"Thanks for the outline." Charlotte replied. "Honestly, I have been so busy with my research, I lose time for other things. Thanks for keeping me informed on all this in one place." She might have said more, but she noticed there was a bit of a scuffle with the pokemon. When she did continue, it was more to herself as she produced something from her pocket. "Plus, there's always fun to be had here. Maybe I should join in." Charlotte revealed two stone tiles with strange letters etched into them. 'I don't need pokeballs,' she thought.

The tiles crackled with blue sparks, and their letters began to glow the same color. Suddenly two Unown popped into being above her. They looked like the letters P and S, but each one bore a large eye that moved freely and glanced around the room. The two pokemon hovered in sync, circling around a shared center and emitting a sort of hum. Charlotte didn't say anything else directly, but waited to see how the other club members would react to the fight between Raichu and Jigglypuff and the emergence of her own pokemon.
Charlotte retracted her hand and placed it on the back of her head casually. 'Of course,' she thought. 'I wouldn't impose on it.'

Alice then released all her pokemon and Charlotte looked on in wonder and appreciation. "Well, I think it's a good day. You have such a lovely team." She wondered if any of the others would be more forthcoming than the Raichu had been.

Riolu set the large textbook down at a nearby table and hurried back over, presenting himself with a salute towards the class president. Charlotte giggled at this earnest gesture. "So, what's on the agenda for today, Club President?"
Charlotte watched with a smile as the vice president rushed in with her pokeballs. Her good-natured friendliness turned into actual interest when the other girl's Raichu produced itself. "Wow, a Raichu! That's amazing. He seems lively."

She turned her attention towards the vice president and greeted her. "Welcome! How's your day going, Alice?"
Charlotte arrived at the Pokemon club’s meeting place a few minutes early; she was never late. Her blonde hair was really long, and her blue eyes were so dark that you only saw the color when they caught the light. She was tall, and she wore a functional black outfit with minimal flair.

Charlotte always seemed so composed and motivated, but she also had a reputation for friendliness.

She greeted the president warmly, and then added “I’ve just come from the classroom. I stayed after the bell studying with the other girls.”

This seemed to be the truth, as the doglike Pokémon beside her was carrying in a large, unwieldy textbook on her behalf.
Just for fun, I picked the unown Charlotte will be carrying to start with and added some images for them. c:

Name: Charlotte Meadows

Age: 18

Who Are You?: Charlotte is a student. She is a ward under the care of one of the school's administrators ever since the loss of her father some years ago. Her father was a famous archaeologist that investigated historical sites with signs of pokemon activity. The two were very close and as a result his daughter developed a love for pokemon, especially unusual pokemon, from a very early age. Her father disappeared mysteriously at a dig site, but he left behind for her a memento - a relic he had recovered. It was a box of strange tiled letters filled with eyeballs. Charlotte discovered that there are pokemon living inside these tiles one day while playing with them. Some would call them creatures of legend - the unown.

Ms. Meadows has grown up a lot over the past few years and is a very successful student. She makes friends with her teachers and with other hard-working classmates, and spends a lot of time studying and researching the Unown that live in her tileset. Even now, she is still convinced of their importance and believes there is more to be discovered about them. But she is also incessantly interested in other legendary and rare pokemon. Her dream is to study them and learn more about the possibilities of unique pokemon. The only other pokemon that is usually seen with her is a small little blue furball that walks around on its hind legs, and is known to wear a distinctive scarf. It was a Riolu - a spirited pokemon that Charlotte managed to catch herself over a year ago.

Fun Gimmick: To spice up the unown a bit, I was thinking that each letter of unown can learn any move that starts with that letter. But it will take a lot of training for Charlotte to really make use of this advantage. Most of the Unown are low level except for the ones she uses the most. They are somewhat weak on their own, but they can work together to accomplish greater feats. I'm just looking to have some fun with this, I won't do anything too crazy without proper approval from you.

Your Team: Riolu, and many Unown of different letters. Her current team is made up of Riolu and Unown P-O-I-S-E

I might be willing to jump in here to play. Would you be willing to play with some creative ideas involving pokemon? I might like to play a former grunt / hooligan type of girl who would maybe cause trouble around school from time to time. Or perhaps a girl with a box of unown tiles like in the third movie? It might be fun to do expeditions to see rare pokemon or unique specimens like giant pokemon. Just some thoughts. If this is all too out there I might just go with an aspiring dragon type trainer.
Hey guys. I'm just posting here to see if anyone might be interested in playing my new game (roleplayerguild.com/topics/186854-you…).

