How did you know there was something there?

Easy answer. We didn't, total shot in the dark. We were grasping at straws.

That's a unicorn right there. What conversation?

It started off as talking about how humans used to be apex predators back in the day, and then it turned into a non-toxic debate about whether nature survival skills are 100% necessary in the name of prepping for the worst (essentially, will the entire globe actually collapse to a point where civilization on the whole is actually dead?) Then fun what-if post apocalypse speculation, a break in the intellectual stuff. After that, an argument about human psychology and essentially how there's all kinds of different ways people would react to such a tragedy. Then psychology in the more practical sense, and how it essentially boiled down to the fact that every day we are in really close proximity to hundreds to thousands of the most intelligent and capable species on the planet, and that what is going on in the really capable mind of each and every one of those individuals is a total unknown to us and it's scary, but still amazing in a way. Bunch of other small topics too, but it was a 2 hour long conversation between me and two others that was enaging and enlightening in multiple ways.
I just had the most stimulating conversation with people in real life I've had in years. I almost forgot how refreshing it can be to be reminded that not absolutely everyone out there puts zero thought into things.

What gave you the idea to start?

We had the desire to tread new ground. Hard to do when you discover just about all there is to discover within the space you're confined to.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

I think so?
with trial and error, we made educated fixes to what didn't work based on any data we could gather instead of actually trying everything possible.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

So you just try everything until it works?

Yes, but in the least random way possible, if that makes sense.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

How did you learn so much? It all seems really advanced.

You learn what doesn't work particularly quickly. Like with a lot of things.

It may take a while though. It's not major or anything.

Ehhh, okay then. If you say so.

You don't have to; I was just curious.

It wouldn't be that much trouble, depending on how quickly I find them.
