Bluh... struggling with coming up with a decent history, but I think I have it finished? Still working on the drawings of the character and the Sentinel, though.

Race: Vampire

Sentinel: Lucium

A strong-willed, level-headed, and calculating individual. She is the sort who looks before she leaps, and makes sure that every hit counts, rational and strategic whether in battle or dealing with people, and she knows when to turn on the charm for either. Which is to say that she does not opt to keep the charm on at all times, or even most of the time.
   While not exactly standoffish, she can be a bit cold and detached most of the time and does not easily get close to people. In fact, she is actually quite socially adept and empathetic, but it is perhaps due to that empathy and her psychic ability to read and understand people which makes it hard for her to open up and lower her guard. 
   Most of the time she comes off simply as a reasonable, understanding person who just seems a bit unreachable on a personal level.

Being a Vampire, Calla has always had the innate ability to read and understand the thoughts and emotions of other living beings. However, it is the Sentinels and their mysterious autonomous nature with which she has always been fascinated by. Are they truly alive? Do they feel emotion or sensation? Or is it all but an illusion? As one drawn to the function of magic devices and the unveiling of the truth, these questions lead her to spend her life seeking their answers, hoping to learn to understand them more. Even further, she hopes to learn enough of their secrets to be able to recreate the method in which they were made.

   Whether because of the nature of the autonomous armours' coding, or because of her own sense of justice and desire to seek out the truth, she eventually became a member of the Volstryggr police force, and was quite pleased when she, herself, was ultimately chosen by one of the Sentinels.

-Strategic: Where others may focus on stealth, defense, or offense, Calla would rather channel her analytical processes into precision, incapacitation, and backup support. She finds it to be more effective to leave those who specialize in the extremes to do their part while she makes sure that everyone is able to function at their utmost effectiveness. Although that is not to say that she cannot best a foe on her own through force of wit.

-Tech Savvy: Proficiency with using, making, and repairing magic devices. She likes to tinker with new devices in her down time, and while she cannot recreate the Sentinels, she aims to have a much greater understanding of them. Her primary use of this skill is in repairing their external functions. (As their creation is a lost art, she is not able to restore damaged Magnus cores, nor recreate their armour. She is only able to fuse it back together through magic.)

-Empathetic: Although not able to read thoughts at all times, her predisposition toward psychic abilities renders her exceptional at reading and understanding people very well, which in turn allows her to better communicate with them. This is especially useful in working with a team and in gathering information. 

-Blood Hound: Adept at using her skills to gather and apply information into deductive reasoning. And once she catches onto a trail, she will keep investigating until the case is solved.

-Light Sensitivity: More sensitive to bright illumination than most people. They strain her eyes, and if bright and hot enough can also irritate her skin. She generally prefers to cover up well when going out, but can easily be dazzled by a flash of light.

-Temperature sensitivity: Susceptible to extreme temperature changes. She is not overly fond of extreme heat, but gets cold especially easily. 

-Exclusive Palate: Blood is her only source of sustenance, and she does not eat anything else. Although there are plenty of blood donors around, in a pinch this can make it difficult to find food.

-Anemia: Quick to run low on stamina, and has such must keep extra packs of blood on her at all times to snack upon throughout the day, especially after strenuous activity. She has to stock up rather frequently to maintain the supply. 

-Power Hungry: Not as much a drive to obtain more power as it is a taste for the blood of the powerful. As such, especially powerful people tend to catch her eye and cause her thoughts to linger upon how delicious their blood must be. This can be something of a distraction for her.

-Chiroptophobia: The fear of bats. Whether it is their vicious little rodent teeth, their abrupt movements, or the tremendous clamour they tend to make, she is very uncomfortable around bats. It is enough to render meek her usually strong and confident personality.

She specializes in the magic schools of Magic Engineering and Arcano Nevo.

   "Then perhaps you wouldn't mind having one with me~" A smooth, casual voice remarked flirtatiously in response.

   The man who had spoken approached from off to the side before pausing to lean against the wall with his arm, just as casual as his tone. He was quite a tall specimen, and lean as well, but perhaps more notable was the vibrant blue of his slightly translucent skin and purple and orange fins. His own uniform was worn with somewhat less decorum than most other members of Trident who were present, the collar loose and open to make breathing through the gills which trailed all the way down his neck easier. A necessity, but one which seemed to match his demeanor, right down to the roguish glint in his luminous orange eyes. 

   Eyes which cast a glance toward the staff member whom she'd previously dismissed, then back to meet her own clear blue ones with a knowing brow raise. "You seem stressed." He noted. "Parties not your thing?"
