Well that was easy. Emlyn seemed to at least be willing to give the team a chance, even with how well their first real interaction went. It didn't even bother him that Emlyn wanted this to remain a secret. He just shrugged. "Sure. Those guys just wanted to rile you up anyway, no use in giving them more ammo, right?" Making his way back into the room, Auriel looked at the two who'd stayed inside. "So, what are we playing?"

When Emlyn jumped down and tried to stare daggers at him before his anger burned out, Auriel simply stood there, staring back into the other boy's eyes. He was a bit surprised that nothing happened, but relieved. Auriel wasn't sure what to do after Jack and Savan started laughing. They clearly weren't very serious about the entire situation as it was. They already seemed like a pair of good friends just having fun doing whatever they felt like. Meanwhile, he and Emlyn didn't have much going for them. The team was already fighting, and nobody wanted to sit down and talk things out. The real problem was Emlyn's attitude. Yes, Jack and Savan were acting rudely now, but Emlyn had snapped over a little nickname. Now, the guy was red as a tomato from the laughter, and looked defeated, before turning and making his way out of the room.

Looking between the door and his other teammates, Auriel sighed. "I'm going after him. Have fun playing cards." Holding his demeanor together, Auriel quickly went out the door after Emlyn, calling after the other boy. "Emlyn, wait. You need to lighten up. They were just trying to enjoy themselves. It was a nickname. Do you think I was honored or super thrilled when you started calling me Aury? No, frankly I thought it was silly, but I didn't freak out over it like someone had just insulted my mother and my sister. I don't want this team to crash and burn, but if that's gonna happen you're gonna have to put up with your fair share of stupid shit. I didn't ask to be leader of this team. I just wanted to come here to learn how to fight monsters. But Beacon decided to make me team leader, so we all have to put up with it. Emlyn, just try to deal with these guys, alright?"

Auriel is displeased with the team's shenanigans. This will likely not be the last time he puts his foot down, and hard.

Auriel's face dropped as Emlyn almost immediately cut him off, yelling at Savan and Jack. This was off to a great start already it seemed. When his partner stormed off angrily, Auriel took a moment to regain his composure and respond, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. "Never mind, then. I guess we're getting to the infighting on day one. Alright..." Sighing, he shook his head and went to the center of the room. "Alright, here's the deal: this isn't gonna happen. I was all for being a happy, friendly team like you'd see in a comic book or a TV show or something. If you guys don't want that, fine." First he pointed to Emlyn.

"You need to calm down. You're not special. You're not better than us just because you think your name is important. Guess what? I've never heard of you. And I'm damn sure Jack and Savan haven't either. The only sickness this team has is your better-than-thou attitude! Do you think I didn't notice you insulting me or my outfit out there in Forever Fall? Well, I'm sorry I can't be as regal and polished as you, your excellency! I was more focused on the battle for our lives to notice that you're a pretentious little child." Next, he pointed to Jack. "No nicknames for now. The priss doesn't like them it seems, but he was just fine calling me Aury. Huh, a hypocrite too? That's another point against you, Emlyn."

Sighing, he turned to Savan and let his shoulders drop. "That was a little too far. I actually agree with his dream, if not his attitude about it. Honestly, I don't really CARE if we end up big and important and famous though, I'm just here to do my best and kill some monsters."

Groaning, he went back to his bed and sat down. "I'd re-do my introduction, but I don't think you've earned it. I didn't think this whole thing was gonna be easy, but damn, I didn't think it was gonna start crisis management on day one."

Auriel was pretty satisfied with the introductions Emlyn, Jack and Savan gave. Jack seemed like a decent enough guy, even if he was calling Emlyn Emmy. All in good fun, he thought. Emlyn, of course, was little different than he was in Forever Fall: confident to the point of cockiness with high hopes for himself. Savan was apparently an orphan and not too keen on dwelling on the subject for long. Auriel couldn't blame him, there were a few orphans back home and it was never fun breaking the news. After giving that bit of his history, Savan joined in on teasing Emlyn on his high hopes of being a hero and a legend. It was a lofty goal, he had to admit, but Auriel was in agreement on it.

Once they'd all finished, Auriel decided to introduce himself fully. "Well, as for me: I'm Auriel Connoly. I'm from outside the Kingdoms. I've been here a few times, but...honestly, living here is kind of weird. I'm used to having a guard posted, I'm used to hunts, I'm used to moving around. Oh well. It's been getting more and more dangerous out there recently, so my family made their way back, and I got set up here at Beacon. To answer your questions: Yes, I have at least a loose plan of what we should do as a team, NO, I am NOT going to test whether we're all guys or not, and...well...I'm not sure what to do now. We could talk, work on strategy, maybe try and make friends with other teams? I'm up for suggestions. I don't want to be a tyrant or anything."
