moved, Fury may just be a little more ready for his pressed attack than Kanitah realised.
