As Metz fired he immediately dropped into a half-crouch, cutting his profile down in half and subsequently increasing the likelihood any retaliatory fire would miss him. He personally wasn’t confident he could dodge bullets, but his Wolf-like enemy had seemingly done just that with a quick dash rightward as he pulled the trigger, essentially meaning he had cleared his whole body from the bullet’s path before it covered the paltry distance. That was worrying indeed for the Mage, though he wasn’t aware just how late his enemy had left it to avoid the shot and still succeeded, it was still an extraordinary display of speed. Realising he was outmatched physically, he quickly cocked the hammer back on his pistol and tried to retain his concentration, as his opponent drew and opened fire.

As Metz was in that instance dropping low into his crouch the shot that was meant for his centre of mass could have struck his head, but he got lucky as his movement had set him off its immediate path, though to shoot that accurately that quickly while moving while dual wielding, it seemed his foe also outmatched him as a shooter. Metz was starting to feel a little overwhelmed. The shot cut a minor graze on his neck as it passed perilously close by him followed by its inaccurate fellow, they disappeared into the abyss behind him. The shot wasn’t enough to break his concentration, but it was close, and it certainly slowed his return fire as he fell into a full crouch on the floor.

He fired a second shot at the Wolf, aiming for his centre but unlikely to hit anything but a flank if he was continuing to show off his extraordinary speed.
Yeah but I'm just as busy as you at the moment, I'm in the same amount of fights and I'm also working slightly longer hours until the weekend at which point I'm moving into a new house and getting back into Uni.
@MelonHead A bit of a minor discrepancy, but in your intro post you stated three vials then proceeded to list four. Three with the mana stuff, one empty.

Yeah, I must have written three rather than four by accident. Would you like me to edit the three to a four? As I then went on to specifically list them it's not a factor of me changing the amount later on.
I found Rebirth significantly easier than the original, mostly because of one factor, Guppy. It's way too easy to get full Guppy if you're careful and maximise your devil room chances.

Also, somewhat lame but also a real game changer is if you haven't completed any challenges yet, just complete the challenge for Jera (which is fairly easy) it will be the only rune that drops for you ingame, and it's OP as hell, especially if you duplicate the chest chests.
With no one in sight and the streets eerily empty Anna slowly floated on her platform of water to the surface. Unbeknownst to her Tordor had already began jetting up to his up high platform, and Bita had just crashed into a building down the street and had disappeared from view. The road was littered with parked cars but there weren’t any people about, leaving Anna pretty much alone as she walked across the street and sat on the kurb, the water from the nearby sewer pouring outwards as if it were overflowing. The road was quickly growing saturated, noticeably so in fact, as Anna sat with her hands in her lap and a frown of intense thought on her face. She probably would have sat there for most of the day, filling the road with a knee deep cover of water, but she was rudely interrupted by Bita’s destruction beam cutting through the air above her after destroying a nearby car.

Luckily for Anna, she was not at Bita’s shoulder-height while sitting on the kurb, and so escaped being harmed. She was however very annoyed with the situation, having realised she narrowly avoided an unwanted haircut. She still couldn’t see Bita, so she couldn’t know for sure she had been the one to attack her, but she had seen a similar attack launched on Tordor earlier.

“That woman.” Anna spat indignantly “I’m going to give her a piece of my mind!”
Personally, I just enjoy the ride. If I were in the tournament, I really wouldn't care about sheets too much, if they made it past the GM accepting them stage.

ALso, I dislike most who do Pokemon for competition. Back in the day, Earthquake was enough. Now, they have to have the right IVs, be backed up by the right 'Mon, to use the right ability to get exactly 10 damage, to set up five moves from then with a 2 HP point killer.

Kind of sounds like Pokemon was a trifle unbalanced back in the day, which is sort of what greater detailed sheets hopes to prevent.
One day fights shall evolve to 'Looking at the CS and deciding the winner', similar to one of the gym leaders in Pokemon. The time will be spent analyzing the sheets, for any mistakes, three page explanations on why they lead with the left foot and not the right foot, and why they breathe from the mouth and not the nose.

xD

Probably, it's like the difference between people who play Pokemon for fun and competitive play, the difference in what people get from the game is so huge depending on if the competition becomes more important than enjoying the ride.

I'm getting a bit burned out already, I'll probably quit after this tournament.
If Metz found it disconcerting to see a humanoid Wolf appear from thin-air across from him on the far platform he showed no sign of it. He simply settled into a firmer stance, slightly crouched, his hand settling over the firearm in its holster. The anticipation before battle joined was always exhilarating for the Mage, though he’d never admit it. His hands were rock steady, his eyes alert for any sudden movements, for he was unsure what his enemy was capable of. There was one Mage he had fought he utilized strange spells that imbued his body, making him faster and stronger than any Torm had a right to be. It was possible the Wolf was similarly strong or fast, dangerous to underestimate.

Usually Metz would give himself some time to test out an opponent before resorting to Magic, however this time he had a bad feeling that to waste time could be the death of him, so his left hand immediately went to the belt at his waist and pulled out a thin vial filled with swirling pure blue Mana. He lifted it to his lips while watching his enemy, who seemed to be covered in some form of Ice even as he watched. The implications of that nonchalant act were not lost on Metz, so his opponent was likely some form of spell caster after all, and without Metz’ own weakness in regards to energy consumption as he could waste precious Mana on theatrics. Metz finished the bottle, feeling his body grow more fluid and allowing euphoria to overwhelm him for but a moment. It was good to be strong again, even for a moment.

“Yes, we shall. Don’t hold back.” Metz grinned at his foe, as his eyes twinkled with enjoyment and a touch of power, he suddenly seemed filled with a greater force of presence. Certainly he looked physically fitter, as if in the mere moments since he had drank he had undergone a year of training with plentiful food. His hand shot to the hilt of his weapon and drew in one smooth motion, the speed of his actions surpassing what any ordinary Human, or Torm in this case, should have been capable of as he had it levelled at his foe, regardless of his current location.

However with his free left hand he caught at the threads of Mana required to begin his spellcasting, feeling for the right thoughts and beginning to chant under his breath, the Pillar of Earth, ready for activation, but where? He had to have chosen the spot from the moment he began casting, so his opponent moving would have scuppered an immediate assault, if that was what he had planned. Even as he readied his spell, the Fire-Type in his hand bucked as it fired a single 9mm shot, straight and true, at the Wolf’s centre of mass, if his enemy moved it would definitely make the shot harder, more likely to hit the far side of his body as Metz’ attention was elsewhere, but it was a price he paid willingly.

Your character could kill me with one hit from his fire spell.

Yeah, if he was standing around like an idiot, seems unlikely considering he has wings though.

Of course, your character would also have had to ignore Metz downing a bottle of Mana, and then ignored the red circle that appeared beneath his feet after a second of Metz fervently chanting and casting his spell.

A second is a long time in Arena terms.

You're telling me. I'm looking at the other CSes and it makes Raelis feel underpowered lol.

Imagine how I feel, I put all these stipulations on my powers and people are rocking out a cool superhuman build on top of having none-restrictive powers. At least you can still fly around and slice things.
