Hogwarts: Ignition - Year One

After bumping into some chavy 11 year old while out today and receiving a list of swear words and insults, I'm annoyed that I didn't make a character based on the average British kid nowadays! Would have been great to play a character who would wander the halls wearing both robes and a snap-back while threatening to stab anyone who looked at him funny! On a serious note, shall get up a post in the morning!

Electing to ignore Catman's snide remarks, he moved forwards, only to be blocked by Ravager who side-stepped into his path. Digger furrowed his brow at her comment, before turning away and scowling. "Don't worry princess, wasn't interested anyway." Who was he kidding, this girl wasn't worth his time or energy! Besides, if this broad was Mad Eye's heir, then he didn't really wish to piss the big guy off, especially with everything he had heard about him! As Belle Reve's second douchiest inmate bragged about some interesting exploits about his feline life, a rush off wind and bright light welcomed back the prison's biggest douche. Digger's brow furrowed even more at the Reverse Flash's appearance, with the Australian neglecting to keep his ignorance a secret. Nothing would make his day more than this guy spontaneously combusting. That was a thought that Captain Boomerang and the rest of the Rogues had when they faced this guy for the very first time when a fight between him and the Flash disrupted one of their old heists, resulting in the group landing a large amount of jail time. Ever since then, all Digger wanted was for the little speedster to just fuck off down to hell. Luckily with Waller in change of the trigger, that dream may come true sooner than expected! Captain Boomerang controlled himself from slamming his fist in the human lightning bolt's face as he spoke to the "squad", his manipulated voice causing him to seethe in hatred! Luckily, Deathstroke took control, moving forward to face an incoming wave of security, with him ordering Boomer himself and Ravager to "cover" him. With a smile, he shot forward, launching several boomerangs forward through the air. While few missed, flying upwards through the air, the majority hit their mark, taking down a good couple of security guards. He watched as Deathstroke interrogated the lone survivor who named the group's next located. Beaming, Captain Boomerang punched the air in a feat of triumph before tailing after the mercenary.

Natty, I was wondering if Boomer and RF could have a little bit more banter? LIke, Boomer commenting on RF's deep, distorted voice, or the two referencing past encounters in Central & Keystone, etc?

Yeah sure! I shall make sure to focus his hate on him rather than just Catman! You mind if I make up random encounters? Or should I try and base it on canon ones? If so I can do some quick researching haha!

In my mind, I've designed Robin to be related to Batman, but not Bruce Wayne. He's also trained by Natas, and they frequently work together, but he's not his homoerotic sidekick - they don't share the same roof. So, Catman's implication that he was cuffed by Batman and his family of superheroes could as well be a snide remark and still valid. I have steered away from the whole sidekick sub stories because I find them not very fit for characters like Batman and Deathstroke, even more so taking into account this RP is supposed to be grittier and more grounded.

Yeah that makes sense! I can see other Supers having sidekicks of there own (possibly The Flash, Superman, Aquaman, etc.) although that bridge could be crossed when we get to it?

I hope this doesn't seem like a complaint, but it feels weird having Deathstroke and Reverse Flash on the Suicide Squad. What I mean is that the Squad is usually made up of villains who no one really knows, I think Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang were the most well known members of the Squad and they weren't on the same level as the other villains of the flash and Batman. It's strange seeing a list villains on the Squad

Actually both have been part of the squad before, with Reverse Flash actually being on the current roster! Deathstroke was also a member of the same squad although he left the next issue after turning on everyone but hey ho! I see what you mean about the well known supervillains and I believe that was the case for sometime, although strangely Black Manta is also on this new roster so it would seem that they aren't sticking to the rule anymore!

I am aware of the change in the roster in the comics and I didn't agree with it. Suicide Squad in my opinion was a way of giving unknown villains a chance to shine. Deathstroke, Reverse Flash and Black Manta have too much popularity to not make it weird

Oh yeah I see what you mean! Maybe it could just be Waller trying to show how much power, etc she had by controlling some the world's biggest bad guys? Idk haha!

Oh, and, I asked DSW if I could work on revising the story of some of this universe's NPC characters (which will make an appearance later), and he gave me the green light. So far, I've only worked on Batman. I'm currently working on Superman and Doomsday. I showed him the Batman CS and he said it was acceptable, but I still want your opinion, since after all, you're part of this RP too.

Looks good! :) The new origin is interested as I haven't seen many that move away from the whole crime alley incident! Is Dick, Tim, Babs etc all part of his life though, as I believe Ravager was part of the Teen Titans before and I believe they were also involved in taking down Catman in his background (correct me if I'm wrong!)?

Wand: 12 1/2 inch, Dogwood, Phoenix feather Pet: While not strictly having a pet of his own, Peter makes use of the family owl Hutch regularly in order to post letters to his family at home and receive his month comic subscription. He also has a bulldog named Lincoln although obviously he remains at the family home. Strengths: Peter is fairly talented at transfiguration, with him progressing through the art swiftly. The term animagus perked his interest after reading it in one of his brother's old schoolbooks. Peter also has a knack for Charms, with him keen to learn more on food-related charms due to his mother. His father also taught him how to cook and bake. Peter can also give a good fifteen minute talk on the history of the Marvel universe if that counts for anything! Weaknesses: Subject wise, Peter isn't a fan of Herbology, or flying for that matter. While he's a huge fan of Quidditch, he just isn't very good at it! He is also very nervous when it comes to meeting new people, so struggles making friends. Personality: As stated above, Peter Dobson struggles to make friends, coming across as a nervous and awkward eleven year old boy, with him preferring to keep his nose buried within the pages of his comics rather than interacting with those around him. However he is very enthusiastic about topics that perk his interest, as well as extremely hardworking when it comes to lessons. He is basically the stereotypical Hufflepuff underneath it all; loyal, hardworking and just. History: Due to his brother's excellence at school and his parent's work, Peter was unintentionally neglected as a child. His family owned and lived in The Hopping Pot pub in Carkitt Market next to Diagon Alley, so when he found that he spent a lot of time wondering the streets and a regular of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. He enjoyed cooking in the pub's huge kitchens after being taught how by his mother and by the age of 8 Peter would regularly serve dinner to his family. When his mother decided that she wanted him and his brother Dylan to learn more about her muggle routes, the two spent the majority of their summer staying with their Uncle David in Bristol, where their days were filled with movie marathons and other typical muggle activities. Well typical for Uncle David, who spent most of his free time led across his coach. It was during his stay in Bristol that Peter got into comics after finding David's collection and despite the lack of moving images, he loved them. While back in London and Carkitt Market, comics were Peter's only tie to the muggle world. It was no surprise that Peter received his Hogwarts letter in the post just after he turned 11, as during this time, he had been experiencing bursts of magic, such as accidentally setting one of the umbrella's at the Ice Cream Parlour on fire! Peter soon set off to Hogwarts, along with his cooking recipes and comics. NPCs: While these characters won't actually appear in person, they shall be mentioned by Peter via his thoughts, speech or even his letters to or from them.
