@Nightraider Edit: I've revised James' background and nationality and clarified the reason behind his powers.
Name: James William Hamilton Gender: Male Age: 21 Nationality: American Wild Card status: Ace Power gain: He was infected by Typhoid Croyd and was one of the very few new Aces. Aliases: The Wolfman / The Werewolf
Appearance:
James stands at about six feet two, or about 185 centimeters. He's a muscular man, and has much more hair than a normal person. His hair is raven black, but when he starts to turn into a werewolf, it becomes more and more grey. His eyes while being a human look like a wolf's eyes. His face has sharp features and his teeth and nails grow faster and harder.
Abilities:
James is able to transform himself into a wolf-like man or a werewolf at will. In his "wolfman" form James is stronger, faster and reacts more quickly than an Olympic-level multi-athlete and has keener senses. He is able of speaking with canines. He also ages slightly slower than an average person. He is hairier than an average person and his eyes also appear wolf-like.
Weaknesses:
While James is in the wolf-like form, he is more resistant to typical weapons, but silver causes severe pain and might kill him in large doses. Transformation from wolf back to human form leaves him exhausted and sometimes creates gaps in his memory. Full moon might cause him queer habits (while being a human), like howling, consuming raw meat and other wolf-like habits.
Public presence:
Secret
Personality:
Before drawing the Wild Card, James was a relaxed young man who ofttimes spent his days studying or with his friends. He was socially confident, sometimes making small jokes or pranks, and enjoyed parties. He gave a picture of a smart and politically correct youngster who was thought to be the perfect son-in-law.
After the draw, he became more cynical and brooding, slightly less outgoing and more reserved than before, but still sporting a sense of honor, justice and chivalry. He enjoys spy thrillers and horror books, especially those with werewolves and vampires. Three of his favorite books are Ivanhoe, From Russia with Love and Dracula.
History:
As a child, James lived in England where his family had a large estate in East Anglia. He was born in during the midsummer of 1966 to Martha and Thomas Hamilton, a pair from two upper middle-class families. James lived at the family estates for the first five years of his life, but then the family had to sell their Victorian house and estates, as they had to pay their debts and loans. His father Thomas was an financial expert and a long-time investor, but the financing company he managed had to file for bankruptcy after a short sale went sour. His mother Martha came from a long line of entrepreneurs and restaurant-owners.
The family moved to New York City when James was only five to start a new life. Thomas Hamilton started to make money as a stock broker. Martha started to work as an entrepeneur and founded a successful restaurant that served Mediterranean food. Gaining a few millions, the Hamiltons have afforded to give their only son a good education in an university. James enrolled to Columbia University at the age of nineteen in 1985.
James read political science and literature at the university, aiming to become a politician. In the May of 1987, James's life changed altogether. All of a sudden, the city was quarantined and the Typhoid Croyd's virus started to kill hundreds of people. James' parents died, and James himself was infected, gaining the ability to transform into a werewolf. Doctor Tachyon helped him to recover and to control his powers. Tachyon thought that the horror fiction James has read affected his powers and their manifestation. James then vowed to find Croyd with his newly-given powers and inherited wealth to avenge his parents' death while studying in the university.
Relationships:
His parents died in the Typhoid Croyd outbreak. James has a lot of friends in the University circles and some contacts with the financial circles.
Base of operations:
A spacious apartment in Manhattan, New York
Reasons to play this character?:
Well, I like superheroes, and I've always wanted to create one by myself. The Wolfman is quite similar to the Batman in certain aspects (dead parents, inherited wealth and a sense of justice just to say some similarities), but I hope the character will stand on his own.
@Gcold By the way, I laughed a little at Dumhuvud Cat-Kicker*s name as noticed it a moment ago. Did you name him Dumhuvud on purpose or how did you come up with such a name?
''In ten minutes, the Mages will come and bomb the hell out of this place. If you can beat me in less than ten minutes, you'll be able to escape in time.''
I did make my character one-armed, scarred, with one working eye and a nail in his head for a reason.
You're almost as sneaky as the Snakes themselves. ;)
Basic Information Name: Felix aep Caileach (real surname Trentius) Race: Imperial Age: 23 Gender: Male Birthsign: The Steed Place of origin: Leyawiin, Cyrodiil
Appearance:
Felix aep Caileach is about six feet two, or about 185 centimeters tall. He is a handsome young man with slightly slender features, and after few weeks of martial life he has gained some athleticism. He's not very muscled or big-figured, but he's fast and agile. He has brown short hair and green eyes. His face has a long scar running from right temple to the jaw.
Background:
Felix was born to the Trentius family, who are prominent merchants and cultivators of arts and sciences. Felix was given the best education the family could afford from a very young age. In his teens Felix became an avid student of history and a novice bard, who had a reputation of visiting young and beautiful women at night time for "extracurricular activity". Due to this he has some skill with stealth. He also trained cartwheels and other acrobatic tricks in his childhood.
