Well he was probably only a tier below him. He had average speed, strength, but above average durability for his tier.

The Necroloth took Sigurd's best hit to the face and it barely cracked his mask, I think it's fair to say the difference in their strength was palpable.

Not even mentioning the flying hands. Fucking flying hands.

Considering you claimed to be a newbie a bit ago... *raises eyebrow*

Again, I admitted I didn't keep track of the match. So I don't know who won, I've seen surprises come in all shapes and forms.

Yeah, Khan's a liar, in terms of pure volume of fights he probably has more than anyone here.

The fact anyone thinks melon won that is insulting. :K

If you had lost to a character two to three tiers lower than your own you'd have never heard the end of it, even if it hadn't been one of my first fights when I was still a beginner.

Though I still haven't beaten you since, you tend to run away or leave in OOC before I can kill you, we'll see if I can change that in one of the two ranked fights.
I feel like melon is my emperor Palpatine father figure. "Do what must be done! Do not hesitate, show no mercy!"

I think that's fairly appropriate.
Yeah, as I've tried to explain continuously, the fights are more like turning points in your character's history. There are plenty of non combat-orientated methods to explore characters that people have chosen not to utilize, the HQ being the prime example of this.

Well I was more thinking about all the stuff leading up to that. Something to add more meat to a plot. For example in something like Future Diary where you have everyone wanting to win for different reasons despite vying for the same prize.

It's a little hard in this case since it's not a wish or something, but that's why I'm stumped.

It was all very sudden last time, it would probably be better to have a third option of some boon of knowledge from the Dreamers for people who would prefer to progress their own story. Ultimately, winning items is cool and all but with the current way we work the Arena I could just give my character items with the exact same effect whenever I wanted, where-as getting something you actually want with the added bonus of saying you obtained it for winning a tournament feels better in terms of story and just general Arena-ness.

Also wishes are better because that can be immaterial things which are good for heroes and selfless characters, like Sigurd trying to get rid of all the dragons eating everyone.
So, how do people tend to have their characters get invited? I was more planning for WOTW so I don't really have many interesting idea's for NoW style tournament. Maybe someone will give me idea's.

If I remember correctly a big celestial door appeared in front of my character and Skallagrim appeared announcing I could enter the NoW and receive mad loot.
You can adjust it however you want, the way I see it Vordak has said the strike can't be perfectly timed, so you can have it be slower than expected or faster. Personally I'd expect it to be slower than expected, as his character's split attention would slow his reaction speed and therefore the speed at which he could strike, effectively leaving your character IN much closer to him, potentially within range yourself, before the sword could hit.
Well, you only have to consider the logical weaknesses of being a huge dude who has spent his whole life farming and fixing shit, he has an abundance of practical skills but would have next to no intellectual knowledge. His size could also be his weakness, though you haven't decided to go down the 'bull in a china shop' clumsy route, he'd still be pretty heavy and lack agility.

He could also have an abundance of superstitions or other things commonly attributed to 'bumpkins' in fantasy, which would also work with the lack of schooling angle.

Cool, some of the people who first joined the Arena dissapeared so it's good to see some new faces. I'm sure Rilla will get you all on the leaderboards soon. If anyone is looking for an unranked duel to get back into the swing of things or to make some new multiverse stories happen (it's good to try and involve yourself with as many characters as possible earlier on to form some rivalries and friendships) I'm more than available.

I'll do ranked as well if you're up for it, as my other two fights aren't overly taxing and I'm sure I can handle the tourny as well.
