Spooked! is a slice-of-life/horror fusion RP. The concept behind it is simple: you’ll play as a student at Edison High, a boring and incredibly normal high school in Sandalwood, Oregon. Sandalwood may seem like a sleepy little town on the surface, of course, but it just so happens to be a hotspot for supernatural activity.
Maybe you see the flyers and decide that you’ll give the club a shot. Maybe you join on a dare. Maybe you’re recruited by the enthusiastic club president, Andy Anderson. No matter what the reason is, you’re joining Edison High’s newest and most most peculiar club: S.P.I.R.I.T, the Supernatural and Paranormal Information Reconnaissance Investigation Team.

Information has been plotted out, but not written down. Give me a little while, and it'll get done.
RP-Specific Information:
- This RP takes place in the year 2015, in a small town known as Sandalwood.
- The official beginning of the RP will be Friday, September 4th 2015, about one week after the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
- If you want to get REALLY nit-picky about things, the first club meeting starts at 3:30 PM and goes until 4:30 PM.

What exists? What doesn't?
- Ghosts exist. People who die under unhappy circumstances, or with unfinished business, pretty much always have a very small chance of becoming a ghost. In Sandalwood, however, the chance of becoming a ghost after death is higher, because of its status as a supernatural hotspot. The reason for this is unknown.
-> Ghosts are tied to the mortal plane by objects, usually their body, something that was important to them during their life, or something that was present when they died. The whole dead body thing is a pretty common one.
-> Ghosts can be repelled temporarily by salt. If salt is thrown on a ghost while it is corporeal, it will dissipate and have to reform again before it can do anything. Unfortunately, it usually only takes about half a minute or so for it to reform.
- Many cryptids exist. Many cryptids don't exist. You'll have to find out for yourself.
- Some supernatural creatures exist, although they aren't necessarily the same as their pop-culture counterparts. Vampires are a confirmed species... but the life of a vampire is definitely not a glamorous one. You'll see.
- Demons exist, but they don't show up on Earth much. They've got better things to do.
- Witchcraft and magic-usage exists, but is not readily available to the average human being. It takes a certain amount of potential to become a witch, and even then, the price of power is very high. If you don't want to bargain for more power with a demon and end up giving up your soul or something equally drastic, then most magic-users end up having to stick with the small stuff. And by 'small stuff', I mean things like being able to tell what the weather will be like tomorrow.
- If aliens exist, they sure as hell haven't been discovered yet.
- There's no evidence currently of angels, any kind of God, or anything particularly divine. Sorry. You'll have to stick with faith on that one.

- As far as towns go, Sandalwood's fairly pretty. It's a coastal town, with a cliff overlooking the sea and a small cove beneath the cliff. The ocean can get fairly dangerous, though.
- There's an abundance of forested areas around Sandalwood.
- A hotspot for supernatural activity. No one’s quite sure why, although Angie is determined to find out.
- More information coming soon!
Edison High:
- The local public school.
- The girls' bathroom on the second floor is always out of order, and apparently haunted.
- Classes start at 8 AM, and run until 3:20 PM. Club activities are from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, although some clubs have longer meetings, and only meet on certain days.
- Home to a variety of interesting (and occasionally unusual) clubs, including:
-> S.P.I.R.I.T., a club dedicated to investigating paranormal and supernatural activity in Sandalwood. Known around school as "that weird ghost-busting club".
-> The Lemon Fanta Society, a club dedicated to the celebration of Lemon Fanta as the one true Fanta. The only club that rivals S.P.I.R.I.T. for the title of Edison High's weirdest club. Holds annual Lemon Fanta parties.
-> The Edison Herald, Edison High's very own student newspaper. Publishes issues twice a month.
-> Edison High Theater Club, the drama club. They're currently rehearsing for their latest production, West Side Story, which is coming out on November 13th.
- Has a dress code that can be read about in the Edison High rulebook. Students disregarding dress code are in great abundance, and so teachers typically can only be bothered to make a token effort to reprimand them.
The Howling Woods:
- A particularly well-known forest among locals.
- Tends to get incredibly foggy at certain times of year.
- One of Sandalwood's most popular location for suicides.
- Sometimes, people hear strange noises coming out of the depths of the woods...
Candle Cove:
- A pleasant beach. White sands, clear blue waters, the whole shindig.
- For some strange reason, people are warned not to go onto the beach or into the waters during the night. No one knows why... or if they do, they're not talking about it.
- A whole lot of fishermen have gone missing around this area, actually.
Lover's Leap:
- A cliff just over the rockiest part of Candle Cove. Probably the second most popular location for suicides in Sandalwood, rivaled only by the Howling Woods.
- Its name apparently comes from an urban legend about a man who reacted to his wife's adultery by taking her on a romantic date to the cliffside, pushing her over the edge, and then throwing himself over to be with her.

Characters:
If you create a character, please PM it to me before posting it anywhere!!!
Name: Self-explanatory.
Age and Grade: This is a high school RP, so your character should be somewhere in the range of 9th-12th grade. Their age should match up with their grade, so that should be somewhere in the age range of 14-18.
Gender: Again, mostly self-explanatory.
Appearance: A paragraph or two is preferable. Pictures are highly recommended!
Personality: Again, a paragraph or two would be preferable. What kind of person is your character? What kind of reputation do they have around school?
Backstory: One or two paragraphs. Write the things that you don’t mind everyone in the RP knowing about your paragraph here. What’s your character’s story? Tell us about their family, etcetera. Note that if there’s something that you’d like to be relevant to the plot of the RP or would like to reveal later on, you should PM it to me separate from the sheet.
Skills and Strengths: Self-explanatory. You can use bullet points if you want, but please be detailed! Go ahead and give yourself more flaws than strengths if you want, but at the very least, keep it somewhat even.
