@mnkee Please do. I'm pretty freaking swamped. Life has decided to hit me from all directions this semester testing me in ways I would have never considered possible. So... stress levels are high on this end. But know that it's not just you. I haven't been able to make a post for literally anything. I haven't pulled out my laptop in like... months.
Feora woke up early the following morning, before the sun had yet to rise above the horizon. Rising early was a habitual practice for her that came from growing up in Wulfswinth, where everything bustled with life shortly after sunrise. It took her a few moments to register where she was and why. And when it all came rushing back to her, she felt a constricting sensation that she had grown all too familiar with. There was a time when she used to wake up excited for the day, but lately, all she felt was dread. She grew weary of pretending to be someone she wasn’t and trying to live up to others’ expectations. With the added stress of her arranged marriage, it was almost too much to bear. Almost. Her fiery spirit wouldn’t allow herself to be completely broken down. Feora took a deep calming breath before getting out of bed to prepare for the day.
After taking a shower, she towel dried and brushed out her long dark brown hair before putting it in a simple braid. When she went to pick out something to wear, she noticed that a dress and a pair of heels were already set aside. Her handmaiden must have picked it out after moving her stuff into the room. “I am not wearing another dress,” she stated with an annoyed huff. She bypassed the dress and went for a simple green top and dark blue jeans paired with black paddock boots and a brown belt. She didn’t bother to put any makeup on. She wasn’t great at applying it anyways. With that all done, she made to leave her bedchambers. When she opened the door, to her utter annoyance, she was greeted by her two guards Maxwell and Fitzroy. “I should have figured that being in another kingdom would not stop your routine of getting up early,” she grumbled. She hated having them follow her around, more so after she realized that they were likely telling her father about everything she said or did. She barely held back a glare. She shut the door behind her and then pushed past her guards. She didn’t get far before she saw her two handmaidens, one from Wulfswinth and the other from Prince Casimir, come around the corner. “Princess, did you not see the dress I picked out for you?” Elizabeth, the handmaiden from Wulfswinth, asked when she spotted Feora.
“Yes, I did, and I chose not to wear it. Now, I do not require either of your assistances until the ball tonight,” Feora retorted sharply. She then continued on past them, ignoring their slightly shocked faces. She schooled her facial expression to something more neutral as she headed for the dining room. She was tempted to turn around and head back to her room when she spotted several people (Mai, Elizaveta, Nikolai, and Raven) already in the dining room. She forced a smile onto her face as she entered the room with her guards trailing behind her.
@HaleyTheRandom I think was waiting for @HylianRose post, but I think she is still pretty busy with school. I will probably go ahead to sit down to tonight and come up with a post regardless. Right now though, I have to go to school. XD

Leather armor Ring armor Scale armor Brigandine Coat of plates Splinted armor Lamellar armor Mail armor Plate armor
Anatomy of armor
Gambeson, also known as aketon or arming doublet, is a quilted jacket that can be worn underneath armor as a means of protecting against pinching by the armor and to act as a cushion that absorbs some of the impact otherwise transferred to the body. In some cases, poorer troops would wear a thick gambeson as their only armor.
Hauberk refers to a chain mail shirt. They are also known as haubergeons and byrnies, depending on the length of the shirt and the time or place in which the armor was worn. The hood, which can also be quilted instead, is known as the coif.
I personally enjoy all things medieval, and I know it is a popular subject for others as well. With that in mind, this topic will consist of informative posts on various medieval related subjects. Hopefully others will find my posts interesting and potentially useful.
What is it?
The term medieval refers to the Middle Ages, a period of European history that took place from the fall of the Roman empire around the 5th century A.D. to the Renaissance that ended roughly around 15th century A.D.
