So, let's see if I got this right. Sven travels through space and meets the group, talking for some time while developing Tier Four travel. Then he meets ES while fighting pirates, ES tortures his crew, and only he and Leon are spared.


Basically. He met ES near the end of a period over which he was battling pirates, not during actual combat though. The fighting took place over a few weeks, on and off. You probably get that, but I want to make sure there is no confusion.