The character sheets are relatively simple. I will quickly review any submitted and we can kinda jump in when you're ready. Others can join later on if there is interest. You will play a capable young person who is assisting a federal task force in investigating mystery events and terrorist attacks which are related to the cutting edge of technology. You were involved by the most recent attack, which left your names behind at the crime scene. Two weeks prior, you received a strange package in the mail which included an impossible task and a promise to reward you greatly if you could solve it.

Unbeknownst to you, as of now, you were the subject of some unethical experimental science experiments when you were a small child, designed to "enhance human potential". Discovering more about the mystery and your own past will help unlock a sci-fi ability of your own design.

I want us to work together to create this story. It can really go in a lot of different ways depending on how you want to play it. You can have a skillset background not related to your "ability" such as criminal, federal agent, corporate suit, police officer, martial artist, scholar or researcher, trust fund baby or whatever you can think of with the appropriate connections for that position. You can also be a scientist. Science is sort of like magic in a game like this. You can be a scientist of a specific field and use it's knowledge in creative ways (we can say it's cutting-edge stuff and handwave some of the more inconvenient problems that could be expected in reality). The team will be provided with a lab.

The Sci-Fi "ability" is meant to be more "unexplained", psychic and traditional magical elements like telepathy, pyrokinesis, transformation, telekinesis, robotic implants or whatever else you can think of.

Please let me know if you're interested!
You seem to be an ordinary person. Well, ordinary enough at any rate. But 19 years ago, when you were a child, you were involved in a series of cutting-edge scientific experiments. All were highly unethical. They sought to make you something more than human. After two years the experiments were deemed a failure, and something was done to you to make you forget. Forget you did, and leaving wonderland behind, you had the opportunity to forge a normal life.

Years and years passed, and the things that happened to you were so forgotten that they might as well have not happened. You lived a normal life; perhaps you were exceptional in some ways, but nothing that hasn’t been seen before. But as it turns out, the experiments you underwent weren’t considered a total failure by everyone. Some things just take time to mature.

It was spring of the year 2000, when you received a strange package in the mail. It was a small black case with a brief letter attached. The letter said that someone special had taken a great interest in you, and that if you were able to complete the test included in the case, there would be a special reward for you. You may not have even bothered with such an obvious prank, but if you did look inside, you would have found something very odd. It claimed to be a test, but the instructions were sparse and the requirements were simply impossible. Something like asking you to solve a puzzle box with no solution, or to enter a 4 digit number correctly with no hints, or asking you to separate a pair of metal rings that were solidly joined without harming either.

A farce, right? Wrong. Two weeks later, federal agents showed up at your place and took you into protective custody with a few others. They told you that there’s been an unexplained terrorist attack, and that the perpetrator left a note with all of your names on it. It said that only one of you would be able to stop the next attack.

The agents do want to protect you, but considering that they have very little to go on and lives are at risk, they want to have you cooperate with the investigation.

About me: My name is Olive. I am a longtime role player. I first played on role players guild more than 10 years ago. Most of my games have been elsewhere since then. I’m an experienced roleplayer, but I’m just coming off a break. I want a game that we can jump into quickly - something that won’t require too much commitment. I’m looking for relatively fast paced game - a few posts per week. Minimum of one paragraph, but with no compulsion to do much more than that.

When I’m not roleplaying, I’m a computer scientist and a spiritualist. I’m excited to meet some new people and see where this goes. c:

Character Sheet:

Name:

Age: (Probably between 24 and 31)

Skills: What can you do? What have you learned in the past 19 years? What jobs have you worked?

Personality: What are you like to be around? How do you cope with stress? How realistic are you in your thinking? (Note: I’m looking for at least a little bit of incredulity to start with. You might be fanciful in your thinking, but you haven’t actually seen much out of the ordinary. Yet.)

Impossible Test: What was the test you received in the mail, and how did you react to it? You can try to link it to the next section as well if you like. I’ll help you come up with something if you need me to.

What did the scientists want to do with you as a child / What kinds of special abilities would you like to develop?: They probably would have been related to enhancing your capacity in some respect, making you into a weapon, or giving you some kind of seemingly supernatural power. Keep this part short, and don’t feel too bound to it yet. This is part of the mystery after all, and we might decide to change directions with your character later. I’m just looking for some initial ideas about what you expect your character to be uncovering about himself.
Awesome! Sure, an alien from KO-35 sounds just fine to me. In Space is one of my favorite of the western shows. :)

Now hopefully I can interest a few others so we can get a full team together. (Aiming for at least 4, but it depends on how many responses I get!)