The term lore can be defined as something that is learned; knowledge gained through study or experience; traditional knowledge or belief

Considering her vocation as a trick rider, ease of mobility mostly trumps the need for fashion. She generally dons her circus attire at all times of the day, sometimes even when she isn't physically at the circus. Needless to say, her personal style is more out of the box and does not conform to what's seen as socially acceptable to the ton. Skirts are optional as far as she is concerned. Instead she generally wears stockings and a short pair of bloomers coupled with tall riding boots. She wears a loose shirt that is often tied at the bottom. Over that she likes to wear a gypsy coin vest. As far as jewelry goes, she likes to wear coin necklaces and earrings. Additionally, she likes to wear accessories like flowers or ribbons in her hair, which is usually kept up and out of her face. Overall, her style often has a gypsy like quality to it. With that said, she likes the colors red and black, but she will also wear bold yellows and oranges for an eye-catching pop of color. See example.
Sexuality: Bisexual (Aware and doesn't care) Relationship Status: Single
Personality:
Alexandra is a woman who ultimately dances to the beat of her own drum. She's known as a wildcard to many, and there's certainly truth to that. As far as she is concerned, the status quo is meant to be broken. She lives life to the full, as she views every moment as being precious. She's spontaneous and fun-loving, and she has this unbridled confidence about her. At the end of the day, she honestly doesn't care what others think or say about her. Others opinions of her don't change who she is at heart, and she will always remain true to herself.
Along with her free-spirited nature, she is notoriously sarcastic. That's not to say that she uses it with the intent to be malicious. No, it's just how she communicates. Sarcasm is like a second language to her. It helps bring levity to tense or awkward situations. It can make people laugh, bringing in well needed comedy relief. While sometimes it's simply her way of calling people out on their crap. Truthfully, she is a people person. She loves interacting with others and enjoys meeting new people. If she teases you, it more or less means she likes you. Take it as a compliment. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment with Alexandra.
Sarcasm may be her go to response, but that's not all there is to her. When the situation calls for seriousness, she can actually speak quite frankly. There is a bright mind and a kind heart below her light-hearted demeanor. She enjoys learning and experiencing new things. Despite what her sarcastic nature might suggest, she is a fairly open minded individual. She respects that others have their own views of things, and she is willing to hear them out before deciding for herself. However, once she is deadest on something, it is hard to sway her. In the off chance you manage to piss her off, be prepared for a whole new level of crazy.

Vyzov - The ability to call in a flock of birds for defense
Smert' - A soul casting from one person to a Yagababa to sever her from her mortar
Brivaldi - Russian Trick Horse Riding, able to perform various called actions while on horse back without being hindered.
Mamushka - A Russian stylized knife throwing dance fighting technique. This dance is agile and deadly, utilizing Russian dance techniques and short blade fighting: we are talking break dance fighting to a whole new level. (Both aerial and hand knife and martial art techniques) - While some within the family know the dance as a dance, it being used as an actual combat technique is a closely guarded Circus secret. Can be used with a paired Tatushka, refer to Tatushka for details. Cannot take this skill with Tatushka, it is one or the other.
Fal'shbort - This skill is a passive skill that does not call for a Called Action or a roll. (Just remind the GM if you get injured and you have this skill that you have this bonus.) - It gives a bonus to taking blunt force trauma and endurance of extreme conditions. (A bonus to a characters constitution if you will.) - You are tougher, stronger, more Russian!
Krasnoye - This is our game equivalent of a healing spell. It heals physical issues only. Such as broken bones, stab wounds, and so forth. Does not heal illnesses such as Consumption or Plague. As a new skill it can heal a skinned knee, and grows stronger to heal up to severe stab wounds or broken bones over time. A long term master of the skill can heal the worst falls from a trapeze to the point the person is back up in the Big Top the next day performing as if it never happened. (Healing is a called action and rolled for by LLA to determine amount of healing)
Tizirovat' - This is a skill that gives the PC the power of suggestion, deep seeding the idea into a persons mind to get them to see your point of view. It is not skill that makes a person do what you say right out but it compels them to follow through with the suggestion. (These are not the droids you are looking for) - There is always a chance they will resist it but it is very difficult. (If resisted the target turns hostile.)
