I certainly do! I’ll be working on getting my character sheet together in the next few days.
I’ve been mulling over what to do with my fairy. I think I’ve settled on either being frontline support or a back line healer-striker, depending on what fits the team better.

One question - will you allow us to take a feat at first level? Perhaps by trading 2 points of ability score increase? I always missed feats in this edition. It would make a big difference as to making character builds more fun at this level.

The only race with a bonus feat in the document you provided is a variant Chia. This isn’t very fun as not everyone wants to play a Chia. People interested in roleplaying Neopets probably already know which pet they want to play as.

It’s your call, but I would be happy if you said yes. c:
Charlotte clapped for Raichu’s success, but then quickly snapped into directing her own team. “Now Pi, it’s your turn. Send it back!”

The unown quickly floated over to intercept the ball, spinning around and humming with excitement. When it caught the ball, it reared back its head, closed its massive eye, and then slammed its face against it. The volleyball was launched back into the air. It wasn’t a powerful return, but it would clear the net.

“You wouldn’t expect it, but he’s actually gotten pretty good at this!”
Charlotte jumped back as Raichu fired off an electric attack, missing the volleyball but almost frying the net. “Amazing…”

“Huh, guess that’s two points,” she said, still somewhat in awe from seeing the move at close range. She walked the ball over to Alice and smiled. “Here, why don’t you guys serve this time?”
@Zapdos - I’m glad you’re okay with the concept. I’ll make sure it’s just possession and not a bunch of other abilities on top of that. I don’t get much of a kick from being OP; it’s more fun to have limited powers and find creative ways to use them.

I’m starting to develop the idea more. Maybe she should be a sort of shut-in, only made worse by her powers. Probably her real body doesn’t leave home very often. She just hops from vessel to vessel to get around. Maybe she is a younger person (a teen), and her “base form” is one of her childhood toys that she possesses and enhances until it’s time to jump again.

Here are some of the drawbacks:

Can only possess one person or thing at a time (with a bucket of sand still counting as one and not thousands)

Can’t manipulate digital information. She can cause objects she possesses to move around mechanically, but it’s too complicated and beyond her skill set to possess a digital device and alter its data

Takes time to recollect her soul when her vessel has been destroyed. If the damage is bad enough, it might just end her power entirely, causing her to wake up in her bed (being removed from the encounter)

I don’t plan to make her a master of her ability to start with either, she’ll be figuring out how to use it effectively over time.
I’m interested. I’m still fiddling with concepts. How would you feel about a superhero whose power was possession? She would be able to take an intangible form and enter objects or defeated bad guys. She can enhance and animate the thing she is possessing to make it capable of more impressive feats (such as possessing a sword and making it extremely sharp/strong, or becoming a walking suit of armor that can take a severe beating.)

While possessing bad guys would give her different options. Like using their body/power for a limited time, or interrogating their minds while possessing their body. Just as a rule I wouldn’t attempt to possess any currently active bad guys unless they were insignificant. Significant bad guys would need to be defeated first to give her enough time to wear away their resistance.

This is a bit morally grey in the best case, so the character will have to deal with the ethical issues arising from her new power.

If you don’t like that idea, I might go for something else. Like control of plants or super-powered eyes. I like super-powered eyes. :D
Did Raichu manage to hit the ball back? I couldn’t quite tell.
”Riolu, knock it back!” Charlotte had called out. Alice had returned the ball starting things off. The dog Pokémon hustled over and bumped the ball back with joined wrists. Jigglypuff managed to get under it and hit it back, but it was stopped mid-way by the net.

“I guess that’s one point for us. But don’t worry guys, we’re just getting started,” she encouraged. The next chance she got, Charlotte bounced the ball practically right to Raichu, implicitly inviting him to try again.

The blonde girl made a shocked face which quickly melted into laughter. She recovered the ball as Alice swapped her team member out.

“Okay, now for real this time. Your move!” She was obviously humming with excitement as she served the ball over a second time.
”Hmm. Well we’ll see how they react when we start the game.” Charlotte faced her Pokémon and gestured towards herself. “Come on, guys, let’s play!” They followed her as she ran over to their side of the field. Riolu appeared to be stretching while Pi the unown floated leisurely behind.

A moment later, Charlotte asked “Mind if I serve?” Once Alice and her team were ready, she would take a center position and send the ball slowly flying over the net. If they managed to return it, the game would officially begin.
