Okay ... I have renewed the Recruitment thread and tagged it Casual (High) to Advanced. I also referred people to look at Vrani's characters for an idea what we are looking for. One really should be a practicing wiccan .... although ... that can be worked around. But she would still need to be the coven's founder.

Yes, this is a fandom, albeit with original characters set at Model High School in Rome, GA. A small coven of three witches starting their senior year set their sites on the new girl (my character) with designs of inviting her into the coven.

Each one has their own reason for practicing magic. You do not need to duplicate the original film. Besides, the idea is for this RP to be open ended, not turn into a self destructive fight. One of the keys to the coven gathering real power will be trust. My character is going to be very slow to trust except on a very shallow level. She has multiple secrets. Each of your characters could do the same.

This is intended as a small group. Any additional members will need the unanimous approval of the coven members. So submit any characters to all 4. Please understand that they may wish to keep the group small to avoid disruption.

Removed the 18+. Not sure why it was tagged that way as these are high schoolers. But there are some mature themes in the backgrounds as some characters come from lives of abuse and victims of criminals. Also, the plots could turn dark if people start summoning bad stuff.

Posting is Advanced to High Casual. In short, I am looking for a little depth in roleplay - folks who add something to the story - not merely react to others.

One of the open slots is for the coven founder and should be a practicing Wiccan (character, not necessarily the member). This slot also really needs a good writer.

Ahh .. wasn't aware of the job business. Now that I understand. It is just that I tend to start forgetting who is who when posts start stretching past every few days. I love your characters and posts. I'd honestly rather keep this group together. So, if everyone else can be patient, that works. It's just that you also run the lead character of the coven so that puts a small kink in things.

The locals know very little about Diane except that she is loaded - has to be. And she is from the Deep South (Her 1946 pickup had Georgia plates.) She used to live near Rome, GA with her foster family. From time to time they may visit. Her new home is a mansion built like a European castle that took 2 years to build.

Diane brief description

Unknown to most of the world Diane has multiple pen names. She is a writer of fantasy novels, more than one of which has already been made into movies. She is well on her way to becoming the next JK Rowling. But she is also a bit of a recluse. She has to force herself to get out and mingle with people. But she needs the seclusion of her estate to write. (She won’t admit who she is until after the resume and second interview. The first interview is a video conference.)

She does have a number of hobbies. Jogging, swimming, rock climbing and rappelling, wind tunneling (enjoying freefall through the use of a vertical wind tunnel - without the risk of going splat. She used to spend time at a local indoor shooting range as well as a private dojo being trained by her former bodyguard (a lady). She loves music (guitar and keyboard) and is an accomplished player (and singer). She dabbles in lapidary, gardening (greenhouse). She has a Private pilot license, but it will be a long time before she has a commercial license - if ever. She is quite the naturalist.

She used to do a lot of blogging, but has sold off most of her sites. She still runs a Writer’s blog where she sponsors and advises young writers.

As of of the summer of 2022 she is 19, 20 in Fall.

The Ranch Hand

Wanted: Ranch Hand
30,000+ acre Montana private alpine ranch used almost exclusively for hunting and fishing. Location is near snow line. Non commercial livestock, horses and poultry. Duties include: Maintenance of enclosures, barns. Familiarity with horses required. Must also be skilled with ATV and snowmobile. Must be experienced with high country conditions. Salary will include room and board plus benefits. Send written and video resume.

She is looking for a younger hand rather than an aging man. (Best age range is 20-25.) It isn’t as though she has a thousand head of cattle. But she is looking for someone who isn’t scrawny and can handle themselves. She won’t even give an interview to someone who looks dangerous or any ex-con. (She WILL check references.) Prior Prior experience is a must. Handsome is a real plus - like chiseled from granite. Not not some meathead pro wrestler. A Montana cowboy sort.

She is a health nut. So if you have any bad habits, time to quit now.

Ranch Next Door

In this option rather than a ranch hand, the male character (same age range) has very recently inherited a neighboring ranch of some 12,800 acres from his grandfather who passed away about 6 months ago. (His parents also passed some years back and he had no siblings.

So he was the sole heir. Estimated land value would be about $25M. It usually takes a good 6 months for an inheritance to settle probate courts.) The lady offered to buy the ranch when she heard about it, but the heir chose not to sell. His ranch is much like hers, used mainly for hunting and fishing, as well as privacy. It already had a house on it, a place he used to spend summers as a kid.

Rumors about the young lady will abound. It is August, 2022. But once winter gets here, will be be prepared? It is said she moved from Georgia. She is still living in the camper. If she is still in it come snow season, the camper could become her coffin as she won't even be able to open the door to get out.

FYI, working, so these are while taking very short breaks.

A good glamour / obfuscate trick trick Ash should be able to do is:
Walking by and not being noticed or recognized. Or maybe being mistaken for someone who looks similar. She could do the scary stalking trick where she seems have popped up out of nowhere when she was standing there the whole time. The VULGAR magic difference is that she could pull them off with her friends watching.

There are also plenty of animal tricks possible ... like summoning a roach to crawl next to one of the mean girls.