What Is On Your Person:
Clothing - Circus attire, including black stockings, short black and white striped bloomers, loose orange shirt, red coin vest, tall riding boots, leather belt, coin choker, and hair accessories
Knife in right boot
Kindjal - Russian short sword
Sheath attached to belt on left hip
Small pouch attached to belt - Contains a few coins
Balaur, a bay Russian Don horse. Her Brivaldi horse.
History
Family History:
What is there to say? They lived. They died. The Andonov family did not amount to much outside their mercantile trade. For many generations they have lived in Odessa, Ukraine, within the great Russian Empire. It's location on the shores of the Black Sea make the city a prime location for trade. With that in mind, where else would they go? The strapping young lad that was Dorofei Andonov at the time met on one fateful day the lovely yet headstrong Inna. She was a wandering Ruska Roma gypsy, considered to be the lowest of the low of society, and yet he quickly found himself smitten with her. Neither of their families approved of the relationship, and outside of business relations, their families distanced themselves from them. Regardless, Dorofei and Inna got married and settled down in Odessa, of course, to create a family of their own.
On March 27, 1798, Alexandra Dorofeivna Andonova was born. Unfortunately, complications arose that prevented Inna from bearing anymore children. They were happy nonetheless. As trade was prospering at the time, Dorofei was able to provide a decent living for his wife and daughter. The tradeoff was that his work often kept him away from home, leaving Inna and a private tutor to raise and educate Alexandra. However, one day life as they knew it would all change. While on a family outing, when Alexandra was only eleven years old, they were attacked by a couple of Yagababa. The creatures' intended target was the little Alexandra, but her parents fought valiantly to protect her. They bought their daughter enough time to escape to the nearby Russian Imperial Circus, which they had often frequented. She would be safe there, and the circus folk sent out trained individuals to deal with the situation. However, it was too late. Her parents were gone. In a mere few hours she had become an orphan.
Your personal life:
Alexandra was born on March 27, 1798 in Odessa, Ukraine within the Russian Empire. She was the only child of Dorofei and Inna, the former a merchant and the latter a Ruska Roma gypsy. Her father's profession kept him busy and often meant he was away from home. That left her mother to raise her mostly by herself. Her mother was an extravagant and headstrong woman, leaving little to wonder as to where Alexandra gained her free-spirited and boisterous nature. Her mother was also intelligent, and she ultimately raised Alexandra to be the freethinking woman that she is today.
Her family held education to a high standard. With that in mind, Dorofei used what income he had to hire a private tutor so Alexandra could get a proper education. They went through a few different tutors before finding one that could at least tolerate the strong, outlandish personalities of both mother and daughter. While she gained academic knowledge from her tutor, Inna taught Alexandra important life lessons and values, as well as exposed her to the culture of the Ruska Roma gypsy. Music, dancing, performing, horseback riding, and perhaps a little sleight of hand were all a part of her mother's teachings.
Outside of school, Alexandra was an active child. Adults and children in the neighborhood knew her well, to their annoyance. She honestly did not have many friends growing up, as most parents steered their children away from her, stating she was a bad influence. It didn't really faze her though. She would just find someone else to meet or somewhere else to explore. When her father Dorofei was home, they went on family outings together, including frequent visits to the Russian Imperial Circus. She didn't have the greatest relationship with her father. He wasn't nearly as captivating as her mother was, but he was family nonetheless. Her mother and father were really the only family she had, as she rarely saw her extended family, and when she did, it was always brief. Her young mind did not fully comprehend the reasons that drove people away from her, and yet it did little to dampen her love of life.
One day, at the age of eleven, her life would take a tragic turn. While on a family outing, they were attacked by a couple of Yagababa. The creatures' intended target was the little Alexandra, but her parents fought valiantly to protect her. They bought her enough time to escape to the nearby safety of the Russian Imperial Circus. The circus folk sent out trained individuals to deal with the situation. However, it was too late. Her parents were gone. In a mere few hours she had become an orphan. To make matters worse, none of her remaining biological family members were willing to take her, stating she was too wild. Fortunately for her, Alexei Domashev and Anastasiya Domasheva, a couple of gypsy trick riders within the circus, were willing to take her in and raise her as their own. They were unable to bear any children of their own, so they were more than happy to treat Alexandra as their own daughter.
