Oswald Connolly- Fallout

Groaning at the suddenly booming group of people, Oswald delivered a lopsided smile to Gren's announcement. While he enjoyed the trip to Sapphire's uncle's bar, he was neither up for a rerun, or for any other recreational activities that night. Turning to Shirou and Gren, Oswald shook his head. "I'll have to skip out on this one. Got my share of song and booze last night." Turning to Sapphire, he couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Looks like you're in over your head with this one."

Diamond's response to the situation with Cobalt was...to be expected. He was a bit surprised at the venom with which she spoke, but they'd hardly met on good terms. He understood the girl's reluctance to blindly follow another person after their mission. "She might be able to use a little restraint and tact as well....but she isn't wrong. One errant shell got a few dozen people killed. The members who are no longer here killed all but one of them, I believe. Diamond kept her hands clean of it all, as she was on reconnaissance when the first shot went out."

Sighing at the realization that he wasn't going to escape that line of thought any time soon, he leaned back in his chair. "That's why. I don't know exactly what living on the streets was like for her, but the prickly pears tend to have reasons for their thorns. It just takes a careful hand to avoid getting stabbed."
Auriel's Semblance was absurdly OP. I also decided that using "Literally Gilgamesh" was, at the very least, poor form. I mean, golden armor, Ea...he was Girugamesh!
Oswald Connolly- Silly

The few new arrivals all received little more than a nod and a glance as Oswald studied his team mates, wondering who'd speak first. He'd committed to this thing, and was wondering what the next direction the team was taking would be. After a few moments, Cobalt took the lead, apologizing for the bad impression he'd left and hoping for good luck in general and all that fun. This guy was...too enthusiastic. Emerald was one thing, she was just full of energy, but Cobalt was like a twitchy dog who took anything less than elation as a sign of disdain.

"Like I told you before, don't worry about it. Stress has been high, you showed up at a weird time, shit happens. As for restraint and tact...well, frankly, I think most of us could use those quite a bit. I could definitely stand to be more cautious, but then again, caution isn't very fun. Getting painted with Grimm guts is." Gesturing to everybody around him, Oswald shrugged. "Oswald Connolly. I'm here to kill shit, mostly."
Oswald Connolly- Ah yes, 'Talking'

Gren's arrival to the table was a bit of a surprise, but it wasn't particularly odd, all in all. The two teams had a rather substantial amount of communication with one another over the past week: between fighting, time spent on revelry, and during classes and lunch, CODE and SASG were rather intertwined.

"Ah, hey Gren. Good to see you." Nodding as the boar faunus sat down, Oswald got ready to empty Cobalt's wallet. A physique like his or Gren's was...not something easily achieved. All in all, he ended up with everything but salad. And a second fish filet. He nearly matched Emmy's enthusiasm while eating his meal, but lacked the bubbly atmosphere. He looked more like a man meeting a long-lost lover.

Emmy's mentioning the necessity to talk about their team situation dampened that enthusiasm, but he nodded. "Agreed. I personally don't mind if Gren's here for it, or anybody else from SASG, for that matter."
Oswald Connolly-To Food!

Oswald spent the duration of history class desperately trying to retain the information Dr Oobleck was inundating the class with. Thankfully he'd seen fit to deliver a lesson which didn't require a decade of prior education to understand. Of course, there were certain things that the stout hunter hadn't learned, but Oobleck was much more patient with Oswald than most would have been.

As the class finally let out, Oswald made his way to the cafeteria before noticing a message on his Scroll from Cobalt. What a guy. He's really serious about this leader thing, isn't he? Well....his loss. Shrugging to nobody in particular, Oswald sent a quick reply to his team leader before making his way to the deli.

ETA 1.5 mikes

True to his word, Oswald had arrived in about a minute and a half. Joining his leader at the table, Oswald gave a nod of greeting.
Love dat shit, yo.

CHUUNIBYOU SEASON THREE WHEN?!!??!?!?
Oswald Connolly- Srs Bsns

Cobalt's sudden foray into serious talk caught Oswald by surprise, but his first reaction was to simply shrug. This guy really was hung up about the whole business last night, wasn't he? That wasn't very good. "Shit happens, dude. I wouldn't worry about it. Diamond and I have been....under the weather....after our mission went FUBAR. Me moreso than her, but she's just a bit more openly critical of a person." Taking Cobalt's hand in his own and giving it a hard, firm shake, Oswald jerked his head. "We gotta get to class, though." Starting to make his own way to class, Oswald paused for a moment and sighed.

"Just remember to talk to us. Don't go blowing holes in anything before we're ready. That kinda stuff rarely ends well."
Oswald Connolly- To History

Oswald slowly raised from his seat as math class ended, bringing his nearly empty worksheet to the front of the class and depositing it on Professor Fullbuster's desk with his head lowered. The professors mostly knew what to expect out of him at this point, but the difference was still day and night. Most of the other students, with hard work and study, could catch up reasonably well. Oswald, on the other hand, was stuck nearly seven or eight years in the past academically. The most complex equations he'd solved in the past were PEMDAS questions, and that was pushing it.

Following after Cobalt, Oswald tried to shrug off the bitter feelings he was having, but to no avail. This was not going to be a good week, evidently. "Hey, boss. That was pretty fuckin' wild with that kid, huh? I swear, if I ever get my hands on those bastards..."
So....other peoples in history class....

wat do?
Oswald Connolly- Dismissed

When Headmaster Ozpin appeared and stormed into the infirmary, Oswald straightened out like a board. He knew the situation was FUBAR, but it took the normally aloof man's dead serious face to drive into him that they might be dealing with forces beyond their power. As Cobalt skittered off and Sapphire went to address their headmaster, Oswald frowned.

He wasn't used to letting something like this go. It certainly didn't feel right, either. Perhaps he'd ask Sapphire for more information and request that his team be involved in any movements Ozpin was willing to make in regards to this event. The bubbling rage he'd felt earlier was still there, it was just much quieter now. Still, he knew that above all else, a calm head was needed. At least until other heads needed to be busted. Oswald would wait until he was given a target, but all bets were off as soon as his leash was dropped. Of all people, certainly a leader of one of the most powerful groups of humanity knew the consequences to letting loose the hounds of war.

Grunting as he was left alone, Oswald made his way to Math class, ready to make a pointless attempt at the work they were being given. He was either going to fail out of Beacon, or just barely pass. At least he was a contender for high marks outside of the academic classes, right?

Right.
