That's fine, I'll have a post up when I've thought about how Adrian would react to the sudden appearance of the sword, it might not be today but it will be tomorrow at the latest.
I'm not entirely sure I understand your character's thinking in that if he was more like his father he'd be more of an Orc, as his father was human, unless his deeds are more important than his race, which doesn't seem to hold true necessarily in what other information you've supplied.

Still, it's your character, they can think how they wish.
Only two characters have Katana's though no?

Katanas -and- Desert Eagles, literally that exact same combination.

I blame anime, or film.

Welcome to Rilla's mind.

Yeah, you can always tell that Rilla is pretty much one with Allaria's story at this point, he forgets to explain things to us laymen as he's busy plotting out intrigue.
He sent me a PM in regards to what vials I entered the fight with. He missed out an important comma.
@MelonHead Fantastic, someone else knows what happened in China during WW2, so I don't have to explain it. Phenomenal show.

China and Japan's interactions from the Manchurian Crisis onwards are the backdrop of the Pacific War, important stuff. I actually argued that from the moment Japan became embroiled in war with China they were almost inevitably going to end up at war with the U.S.
@MelonHead
Shin has an incredibly personal distaste for the Katana weapon, mostly because he was alive during World War 2, and has an incredibly deep seated hatred for the Japanese for what they did to the Chinese. The Katana being the figurehead weapon of Japanese culture, he refuses to use it, out of respect for his homeland. However, that does not stop him from using other Japanese-make tools such as the Kusarigama.

Makes sense, the Rape of Nanking was pretty brutal, and one of the key events was the 'Kill 100 people with a sword' competition.
Me? I mean, Raelis has a sword, but no gun and his sword's not a katana.

I was joking, I just found it funny that both Descartes and DJ are armed with Katanas and Desert Eagles. Of all the weapons in the world, and any you can think of.
Seriously though is anyone not using a Desert Eagle and a Katana?
“Here we are then.”

Metz’ voice died in the expanse as he looked around the shadowy Arena, taking in the impressive statues that surrounded him. They were a disconcerting sight, he certainly hadn’t expected to be fighting in such strange surroundings. He supposed he was expecting a more traditional arena, with screaming crowds and blood and gore. The quiet darkness all around him was somehow far worse. It was also a little cold.

He ran his hand through his reddish-brown hair and waited, with little else to occupy his time until the strange humanoid wolf he had to engage arrived. He took the time to mentally check through his equipment, adorning his six foot frame was a simple green woollen jumper and tough brown trousers, with black boots. However, underneath his woollen jumper he wore a form-fitting underlay suit famed for being able to resist gunshot at range, and visibly on top he was equipped with a patched together knife-proof vest. Fairly well armoured, considering his talents, he was also armed to deal some damage of his own. Across his chest a curved knife lay in its sheath, and at his right hip his Fire-Type pistol was holstered.

He allowed the backpack to fall off his shoulders to the ground, freeing up his body for more elaborate movements as he warmed up with a few shoulder rolls. He kicked it to one side of the outside platform he was stood upon, turning his head to release the pressure. On top of his more obvious weapons he had a few extra rounds for his pistol, of course, and more importantly he had four vials on his belt. Two of them were filled with Pure Mana, one was empty, and the last was swirling with the darkness of Corrupt Mana. Those were the Mage’s real weapons, soon his foe would learn the meaning of his nickname, The Pillar Elementalist.