Alexandra has lived in the Russian Imperial Circus ever since. There she has thrived. Over the years, she learned to become a trick rider, as well as being trained in the art of fighting Soulless by some of the best, most skilled warriors around.
What you want for your life:
What does Alexandra want in life? She wants to live every moment to the full, and she hopes to make a positive impact on people's lives in the process. She wants to bring laughter and joy into people's lives. Ultimately, she wants to show people that they don't have to let their past and the status quo define who they are. The idea of meeting someone she could spent the rest of her life with and then adopting and raising an orphaned child together also appeals to her.

History
How did your character die?:
"I cannot believe I vent out like that. I mean at least it vas not your run-of-the-mill type of death. No one can ever accuse me of being dull, or worse yet average, in either life or nov in death. After all, hov many people can say they vere having a causal conversation and then BAM beheading by a runaway guillotine blade. It vas totally sick! I don't knov vhether to be horrified or to simply praise fate for a job vell done. I just cannot vrap my head around what happened. Heheh, head.
I knov I must sound like a total psycho making jokes about something as messed up as my death vas. But the truth is I just don't knov hov else to process it. If I can't joke about it, then it vill destroy me. I vas young--and foolish, I might add. Yet I had so much more to offer the vorld, surely? Vell, there is no use in harping on it. If I knov anything about the past, it is that it doesn't have to define you. Learn from your mistakes, and better yourself for the future because you don't alvays get second chances."
What Brought You Here:
"Vhy am I here? They took pity on me? They ran out of sarcastic fools in this place? I don't entirely knov vhy. I vas an orphan girl who sought out the safety of the Russian Imperial Circus. I could barely go tvo seconds vithout dishing out sarcasm or making some kind of ill-advised joke. A second chance at life certainly isn't going to change that. Yet a part of me vould like to think that I am here because of my birth parents. That somevhere beyond the grave they are still looking out for me.
Maybe I am here because of them and for them. I've seen and experienced things that no kid should ever have to. I've been through hell, and I survived. Perhaps I am here to help guide someone else out of their ovn hell. Perhaps I am here to make a difference, something death had robbed me of. There is more to me than a bucket full of sarcasm in your face, and it is about time I shov it."
Does your character want peace:
"Do I vant peace? Pfft, peace is overrated. This is a second chance at life, and I intend to make the most of it. Sure, I vant adventure, but above all, I vant to make a difference. I vant to be someone my parents vould be proud of. And one day, vhen I am a better person and vhen the world is a better place, I vant to see them again. But until then, let's get this shov on the road!"

Relations
Alexandra Andonova
"I don't have an attitude. I have a personality you can't handle."
🎆 The Dice 🎆 "There's more to her than meets the eye." After Belladonna, Evelina would be next closest person akin to a mother figure to be found in this place. Alexandra knows that there is more to the woman than she lets on. After all, she's seen it for herself. She admires and respects the woman for her strength, tenacity, and wisdom. As such, she wants to learn from her just as much as she wants to be her friend. She just hopes she hasn't ruined her chances at making her proud. ♨️/🙇 The Cards ♨️/🙇 "She scares me. Like. A lot." To say Alexandra's relationship with Nancy is complicated is an understatement. It's volatile at best. The Emendator broke her, and she's still trying to put the pieces of herself back together again. She holds resentment towards the woman for doing this to her, and it took some time to see the lesson in all the madness and more so to accept it and to try to learn from it. That's not to say that she is grateful for it. She still feels like there could have been a better way. In the end, she's just trying to move on. Seeing as the life of a Paradox is essentially a team effort, she will remain loyal to the Emendator, but mind you, she'll probably never trust her. 🎆/🙇 The Hat 🎆/🙇 "I liked him, but now I'm just afraid to interact with him." Alexandra doesn't really know what to think of her relationship with Gilbert anymore. It's changed so much, at least from her perspective. She has the triple threat of her big mouth, a Soul Fracture, and The Cards to thank for that. When she first arrived in Ville au Camp, she had been goo goo eyed for him. She recognizes now that that had been a messed up soul talking. Any seeming infatuation after that had been more or less her just teasing him in an attempt to get a rise out of him, which failed mind you. During her time training with him, she grew to respect him. However, that hardly matters anymore. She's too scared to interact with him outside of business and risk saying the wrong thing and subsequently inciting the wrath of The Cards. 🎆/💛 The Watch 🎆/💛 "He was a friend when I needed a friend the most." She will be forever grateful to Gio for helping her dig herself out of that dark hole she had been thrust into. He was comforting and yet at the same time pushed her outside of her comfort zone in order to help her grow. She attributes her currently more stable mental state in large part to him. She still has a lot of healing left to do, but she is certainly better than she would have been if she had to have gone at it alone. She just prays that she doesn't get any backlash from Nancy for being friends with her bestie.
