Yo, once armory class rolls around, Oswald's getting his first upgrade. His second one will be fucking beastly, but the first one is gonna be nice, too. And simple. Very simple.
Giving the males of team SASG a nod as they asked him how he took his meat, Oswald felt his lips curl into a half-smile. "I take it medium-rare. Only way to take it out in the field. Any less is dangerous, any more takes too damn long. Thanks. And I gotta ask....how the hell did you get your hands on this much meat? It's day one of classes, after all." The scent of the steaks cooking was almost too much. He'd lived mostly on preserved food for the weeks before arriving at Beacon, and the opportunity to eat anything not packaged to last as long as possible was greatly welcomed, even if he'd already had a meal before this. It couldn't hurt to pack on the calories, especially after his sparring with Sapphire. Speaking of that girl, he couldn't help but notice she was still arguing with that green-haired dude from the table they'd been sitting at before. Oswald just shrugged and rolled his eyes. Let her get worked up over a few words between classmates, nothing he was concerned with. Marcus's arrival at the table was more pressing. And it seemed Diamond was even helping him carry his food over. Maybe this team wasn't so doomed after all. Diamond's reaction to being asked to get salt was...to be expected. Man, that kid had to be a little slow or something, to pull a stunt like that. Wasn't it obvious that she was another student? "Hey boss, glad to see you're back. Ya did good, even if it wasn't too pretty. Wish I could say the same for the rest of our team. Diamond had a hell of an opponent with that....weird ability. What kind of semblance was that anyway? Looked like it knocked the girl's attack right back at her. And Aurellius? Well...to be fair, against a guy that quick, I wonder how well I'd have done too. Sapphire's a quick little thing, but at least you can see her. Usually. Until she pulls that disappearing trick." Inclining his head towards the girl in question, Oswald shrugged. "She's good, too. Would've done well back home."
Mostly every day.
So, team MODA, any missions you'd like to take on? I personally think the convoy escort would be perfect.
Jesus Christ the IC got busy.
Oswald merely watched on with disinterest as everybody around him went on with their business. Some people were arguing about the necessity of learning to fight other people. When Oswald recognized Sapphire's voice, he found himself agreeing with what she said: even questioning why it was necessary was...ridiculous. Idiotic, even. Maybe even as bad as a guy who didn't know what an acute angle was. Frowning, he grunted in displeasure as Aurellius tore his wound open. "God dammit Aurellius, one day and you can't go with making an ass of yourself? Some of those people were trying to eat." Despite his exasperation, he couldn't help but laugh at the others' reactions to the blood and gore. "Though I will admit, that's a hell of a party trick." After Aurellius's display, Diamond also questioned the need for Hunters and Huntresses doing what should have been the job of the police. Again, Sapphire made a retort, but this time things started to get too heated for Oswald's personal tastes. He didn't agree with Diamond, but if she was his team mate, he'd have to stick up for her. "Sapphire, lay off. We all got history, even if it's ugly. I'm sure we've all got blemishes on our souls the rest of the world wouldn't look too kindly on. And I don't understand why salary is even a question here. So long as it's livable, who the fuck cares?" When Shiro landed on the table, scattering the remaining food, Oswald smirked and gave himself a mental pat on the back for finishing quickly. Despite the....absolutely fucking terrible way the offer was presented, Oswald got up and chuckled. "Great, free grub. If it gets me away from the hotheads, I'd gladly eat raw meat." Walking towards Gren and Abel, he hadn't even bothered to look if anybody else was going along with it. Free food was free food.
Okay, good to know. Oswald will officially rule the Survival class-stay tuned for more information!
Lug, what classes are available today? There appears to be a conflict between the google doc and the OP.
Oswald just shook his head at Aurellius and Diamond's antics. He'd have to learn to get used to those two soon enough. At least he wasn't the only one who wasn't very well-versed in the academic side of things. He found himself nodding along with Sapphire when she described fighting as an art form. "I agree, fighting is an art. That's why they're called martial arts. Everybody has their own style that can suit them perfectly if they train and hone their skills while they can. But that said, not everybody is fit for art." Having said his piece, Oswald simply continued eating his meal, listening to the conversation about Semblances, trying to remember everything he could. Jack, Aurellius's opponent, had a kind of extreme speed as his Semblance, where Diamond's opponent Mokuren was able to reflect Diamond's attack back at her. It was when Sapphire asked him about his own Semblance that Oswald stopped. It took him a moment to decide whether he should tell her, but ultimately he decided against it. There was no point in hiding it and getting his ass beat, only to reveal it later. "Sorry Sapphire, but if you want to see my Semblance, fight me again when I can use both arms, and when that rib of yours is healed." He said it with a smile, and meant it. Their second fight would be what really counted, when both were in good physical condition. This first fight had been good to judge their abilities, but with debilitating injuries to both, there was no way to tell which fighter really was 'better'.
A brief insight into Oswald's mind and lifestyle. Note: he's not dumb, he just hasn't actually done something like 'school' since he was about 12 years old.