In his late teens during the Skyrim's Civil War, Felix took a part in a small protest against a hated tax that was levied to support the legions. An imperial patrol tried to control the crowd, but soon the protest flared up and casualties were suffered on both sides. He took a wound from a shortsword to his face and almost died, but he was saved by a Breton healer named Caileach that also took part in the skirmish. Caileach had personal reasons not to like the Empire, but he didn't share those with Felix. The Breton helped Felix to recover and escape.
Felix fled from Leyawiin to Skyrim, assuming a new surname, aep Caileach to create a new identity. Felix escaped for the fear of imperial authorities and started to earn a living as a bard, even enrolling to the Bards' College for a term. After finishing his term, Felix traveled across Skyrim singing songs and telling tales of Dragonborn's deeds, but as the Dragonborn's tyranny continued and he became more disliked, Felix dropped those from his repertoire. In many taverns he is considered a talented lute player and a singer, but horrible at poetry and playing with dice.
One night, Felix played his lute in the Bannered Mare tavern in Whiterun. After a successful concert and an encore, many customers and locals bought him a few drinks and toasted for him several times. Soon, Felix was drunk. In the Bannered Mare was also a recruiter who looked for able young men and supplies for the Dragonborn's campaign against the Forsworn. Felix boasted to the recruiter that he could chronicle the campaign and fight at the same time, and so they struck a contract.
On the following morning Felix found himself with a hangover in a wagon bound for Markath. After arriving to Markath he bought his equipment with the money he had left. After that, they headed to the meeting point between Markath and Karthwasten. For the last two weeks, Felix has been trying to grasp the basics of soldiering and fighting with a weapon at hand.
Personality:
Born into wealth, Felix has hardly done any physical labour besides travelling in his life. He often wants to have some luxuries in his life or hopes of getting some in his immediate future, although mercenary life has humbled him as a person. Felix' experiences as a travelling bard have given him a taste for extravagance and good company.
One of the reasons why he hasn't deserted the mercenary company is because he wants to keep his word and to detail his adventures as a mercenary. Felix tries to keep his word as best as he can, but sometimes he speaks perhaps too eagerly, getting into trouble for his mouth. He acts sometimes without thinking everything through.
Felix enjoys good company, drinking and parties.
Felix wants to do the right thing and he is naive to an extend, although his world view has been expanded and evolved from the time he was in Leyawiin by his travels and experiences.
Capabilities
Skills: Expert in Speech Adept in Mercantile and Acrobatics Apprentice in Sneak, One-handed blunt weapons and Light armour Novice in Hand-to-hand, One-handed bladed weapons and Medium armour.
Weaknesses: Nervous: Many soldiers have nerves of steel in the heat of battle, but Felix gets nervous easily. Inexperienced: Felix lacks many of the basic skills a soldier needs, but is learning quickly by trial and error. Even the Lady Luck has mood swings: Felix has the uncanny ability of jumping from the frying pan into the fire without a burn or scratch, and ending up either ambushed or falling to the arms of a beautiful woman. This doesn't mean Felix ever gets injured, but he is prone of walking or talking himself into trouble.
Relations to other characters: Felix has lots of fair weather friends all around Skyrim, but not really anyone he call a true friend.
Affiliations: Neutral
Spells: None
Combat style: None at the moment, but Felix is trying to learn how to fight a battle-axe and shield.
Other capabilities: He is a charismatic person and a capable negotiator.
Inventory
Cash: 100 Septims
Keys and lockpicks: None
Clothing and armor: Boiled leather brigandine-like jerkin and a wool shirt beneath it, a thick wool cloak, two cotton trousers, four pairs of wool socks and leather boots. He bought the brigandine at Markath.
Weapons and ammunition: A steel battle-axe ornamented with runes, a steel dagger and a wooden round shield that has a silvery griffin painted on it. The shield seems to have been belonged to someone before him, as the shield is battered. He was given the weapons by the recruiter for a small price.
Potion and arcane supplies: None at the moment.
Jewelry and novelty items: A lute, a set of dice and an amulet of Talos
Books and documents: A manuscript titled The Devils of the Reach and a copy of his contract.
Food, drinks and provisions: Ingredients for porridge, some dark ale and bread with him.
Bags, pouches and packs: A large backpack made from cloth and strips of leather.
Other: Nothing comes to mind. I think I have finished my character building.
@oak7ree Felix's background and personality are both very short. If you have trouble getting more content down, I would start by extrapolating on what you have so far. For example; how did he get that scar on his face? How did he get drunk and found his way to Markarth? Where did that Griffon emblazoned shield come from?
Also, leave a line between each paragraph, it'll make reading easier.
@Gcold I have written how Felix found his way to Markath, how he got the shield and how he got his scar. And I changed his weapon proficiency from swords to axes, as I think it would be easier for him to swing an axe than a sword.
Shortly.