Paradoxes
Symbol Alicia Gonzalez Symbol "Overall Thoughts On The Character" Relation Details 🌓 Sophia Harris 🌓 "She seems nice enough." Alexandra hasn't really interacted much with the Paradox, and she doesn't know what all the woman's heard in the rumor mill about her. So, you could say she's cautiously optimistic? Yeah, let's just go with that. 🙇 James Grady 🙇 "Can we have a do over?" The last Alexandra checked she had unintentionally insulted the man by making light of his newfound wereboar status. Then again, he did offer her food at later on, but she kind of thinks he was just trying to be nice. And after her latest scandal, she is doubtful that he will come around any time soon. ♨️ Faith Masters ♨️ "She clearly doesn't like me. So, I guess I'll just be over here then." Alexandra prior to the damage down to her psyche would have just said "You don't like me? Well, tough." However, in her current state of mind, she's not quite brave enough to take the risk. So, instead she figures it would be best if she just tries to steer clear of the woman. She's already got an Emendator ready to stab her in the back, or worse, if she makes one wrong move, so she really doesn't need to make an enemy out of a Paradox as well. 🌓 Andromeda Aldrich 🌓 "I don't really know her, so I don't have much of an opinion on her." Alexandra hasn't really interacted with this one, so she doesn't have much to say on their relationship, or lack thereof. With gossip and rumors abounding about her, she is doubtful that she will ever find out if she and the other Paradox could be friends. I mean, who wants to involve themselves with a walking, talking scandal after all? 👋/🙇 Bartholomew Rosecliff 👋/🙇 "I like him, but does he still like me?" Of all the other Paradoxes Alexandra had been fortunate enough to interact with, Bart was the one she clicked with the most. Unfortunately, she is not the same woman she once was and neither is her reputation. She hopes they can still become friends. If not? Well, she guesses she'll just have to learn to live with it.
