It's okay. Does it matter if I post now, then? I've finished Jacob's introduction into the scenario, and I think it's at least a decent enough reason. He was at a bar, because why the hell not? He's of age and he gets a vet discount, after all :D

Considering this girl is a person's character...I think we're supposed to intervene? I...I may be wrong, but I don't think badend would go to the trouble of making a character sheet for a one-off who dies right at the start...

Well, I can answer one thing: The White mage/Black mage (Dark-Earth) would not work. Two reasons: secondary black mages can't use dark magic at all, and secondary black mages can only have one element.

Jacob Rockwell

Appearance

Head: Jacob's hair is light brown, cut in a high-and-tight military fashion. He keeps his face devoid of facial hair. His eyes are a gentle hazel color, a bit closer to green than to brown. His skin is light, fair, and free of serious blemishes, but his nose has a nasty habit of accruing a few tough-to-remove blackheads, despite Jacob's best efforts. For the most part, they aren't noticeable though.

Torso: Jacob typically wears an old olive drab field jacket with a tan shirt underneath it. He has about two dozen of the shirts, which is a subject he often has to bring up. He also wears his dog tags at all times. In one of the pockets, he carries a large water bottle that he constantly refills to keep himself hydrated.

Arms: Jacob's arms are generally covered by his jacket, unless its a particularly hot summer day.

Legs: Jacob typically (almost always, really) wears jeans. His left leg was amputated below the knee, and has since been replaced by a silver-colored prosthetic. As for his feet, he keeps them covered with a pair of brown hiking boots.

Personality: .Anybody who knows Jacob will ask one question when they are asked to describe him: "Which Jacob? The serious, stoic 'I'll kill you if you touch me' Jacob, or the happy-go-lucky one?" Jacob is a man of two faces. When he's given a task to complete, a goal to reach, he becomes single-mindedly driven to accomplish the mission. He tolerates little to no shenanigans like this. He will try to maintain a leadership position, taking advantage of his telepathy to read others' minds and work with them before they even realize what he's doing. In the Army, they chalked it up to good teamwork. At Prometheus...well, we know what it is.
On the other hand, when he's relaxing, he relaxes. Jacob loves to crack jokes about any topic under the sun. You might think it's a coping mechanism from war, but it's not. He was really just always like that. He's easy to be friends with like this, and he can tolerate just about any shenanigans so far as you're not going out of your way to hurt somebody who doesn't deserve it.

History: Corporal Jacob Rockwell, US Army, 75th Ranger Regiment. Honorably Discharged at the end of his contract, under extreme suggestion from his CO and fellow soldiers. Jacob enlisted out of high school. His parents...his parents didn't want him to live the life they feared he would if people knew what he was. He knew what he was, but he wasn't supposed to tell a soul. And for a very, very long time, he didn't. He lived a normal, human life. He went to school with everybody else, and he lived just like everybody else. He dated, he had friends, he failed tests, he was a regular, average Joe Schmoe. For a while, he forgot that there was such discrimination between Wanderers and humans. He truly did. Sure, he'd hear something now and again, but...well, he didn't think he'd be found out.

When he served in the military, Jacob was known among any unit he served with as a stoic, stone-cold badass who never got hurt and never got tired. That wasn't exactly true, but Jacob knew enough about biology to realize that his healing powers would be...very useful in supporting healthy muscle growth at a young age. He'd intentionally train himself to the absolute limit every day, and heal his pained, aching muscles afterwards. By the time he reached 17 and signed up with the Army via delayed entry, he was well within the upper 90th percentiles on every test that involved his body. As for active combat, he could scrape off any minor damage so long as it wasn't noticed. Scrape himself on the rough sand, or get bitten by one of the monsters of nature that you didn't notice? Not a big deal, Jacob would just heal it up before it was seen.

Jacob's revelation came during a...botched operation. The team on the ground blames the failure on faulty intel, intelligence blames the commander for failing to rely the information properly, and the commander blames the source of the intel. Regardless of the cause, Jacob's squad walked into a village expecting friendly arms awaiting them. Three soldiers didn't return that day. If not for Jacob's healing abilities, that number would have been five. After the squad leader had taken a round that would have certainly killed him, Jacob braved enemy machine gun fire, taking a few rounds to the leg and torso. Falling behind cover, he grabbed his squad leader and apologized a dozen times for lying and hiding what he was as he started to heal him. Then, he healed the major wounds he'd taken, tying off the other wounds in his leg so that he could get back into the fight without too much noise. He was hoping they would chalk their survival to dumb luck. To keep up the charade, he didn't even heal the leg wounds, which quickly became infected.

Jacob wasn't aware that his squad leader, as well as most of his platoon, and really the entire 75th Regiment, were heavily anti-Wanderer. The incident was kept quiet, but Jacob was coerced to leave the military, one way or another. He chose to accept the consequences of revealing what he was and accepted an honorable discharge and a Purple Heart. His leg was amputated as part of an agreement that would help the cover-up, and Jacob was sent off to civilian life. A friend who supported Wanderer rights pointed Jacob to Prometheus, and he was accepted to the school.

I don't see why things have to proceed linearly. We can setup storylines/scenarios for a few characters at a time and let people play them out.
