Shadow smiled back shyly. "M-my powers? Um, I've had them for as long as I can remember. I don't know everything I can do with them. And I don't think I've ever scared anybody. Avary helps make sure my powers stay under control." She sounded a bit sad when she talked about Avary. He'd been a constant in her life. Even before they died, their parents hadn't been around all that often, so Avary had looked after her. She looked up at the new woman and waved a little, Ellyse's mother, she guessed.

"Yes, and thanks to your idle chitchat, you brought him here two minutes later than he was supposed to. What if the food had been brought out already? Would you really want the child of your employers to be eating cold food?" Grayson huffed. Despite how he mostly acted, he was a stickler for being on time and had a bit of OCD, but he was devoted to the Alder's no matter what. "Just get him sat for breakfast, it shall be out in a few moments."

He smiled at her and walked with her to the dining hall. When they got there, they were greeted by Grayson who had just finished setting the table. "Glad you could join us." He said evenly but his eyes had a look of annoyance in them. "At least the young master's dressed. Come now, Anastasia finished breakfast and the Lord and Lady Alder should be down soon."

Alexander rolled his eyes a little at her. He got dressed silently and came back out. "We should head down to breakfast. Wouldn't want to keep Grayson waiting." He said with a small chuckle.

Alexander nodded. "I'm fine Sarah." He lied. "Just a little restless. Once I have breakfast I should be fine." He got up and went to his wardrobe to grab some clothes. Unlike a lot of children of lords, he preferred to dress himself.

Grayson nodded to her. "Good. The family should awaken soon, and we would not want to make them wait for their breakfast. Luckily the Alders are a forgiving family. I have worked for other families that would kill servants should they make a mistake." On that cheerful note, he went to set the table.

Grayson stood in front of the door to the Lord's and Lady's room. He knocked to awaken them as was one of his duties. "My lords, breakfast shall be ready in a few minutes." Without another word he went to check on the state of the breakfast.

Alexander woke up and stretched tiredly. Recently, he was able to wake up without prompt, due to the fact he had been suffering from nightmares as of late. He sat up in his and looked as the light filtered through the curtains over his windows. He knew Sarah would be in soon to wake him up.
