When he says work at it, he means work at it. Hard. It's definitely not a problem that'll ever really go away. You'll just learn to keep it quiet, or force through it.

Fallout 4 was certainly terrible in many ways, but some stuff like the fridge-kid can be overlooked through the less-than-serious attitude of the entire series. Yknow. Pistols exploding entire bodies.

Gimp drains the lifeforce of those that download it. Be wary. If your soul is plentiful and grand, then surely you'll face not the gatekeeper of Gimp and be able to freely use the program.

Bio

Yo, Parzivol here.

Young, in that I'm young enough that I'm not yet considered an Adult. Been doing this since I was about twelve to some capacity or another. Of course, that means I started in Minecraft and another forum. Worked my way into Discord and then here. Excited to participate.

Primary Interests:
Dark Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical-Medieval (Periodic style insertion stuff, a la Kingdom Come: Deliverance). My stylistic preferences are on the side of mystery, rather than open-world adventure romps or conventional murder-hoboing.

Favorite Authors:
R.A. Salvatore, H.P. Lovecraft, David Eddings, Orson S. Card

Games Of Choice:
TES: Oblivion, Darkest Dungeon, FTL: Faster Than Light, Dark Souls 1, For Honor, Divinity: OS 2 (Haven't gotten to 1 yet, though I'd like to), and Absolver.

Out of that list, my favorite in terms of storytelling methods are DS1 and Absolver, which both use the light-touch item descriptions method. Take whatever you wish from that. FTL has engaging stories, and Oblivion is a fun FPS A-RPG with the heavy lean on action. Darkest Dungeon is the monster I'm yet to slay, while DS1 is the monster I love to curl up with on cold days. Divinity: OS 2 is interesting and I enjoyed what I played, but I wasn't all that engaged in the story. Personally doesn't feel like the kind of game that should have player-made characters. Perhaps the simple fix would be to play one of their legacy heroes. I'll find out this summer, in all likelihood.

Also, Music:
Weezer, Primus, MC LARS, Beastie Boys

Alrighty. Decided the other concept was loose and unfocused and decided to go with something a bit more put together. This first hider is for artifacts, the second hider is for Yolo Of Londor himself.

@Burning Kitty
@Parzivol You get ONE Unique artifact to start with, you can get more later.

You get ONE Companion artifact.

You get 10,000 cash period.

Your vehicle must not be able to fly.

I explicitly said to leave the artifacts blank in your cs until they are approved.

At this time I will not approve or consider anything until the problems are fixed.

Okedoke, easy fixes. Will tend to them here in a while. Lost track of some of the nuance in the rules because of a long writing process.
Failure. WIP.
@Burning Kitty

Excellent. I'll get to work.
@Burning Kitty
I have interest in participating if you'll take me, but I also have a bunch of questions before getting into things like character writing:

Based on the information on the Artifacts spreadsheet it looks like you're using the word Artifact as just a different way of referring to derivative gear from another series and not in the Ready-Player-One sense where artifacts are unique items with no replications. Is this true?

Is this using the Ready-Player-One sectioning system in any way? Will at any point a character's Sci-Fi gear be nullified by entering a Fantasy zone or a character's spells be nullified by entering a Sci-Fi zone? Stuff like that?

The context of the contest seems interesting, but the roleplay seems to have initiated with Specters Of The Apocalypse already established. Would a non-clanned character being introduced by myself throw things too far out of whack or would that be valid? This seems largely to be a character driven roleplay and introducing a not-entirely-hostile character into the competition setting might get some good content.
Interested.
None of these roleplays will be used for romance or sex. I don’t jive with those concepts and prefer another set. If romance of two characters happens naturally or in a manner that makes sense then I have no problem with that being explored quietly and secondary to the primary goals of the characters. I will personally be using this for adventure, conflict, antagonist design, and for how to interact with another writer within a larger slightly more planned narrative. I don’t have much interest in a Modern 1 by 1 roleplay, but if you think you’ve found a good idea, let me know.

Fantasy

Elder Scrolls (4E 403, Rain’s Hand)
  • Dungeon Delves/Adventures
    • A veteran Penitus Oculatus agent (You) is sent to track down the Dragonborn (Me), which has gone rogue. Rumors surround the target, but several dozen murders in Whiterun City have made the once heroic figure a high priority target for the Empire and the local population alike. More information will be provided at the Skyrim Penitus Oculatus branch’s headquarters.
    • Two young Khajit (Us) siblings are tracking a strange looking animal spotted north of Kvatch. With their father working through the Shakes again and their mother cleaning double this month to help keep the family afloat, the pair are left to their own devices. Chasing animals to bring home for dinner is a common pass time. Even if it’s just a mudcrab or a giant rat, it can help. And family is important.
  • Political Intrigue/Social Scenario
    • Two students of the College Of Whispers (Us) are attacked by an Iron Atronach in the middle of the Elven Gardens District, and are immediately roped into a minor conspiracy. With little more than informal magic experience they’re thrust into something beyond even them.
    • A dragon (You) following Paarthurnax’s Way Of The Voice terrifies an Argonian (Me) boy fishing near Lilmoth, and the two strike up a conversation while the boy waits for an inevitable rescue at the hands of the local guards and his father.

Dark Souls (1)
  • Dungeon Delves/Adventures
    • Two strangers (Us) encounter each other after having both slain the Hellkite dragon with bows and wits. Now all that’s left is to wander up towards the Church and ring the first Bell Of Awakening. Git gud.
    • A Chaos Servant (Me) pursues an undead mage from the Vinheim Dragon School (You) through Lower Undead Burg, intent on draining the target’s humanity and returning to the Fair Lady.

    • I love accurate pre-gunpowder period depictions, and love Lovecraft style weird fiction. I don’t have any ideas of my own at the moment, but am willing to pursue such. It’s odd that these are all under the same category, I know, but it’s my page I guess, right?

@ Me if you have interest in any of the above.
@Danelaw
I've interest in the Copilot position. I'll finish character design, but I have a concept in development.
Carefully, like a nix-hound closing on a wounded guar or an aged and diseased nix-ox, the Reachman moved forward. Each motion was dog-like, and loping. He pressed upon the Dunmer's space and flourished. Arms up and outward, eyes forward and focused. Burning like wisps behind the grotesque mask of skin and bone.

"Ash-Face." Once he had repeated the words, he clapped his hands against his various furs as if cleaning them. "Don't mind it too much. Don't get too Red about it. I'm sure there may be a Year and place where your people are seen as strong and reasonable. Not just you, though. Knife-Eared loons and witches all alike might be worth respecting with proper names, one day." His focus on red and year was a surprisingly aware jab at the all too recent crisis of the Dunmer.

"Though if you have a name, I'll call you for it. If you shall share it." Carefully, the man moved away. His focus was now split between packing the deer up in all its valuable bits, and conversing with the strangers. "The only thing I know better than Skyrim and her routes is the respect of a name."

Was going to give room for @SoulChrysamere or the other guy, but it looks like me. Will post soon.
