History:

Dukhan took his first breath in the opulent city of Yazara, a shining jewel in the heart of the burning Akashar Dunes. His mother was a prostitute and his father was a petty thief. Dukhan would have turned out nothing more than another bandit had it not been for the guidance of his beloved sister, Ureshmi. Ureshmi saw in Dukhan the potential for heroism, as Dukhan possessed a kind heart and a fast mind. She told him stories of great heroes and philosophers and kings, hoping that one day, Dukhan would come to emulate them.

One day, in the grips of a horrible fever, Ureshmi wandered into the desert outside Yazara's walls and was lost to the sands. Dukhan searched for her alone in the inhospitable desert for eight long months, but Ureshmi was not to be found. Dukhan grieved for his lost sister only a short while, for he knew already in his heart the best way to carry on her legacy: Dukhan would prove that her faith in him was justified. He would become the greatest adventurer who ever lived.

Dukhan has journeyed many places over the years, honing his skill and marksmanship with his trusty musket, Javai. One year ago, while exploring a long forgotten tomb, Dukhan met the great and ancient djinni king Zatmen. Dukhan beat Zatmen in a game of wits and won the respect of the ancient being. So impressed was Zatmen that he offered Dukhan a chance like no other: Complete for him 1,001 heroic deeds and Dukhan would gain a single, all powerful wish to change the world. Dukhan accepted and was given his first task:

He must bring peace to a frozen land of endless bloodshed.

Personality:

Dukhan is very loud and friendly. Not one to let decorum or convention stop him from honoring his sister's memory, he is an endless font of determination. Always open to new experiences, he believes that a great adventurer must see and do all the things there are to be done in this world and eagerly questions anyone who is willing to share stories with him.

Dukhan is quite smart, being articulate and a fast learner. This is sometimes overshadowed, however, by his impulsiveness. Dukhan rarely thinks through his actions when the fates of good and kind people are on the line. He is also somewhat naive, owing to his sister sheltering him somewhat from the harshest aspects of human nature during his youth.

Powers: Other than a passing familiarity with the occult and a head for improvisation, Dukhan's greatest asset is his skill with black powder weaponry.

Biography: There are legends in small towns that simply don't seem like they belong. Legends that must be true, as they are simply too strange to come from imagination. The mushroom man is one of these legends. They say that the old hermit has lived in the far-flung forests for as long as there have been forests, tending to his mushrooms. That may be true. He is so old, and so terribly alone; only his mushrooms to keep him company. He probably had parents, but he doesn't remember them. They say that he has spent so much time amongst the fungus that he has become a fungus himself. This is most certainly true. Now, the Weeping Winter threatens the Mushroom Man's "children". For the first time in living memory, he seeks the assistance of the outside world.

Personality: Reclusive, Quiet, Focused

Melee Weapons: Bowie knife, poisonous tendrils

Skills/Abilities: Control over fungus-based life, regeneration, in depth knowledge of horticulture, naturally occurring poisons
