Appearance: John is fairly unremarkable. Being not particularly unattractive nor fair of features has left him looking plain and all together average, which suits him well enough. John has a square jaw, a slightly crooked nose, and small scar cutting through his left eyebrow. He keeps his hair closely cropped to his skull and little more than stubble across his face. Unlike most residents in Vault 127, John typically wears the security armor given to him for his duty as a security officer. While you'll mostly find him in this get up, you'll find him in a utility jumpsuit when his janitorial duties come up. As it turns out, it isn't easy to mop a floor in full Kevlar. The only thing nonstandard his a red plaid bandanna that has been passed down his family for generations, its usually wrapped around his neck but when things get sticky you'll find it wrapped around his head.

General Personality and Outlook on Others: A self proclaimed "Extrovert-fried Introvert", John is a friendly, calm, and affable but does not seek much outward attention, maintaining his bonds with people he's close with while happy to have a long list of acquaintances. John is for the most part an optimist would like to see the best in people but he is no fool and can recognize when someone is not going to make things easy.
Hobbies and Interests: John takes more enjoyment out of physical exercise than most of his peers, sacrificing many hours into developing his physical traits rather than his mental ones. Beyond this he has become a large fan of Grognak the Barbarian and has read all the issues the Vault contains at least four times.
Profession and Position: Security Officer/Janitorial Duties
Recognized Past: Fairly unremarkable, besides several admonishments in his youth for picking fights. John has kept his nose clean and his record straight all his life. It seems his choice to join the Security force stemmed from his fathers death, having been killed trying to intervene in a domestic abuse incident.
Talents, Abilities, and Skills: As above, John has dumped a lot of time in developing his physical traits and excels at hand to hand combat, ballistic firearms, and strength. In addition, John has always had Lady Luck in his corner of the ring throughout his life.

With the whole "no healing" thing, it's a damn testament that anybody does anything besides staying inside. Secondly, do people still need to eat and drink?

Personality
A very transparent man, Paragon is not incredibly hard to read. His quest is paramount but he definitely suffers from "Chronic Hero Syndrome" and cannot leave someone in need in good conscience. This has gotten him into more trouble than he can count but he wouldn't have it any other way. However if you dig deep enough, crack open the walls and chivalrous bravado you will find the fundamentally broken man that is Johnathan Charles Barrow. A man not strong enough to hold himself together in the face of his world falling apart.

Powers
Less of a given power and more like a gift earned, Paragon's body is at the peak of human physical potential. Stronger, faster, and more efficient than normal humans. Beyond this he has an almost inhuman amount of determination. Beyond this he has an instinctive knowledge on the location of Shards, much like the migration of birds he is drawn to them but does not know their exact locations.

History (Pre-Apocalypse)
Besides being a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Johnathan's life was fairly boring before the apocalypse shattered everything. He went to work, did his taxes, and trained in the use of ancient weaponry in his spare time. Again, a bit of a nerd but fairly boring. As you can guess everything changed when the shit hit the fan. In just several days Johnathan lost everything, his home, everyone he had ever loved, and even his sanity. The war was tough on everyone and in the end the man that was Johnathan Charles Barrows was no more, instead he had to fall back on someone stronger, more powerful to survive. During this time of trials Paragon was born.
History (Post-Apocalypse)
Paragon has been traveling the world since the war, helping those in need when he can and punishing those with wicked hearts. However there is one thing above all that Paragon has been searching for, Shards. Something powerful shattered during the war, this objects fragments have scattered to the four winds and embedded themselves far and wide across the lands. With every single Shard Paragon finds his power grows, potential unlocking until he is sure that one day he will become a god.
