Bio

Hey there! I'm a trans masc nonbinary dude from the suburbs of Chicago. I'm currently interested in fantasy and sci-fi, with the occasional fandom thrown in, but I'm usually down for whatever my partner and I can agree is interesting! I work and go to school full time, so although I'm not incredibly open, I do try to make time for my roleplays. That being said, if I get bored or a roleplay becomes a chore, or if things just aren't working for me, I'll let you know! Feel free to send me a message! Thanks for reading!

A Generally Massive MxM Interest Check

About the Mun

Hey there! First off I'm only looking for 18+ roleplay partners. Here's a quick description about me before we get into the good stuff. I'm a 19 year old student who works part time, from the Chicago land area. My name is Theo, but I go by Benji online. I'm a trans masculine dude, and I use he/him pronouns. My current screen names are either barnabull or oberonsthing, but I usually use my "oberonsthing" handle for roleplay. Although I am new to the post-by-post roleplay style, I am not new to roleplaying as a whole. I've been roleplaying since I was 14, and although I do have more to improve upon, I know my way around paragraph style roleplay fairly well. I currently hold both myself and my partners to the advanced writing standard, but I know that we all make mistakes when it comes to grammar. As long as we both know how to form proper sentence and paragraph structure, I can overlook the occasional mistake. As far as actual writing amount goes, I prefer at least one solid paragraph per reply. Frequency of posts doesn't really matter to me, but I can keep up with one reply every day or so, and I prefer to have at least one exchange a week. If something comes up and you need a week or two off, let me know! I like to think I'm pretty forgiving with that sort of thing. I roleplay in all types of settings, which I've highlighted below, but for the most part I only roleplay MxM pairings. I'll occasionally play MxF, but only if one or both characters are trans. With regards to smut- I don't do fade to black, but I also don't like pure smut. The largest smut to story ratio that I'll do depends on the pairing, but I don't go anywhere over 80/20. This is an 18+ ad, so, yes, I do want at least some smut, but please discuss whatever scene we do before it actually happens. What do you expect the outcome to be? What are your limits? What are your likes? These things matter.

Settings and Pairings

Listed below are some settings and pairings that I would like to try out. If they're starred, that means I'm craving them! I'm not necessarily looking for anything specific as far as grittiness/darkness level goes, but I've never been a big fan of fluff.

@Gisk

If we are going to do an overlapping realms or different planes of reality, I think it would be interesting to take an approach similar to the recent God of War game. If you aren't familiar, what I'm thinking is planes or realms that exist in the same relative "space", with one gateway that connects all of them together. There could be multiple realms based off of the grandeur of this setting, but something along the lines of a "common realm" with humans- a very low-magic realm, an elven realm, though maybe multiple (for the light elves, the dark elves, etc)- most likely very high in magic. There could be a plethora of various "realms".

If the elves exist on the same plane as other races, I like the idea of them living underground, with vast expanses of their kingdom via Skyrim's light elves/dwarves. Tunnel systems for days, crossing continents of the planet.

I think @Sierra is right with her take on the "house" system. Instead of houses between the dark elves, we should just have clashes between races, with all dark elves united under one empire. My interest in this roleplay isn't contingent on that, though.
Totally interested! I live for dark, gritty fantasy settings.

Regarding setup, I personally would enjoy playing one character, with all of ours working either under a single house or under two conflicting ones (I'm using the term conflict very loosely- I'm all for an all out war between houses, but I feel like maybe some sort of espionage between two allied houses would be pretty interesting...). If all of our characters were under a single house, I think it would be fun to have various assigned roles.

With background for the universe, I like the idea of our dark elves being from another plane of reality, but I feel like that would involve more of a "tiefling" from D&D vibe than the "drow" vibe that you are looking for. Both would be fun to play, though.

Really interested in a discord server if you'd like to make one!