My Life Before
💞 Anastasiya Domasheva 💞 "I vas broken, and she made me vhole again." After the tragic demise of her parents to the Yagababa, Alexandra was left shattered. It was the sole time in her life that she ever lacked her usual vibrancy. The last thing she expected was to find someone who was more than willing to help her pick up the pieces of herself and to recreate herself. Anastasiya was all that and more. The woman was a mother to Alexa when Alexa needed a mother the most. For that, Alexandra will be forever grateful and forever indebted to her adoptive mother. Now she only wished that she did not have to leave her new mother so soon. 💞 Alexei Domashev 💞 "I vas proud to call him father, and he was proud to call me daughter." After the tragic demise of Alexandra's parents to the Yagababa, Alexei and his wife Anastasiya took the young girl in. He played a more active role in Alexandra's life than her own birth father had. Seeing as he was unable to sire children of his own, he was so thrilled to now have a daughter, regardless of whether or not she was related by blood. He tried to rein in his emotions so as not to scare her, but nevertheless Alexandra could feel his immense love for her. Alexandra will be forever grateful and forever indebted to her adoptive father. Now she only wished that she did not have to leave her new father so soon. 🙇 Vladimir Alexandrov 🙇 "He vas so vibrant! He made me vant to sing and dance!" Alexandra admired him, and she felt that he was kindred spirit. However, he never did seem to reciprocate her feelings. Her at times rocky relationship with his adoptive daughter, the Grand Duchess Elizaveta Romanova, seemed to more often than not translate over to his relationship with Alexandra. Considering the terms they left on moments prior to her unseemly death, she doubted his opinion of her would be much changed. It's a shame really. They could have had quite a bit of fun together, but not everyone could handle her level of sarcasm. 🙇 Elizaveta Romanova 🙇 "I liked her. She vas pretty." Elizaveta's regal status did little to deter Alexandra from conversing with her, which therein was where the problem lied. They would get along decently until Alexandra opened her big mouth and out spewed her unfiltered sarcasm. The Grand Duchess did not seem to find her sarcasm quite as endearing as she would have liked, but so went most of Alexandra's relationships. People tended to love her, hate her, or barely tolerate her. 💛 Constantin Kolev 💛 "I could banter back and forth vith this man all day." Alexandra and Constantin had an interesting relationship to say the least. They were both stubborn and had a penchant for bantering, which the combination of the two wasn't always a good mix. She honestly loved to rile him up. With that said, what may have started as a friendly argument could end in a full-blown fight. However, give them some space, and they would be back to normal and at it again in no time.
I was waiting for @HylianRose to post something, though she seems rather busy with school right now. In the meantime, I have been creating outfits for Feora on Polyvore. I am officially addicted to Polyvore. :3
@HaleyTheRandom I am good, just waiting for whenever HylianRose has a chance to post. Though I have been debating whether or not to change my last post up a bit. You think it is a little too soon for Feora to be publicly showing some of her fieriness?
Feora hadn’t intended to make the situation more awkward than it already was. However, Henry’s flustered reaction said she had done just that. Truthfully, the situation left her feeling a mixture of both embarrassment and amusement. She was glad though when he changed the subject.
A vegetarian, huh? Well, that means more meat for me, she thought to herself. “I don’t think I would be any better at making it,” she replied to his comment. She wasn’t particularly proficient in cooking as it was never a skill that her mentors forced upon her to learn. As far as they were concerned, they saw cooking as more of a servant’s job. However, she wouldn’t be opposed to learning. She enjoyed learning new things.
She let out a sigh at his next statement. “I don’t blame you. It is a tedious business building relations; however, I must admit that it is important. These people after all will be the next generation of rulers. It is imperative that we make a good impression on them, for the sake of our kingdoms and keeping the peace,” she explained as her gaze took in the room full of people before eventually returning to Henry. Lucky you, I have been dragged to many of these things, she thought at his statement that he had never been to a ball before. “A ball is a more formal event with a lot dancing and socializing. The men dress in suits and the women wear more elaborate dresses, and an abundance of food is usually provided,” she elaborated for him. “It is really up to you as to whether or not you leave. I won’t stop you.”
Just then, Feora’s guard Maxwell approached them. “Excuse me for interrupting, your highnesses,” he stated. He gave a slight bow to Henry and Feora before addressing Feora, “I wanted to let you know that your horse and stable hand have arrived safely and are getting settled in as we speak.”
“That’s great news,” she replied to Maxwell as a genuine smile lit up her features. “I wasn’t sure how well Frederick would do on the long journey here. Thank you for letting me know.”
Maxwell bowed once again and was about to walk off when she stopped him with her next statement, “Did my tactical suggestion prove worthwhile?” Her smile changed into a sly smirk when he begrudgingly nodded his head.
“Good, then remember that next time you question my intelligence,” she retorted. Her tone of voice held a slight harshness and almost warning like nature to it. She then abruptly turned back to Henry. She worked to return her facial expression to something more neutral, but despite her best efforts, there was still a fieriness present in her gaze. She couldn’t deny the high she got from speaking her mind.
