Character Creation is my favorite part of roleplaying. That's why I have characters to be done that I haven't finished or even used for RPs.

Weirdly I don't really care that much about character creation, I'm somewhat jaded by the amount of character's I've made only to have other people's inactivity render them useless. My characters tend to stand out for actions they've carried out and things they've done in RP, at least to me, as opposed to the story I give them when they're made.

Haha!!! RIGHT! I know what you mean. Heck, I've probably learned more from Researching for roleplays than I even did when I was in school. Granted, most of it is non-essential information, but you never know when someone might want to know this random stuff, right!?

Yeah, I know a weird amount about tanks after spending about half a day designing my battle mech character. That's information I really don't need.
Does Kanitah not get disorientated at all? That's a fairly acrobatic move for someone whose face just got re-arranged. I'm not saying it's impossible, but considering the fight from relatively human terms after the beating Fury just gave Kanitah he should be rocked a little bit, that's why I assumed he went in for the clinch (well, grappled Fury's leg, but same effect) because he needed time to recover, and I figured if boxers do it all the time there was no reason why Kanitah couldn't. I didn't expect him to be able to make good on his grab while Fury is trying to pull away, and then do the equivalent of a super ground-backflip.

I mean, fair enough it's your character, but that's pretty formidable. It's not like I have no options either, but it still seems a little off from a realism stand-point.

Also, don't disregard Fury's strength. Though he's outmatched significantly with your machine running, Kanitah can lift roughly 40 tonnes at the moment, where-as Fury can lift 10, however you have to consider that Fury has a significant advantage in trying to free his leg, as he can utilize the strength of both legs and the nature of his armour makes holding onto him fairly difficult.

Just saying, as it seems like you didn't even mention in your post that Kanitah was directly contending Fury's strength, it was like he was just standing there letting his leg get grabbed.
Cool, I'll have a butcher's and post when I come up with something.
Why must my favorite character ideas, take the most research!? Not that the research is boring at all or that I mind it, it's just that I wished the process would move so much faster so I could play them already!

Mmhmm, I do more research for Arena than I do for my actual History Essays.
I'll happily join again, it would help if there was more plot information though. I'm trying to work out how many times I've been in Allaria now, I think it's three times.

I like to think Forsoff's insta-kill on the Giant Chicken followed by breaking a man's neck by headbutting his ass into a tree will go down in legend.
Why bother with recruitment? Anybody with enough interest would notice a tab that said "Arena". That's what I did when I noticed so many years ago. I went by a different name then though- not like that matters or anything.

I think with all the power-wank that is the arena, everybody would rather be part of their own little faction with all the different characters they use being in that faction. Of course, there are people who have both "heel" and "face" characters. If nothing else, it should just be no factions, as it's always been. Who needs team work anyways?

I don't know what you're talking about, but as far as I'm aware there aren't tabs saying 'Arena' in the Multiverse, which is IC.

You're wrong, actually, a lot of people like to join the big pre-existing factions with their different characters, because most people don't have a universal theme in which to sandwich all their characters and rarely if ever have a set of characters with applicable morals and ideologies. Also, factions are ultimately just a story tool, to deprive ourselves of such a useful method of story telling would be foolish, it's already hard enough I find to get my characters into convincing fights with realistic motives. Factions help out immensely in story telling, even the little neutral players can run around causing trouble for the people working with factions, where-as neutrals fighting neutrals is incredibly pointless and often makes for a lacklustre fight without proper motivations.

What you seem to be suggesting is we should discard story in Arena and just fight amongst ourselves for no good reason, which is a poor interpretation about what the Arena Multiverse is. I'd recommend reading things more thoroughly in future as many of your points seem misinformed.

Don't take this the wrong way, but when you flounder in describing the Arena as a 'power wank' and essentially pew pewing on the Multiverse and story telling in the Arena, I like to nip it in the bud as soon as possible. You're giving out the wrong ideas about what the Arena is about to new people, which is story telling with a greater emphasis on conflict.
Fury slammed into Kanitah with his significant metallic bulk, driving him into the ground and doing terrible damage to his face. He would have grimaced, if it wasn’t for the fact that he was the one causing the hurt Kanitah was suffering. The Fireen straightened up, having fell into a half-crouch on his unstable perch with his right foot resting on Kanitah’s face. Unfortunately, before he could deliver a follow up stomp that could very well kill his foe, Kanitah arched his back and threw Fury off balance again. It was this that resulted in Kanitah amazingly managing to get a hold on the Fireen, his hand grappling his armoured ankle. The added bulk of Fury’s armour on top of already very beefy limbs however meant the hand was not all the way around his ankle, perhaps reducing its effectiveness.

“Just fucking give up Old Man.” Fury took the time to shout in frustration, trying to yank his right leg out of his foe’s vice-like grip and hop away from him.
Use imagination when lacking description on part of arena maker or in this case the GM. Player too. I pictured a black sky more or less,

Also 5'11 is tall, these lot must not live in America where 5'10 is the new short. Make sense though.

I suppose you have to consider context, though I personally would find your character small, Anna and the other women aren't very tall, and Anna is from Ireland. Irish people aren't that tall on average.
I did trip over while running on tarmac once, fell on my face and tore the skin off from that area around your eye, so I can sympathise somewhat.

Take your time posting if you want, this fight isn't urgent regardless. It's also longer than any fight I've ever fought as far as I can remember.
