Did you not just understand that I just said it's hard to do what I just mentioned?

If my advice does not work, fine. Don't follow it. But keep in mind that the advice that you claim is easy to say is extremely hard to say even for me. I went through shit- tons of shit, mind you- in order to get where I am, and it's not just because I don't want to study or some crap like that. I may have talked to a lot people, but who said that all of them like me?

And if you're lonely, don't stuff it down my throat as the prime reason why you can't stand for yourself. Those are things that destroy people, and ultimately makes others' lives feel negative by being pessimistic. There's a limit to humbleness, and you're crossing that line. Don't find reasons for why you can't be confident to answer me. Think and prove me wrong for taking you lightly. Then you won't have to consider on why you're inconfident in the first place.

-pokes the thread-
I'm not being rude here, but here's a phrase that sums up my thoughts:

"Man up."

What you're experiencing is probably a writer's block more than anything, but if it's not, you're just having a severe lack of confidence in yourself. There are times when you feel neglected or unsatisfied with your product’s result after some time passes on, but think back when you felt happy and satisfied with its success. If you’re willing to see what you made go all the way to its end, you should be dedicated and strive towards finishing what you started. A lot of people make the mistake of not remembering how they succeed in what they make, and only the best kinds of people will press on through troublesome thoughts.

If you hate being taken lightly, find a way to be taken seriously or a way that you would feel happy with. Receive feedback in how you craft something. If you hate how something is not feeling right, make it right instead of quitting. Quitting is like receiving a Petroleum Engineering major at Texas A&M because you don’t feel satisfaction out of it, rather than because you can’t receive it at all. Some may not be able to get a Petroleum Engineering major because they really can’t, but many who don’t are usually unsatisfied with themselves and simply quit because they feel like it.

You are feeling like quitting, but I assure you, there are people who do not want to quit and stand by your side. Note how I never mentioned Roleplaying in my previous examples: this is because this not only occurs to you in RolePlayer Guild, but it happens one hundred times more in real-life. I’ve seen people destroy great contributions to society by quitting because they no longer felt motivation and satisfaction out of what they made. They failed to find a way to satisfy and motivate themselves to press on with the products that initially made them proud: that’s what you need to prevent. I myself nearly suffered this in not only Athalia, but also in reality, and I had friends who thankfully saved my hide by reminding me of why I now stand by their side in the first place.

Stand or sit straight, and look back when you need to. Learn how to know when you should change and when you should not change, receive feedback from your friends and people you are close to when you feel doubt. Do as much as you can to let you re-experience that feeling of joy, and if it does not last as long as you think it would, try again until you do again. Look at the good and the bad of what you made, and just think about it for a while. Don’t look forward when you feel down, because there is a reason why the past matters so much.

The past dominates what happens in the present, and the present controls what happens in the future.

On another note, when da fk shud i post as zen
I said people who's abilities fall under darkness, but what I should have said is "people who's spirit lies on the dark side". That's dark, not evil.

The current list of people it would effect are:

Seriel and Samiel as Fallen Angels
Evelyn and Rebbecca
Christoph
Kurayami
Lilith
Deathedge
Duatos
Grimm
Ryuu if he's still like he was in Athalia

The current list of people it would effect to a limited extent are:
Rei
Hamlin
Constance

This is just the list of people who would be targeted by the ability. Whether they actually give in to the emotions is up to you.

Well

Ima point something out before I get accused of meta-gaming.

Deathedge only hates his reputation in a humorous way. Since he doesn't have anything else to hate, he's probably going to be fairly okay when the power puts its effects on him.

The same applies to Ryuu since he's just arrogant, rather than being hateful or angry in any sense. (Note: Manga murders his stress)

Basically, all of my characters are not going to be affected by the power because 1) they have reasons not to, 2) all of them have strong will, and 3) their positions in their lives prevents them from doing so. Not trying to sound like I'm meta-gaming, I'm just pointing that out before I can possible be accused of meta-gaming.

This also shows how I avoid making most my characters as dark as possible (Except Shezmu, who is no longer being used)
A chibi version of Zen:

I keep seeing a bunch of players visiting the RP before leaving without saying anything.

I CAN SEE ALL OF THE LURKERS

i will murder you... in bed...

Yandere Destinyfailhorror17 confirmed.

"I'm not a hero. I'm like you."

Zanereth Octavius

Nicknames: Zen, Xen, Octet, "Big Damn Hero"

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Species: Human + Catalyst

Powers

Octavius Eye: Zanereth is able to read many languages without having to learn much about them. Code languages such as morse code or nonsensical symbols, however, require him to put more effort in understanding them.

Salt Manipulation / Sand Manipulation: Zanereth is able to generate salt at his own will. He can use the salt to carry himself into the air, defend himself, and utilize water at his own will if he applies his salt into it. He is also able to manipulate sand, but he hates sand.

Bane: Zanereth's blade, Bane, can be used to tap into an unknown world simply known as "Nihilith Void" and gather raw energy from it. Bane can channel the energy it receives to Zanereth, and activates only when he wants it to. The energy allows Zanereth to utilize red thunder magic, though he ironically uses it mostly to charge his phone.

Passive Equalizer: Zanereth's most unique ability. Zanereth automatically lessens the impact of Weaknesses those around him have. For example, if one were to be weak to Light Manipulation magic, the impact of the magic will be less harmful to the target. Physical damage will also be slightly decreased when Zanereth is present (ie. A truck rams into a bird; the bird lives, albeit with some broken bones). These effects applies to all targets, including both non-organic targets and organic targets, within a moderately large radius around Zanereth. Zanereth himself does not benefit anything more than others affected by Passive Equalizer.

Weaknesses

Zanereth is a person. Passive Equalizer only decreases the amount of injuries Zanereth and people around him receive; this means that people could still get hurt to a certain extent, and should not fully rely on his power. Although he is not weak to specific powers, he lacks the ability to use his Manipulation powers to gain an upperhand in a tight situation. He can be cold due to the disturbingly calm influence of Nihilith Void's energy, despite his efforts in helping people out.

Hobbies

Solving math problems, eavesdropping, naming people, cooking

Personality

Zanereth enjoys listening into his friends' conversations without actually participating in them; he does not necessarily hate social interactions. When occupied with finishing his work, he can be very quiet, but will not hesitate in putting his work down for someone he knows of. Rather than being aloof, Zanereth is usually alert without looking too serious. His looks contrast greatly with his actual personality, though he does tend to stay relatively quiet due to the influence of Nihilith Void.

Background

At a young age, Zanereth once played hero by saving his little sister from a burning apartment, leaping out of a building and somehow surviving the jump. That day, his mother was outside of their home, and the fire department was too far away to prevent everyone from dying. He used his body as a cushion for his sister, only to find himself in a hospital.

He was alone when he woke up, but there were two differences he felt.

One, he did not feel hurt at all.

Two, there was a sword resting underneath his pillow.

Ironically, the boy who played hero did not know of the hero who gave him the blade. But nevertheless, he decided to keep the blade. He went through a hard time hiding the fact that some random person gave him a long sword, but managed to leave the hospital and shove it in his house by... jumping out of the hospital building. A week later, life returned to normal.

At his middle school days, Zanereth discovered many things simply by spending time alone. He discovered his ability to generate salt and showed it to some fellow student named Deathedge, who believed that Zanereth was playing magic tricks on him.

Life went on, and he soon received an invitational letter from Orean Cause, which asked if he wanted to learn more about both himself and his powers. With the old feeling of excitement surging through him once more, he silently transferred to Orean Cause.
