Reading the label on his pill bottle, Jacob sighed as he poured a pair of the pills into his hand, fixing the cap on the bottle. Between bites of his meal, he tosses the pills into his mouth, swallowing the whole mess and taking a drink.
Alone in the cafeteria. Not a surprise. There are a few familiar faces, but....why would they sit with him? Maybe come uniform day, the younger cadets will come and sit with him, trying to get something or learn about the program. Picking up his bag, Jacob grabbed a book and cracked it open. A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Keeping his mind occupied was of utmost important. And what better way to do this than to read a book written by possibly the smartest man alive?
Trick question, because there really wasn't any better way. Flipping through the pages slowly as he looked over the information for possibly the fifth time, Jacob nodded as he started to understand more of what he was reading.
For a split second, everything lost its color. Forcefully blinking and lightly shaking his head, Jacob took a deep breath as color returned to his vision. Refocusing his attention on the book, Jacob's body was noticeably more tense.
So far, this day went about as well as it had been expected to. Fucking terribly.

Appearance: Standing at 5'7", Barst isn't particularly tall. He weighs a muscular 160 pounds, his body toned through years of training. His dark brown hair is constantly shaved to only a few millimeters, and his hazel eyes are bright and rarely without life. Fitting with his masculine appearance, his shoulders are broad and his jaw is wide and square. His muscles are not large, but they are well-defined.
Equipment:
He carries with him an iron bow, a few vulneraries, and a quiver of arrows.
Personality:
Bio: Born to a pair of Caldegian knights, Barst was trained in his parents' proficient fields from a young age: Archery and Pegasus riding. His parents were pleased with his proficiency in both fields, and his fighting style shows his training. Although he is far from unique in the Caldegian military, his position as a Pegasus archer makes him uniquely valuable. He joined the military at 16, distinguishing himself as a skilled marksman on the ground and in the air, though he always maintained a standard cavalryman's position. At 20 he was promoted to a squad leader position, training to eventually become the commander of his platoon. When Vinsenia's invasion began, Barst's unit found itself defending a strategic hold in the heart of the nation. Routed easily by their enemy, the members of the platoon who survived were captured.
Finding themselves as prisoners of war was unpleasant. The Vinsenian troops weren't especially brutal to them, but life as a POW is never fun. Barst quickly rallied his unit to escape, and soon enough, the remnants of the platoon managed to escape the camp during the chaos of the war. With the fall of the nation, Barst took the liberty of disbanding his unit in the absence of organized Caldegian leadership. He escaped to Belinni, joining a group of mercenaries to do what he could to help the survivors of the nation.

Likes pie, women, joking, his Pegasus, having a cold beer now and again
Dislikes other archers (part of being a Pegasus rider, really), heavy liquors,
Strengths/Weakness: Highly skilled as an archer and as a rider, Barst is almost more at peace in the air than he is on the ground. As an archer and a Pegasus rider, he is valuable as a "glass cannon" unit. He can fly above mountains or other areas where ground units cannot attack him and rain arrows upon them mercilessly. Of course, as a Pegasus rider, other archers and magicians have his ranged abilities at a disadvantage, where his less-than-amazing constitution and his Pegasus are easy targets. And, as an archer, he has no way of fighting units that close within a few feet of him.
Other: If anybody wishes to make a member of Barst's unit who was captured and also escaped, feel free. But don't feel pressured or anything, it's just a suggestion if you'd like an easy bio to work with.

Alriiight, I'm liking this so far. I have a vague description of my character. He'd be something like Oscar from PoR and RD. Former knight, now a merc.
Also, what should we call the nations? How many would there be? A history? I'd be willing to pitch in some ideas as to this.

Yeah, I made a few options for the Pegasus since it was requested. Twas an interesting time. If needed, I can make 0 and 3 tier spots as well.
That'd be interesting to work out, but that also might be a bit much in the way of work required.
So, I'd like to bring this idea up again. I made the mention in the Interest Check, but since we now have a new person running the show, I feel it's only fair to ask again. A while back I got into one RP and had a Pegasus Archer. Since then, the idea has really grown on me. Would a custom class like that be okay?
I'm tempted to make the obligatory noble-esque character with this idea in mind. Basically the guy who wants to live the "good life" behind to go out and help people.
