For that first one, I did respond to you, indirectly. I was considering responding you, but then I decided unsubtly referencing what you had said in my post replying to Nix. That second one, Spectre didn't feel like responding to, and the third one seems like a conversation-ender. I'm not trying to make you the problem here, though, and I see what you mean.

In case that's the problem more often than not, then do you mind at least including a mention or just the full quote from the profile I'm using? A lot of the time, I'll be busy and only skim over other posts. Unless I see my profile name, I'm liable to pass over it.

Ruby could probably build you another mountain.

Well, that's no fun. I liked the old one. BUUUUUUUUT....

Perhaps it's a matter of you expecting us to have things with which to continue a conversation, but we expect the same, and so the whoel thing grinds to a halt because we end up both doing things that kill the conversation. That's what I've seen, at least.

Even with entire new conversation starters or whole new questions, or just things that are otherwise massively easy to respond to.
A few recent examples with my unnamed character:

Hey there, Sjin. Is there something wrong?

Umm... Yeah. It seems that my mountain home has lost the one thing that it needs to make it a mountain home.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

I was just about to reply to Sjin, but then I had chores and I forgot :[

I'm not just talking about now though. It always seems like it goes through a pattern. For anyone but David, I'll have people respond to me in very, very brief "conversations", or volleys of a few back to back posts, and then nothing.
Why is it always such a struggle to be involved? Are my characters just not really that interesting?

I have.

The Art of War is a personal favorite.

War and Peace.

A classic, that. I read more historical, non-ficional works. Ever heard of Sun Tzu?

For reference, Ridge isn't in the simulation. Ruby and Soren's output is changing.

I'm aware. It's still messing with him though, albeit indirectly, and he can see through it.
