The people Steven was with were... colorful to say the least. If the argument between two of them said anything.

The entire group was silenced when the angelic being clapped her hands softly which somehow rang throughout everyone's ears, breaking their thoughts and focusing their attention on her.

The angel then did something that made Steven's heart skip a beat and made his inner child scream in awe. The angelic being unfurled her wings to their maximum length - they were at least twice the length of a human adult, and gave a deep bow. Her halo was glowing brightly as she did so. Her presence inspired something that Steven could not feel as his mind lacked the ability to comprehend it.

"Good evening, my Lords and Ladies. Thank you all for coming at this humble one's request. No doubt you are confused and have questions, so allow this one to answer them.

My name is not one you can pronounce or understand, however I have been referred to by your ancestors as On The First Day. I am an Angel of Heaven, tasked with overseeing the flow of the universe, an existence that some of you may know as a Virtue."

On The First Day stayed silent after that, waiting for everyone's response. Steven took the initiative. "Uhh... greetings First Day." Steven already thought up a nickname. There was still doubt within him but he decided to play along. "Sooo... you're an Angel of Heaven, but... what has that got to do with us?"

"Ah, wait!" Walter had not meant to drive Kiri away. He simply wanted to tell her that surprises might not be healthy for the blonde girl. The immortal sighed. "Mmm, maybe I do need time off to polish my people skills." He whispered to himself. The Kiri girl was away now and the tour could continue though Walter would apologize to the girl should he encounter her again.

Another... thing arose when a male of pale skin and silver hair introduced himself as Grimm and started observing the blonde girl, walking around her and eyeing every single detail. He then asked the gender of the girl to which the answer was most surprising. Walter raised an eyebrow at the answer that the blonde girl he had been touring was apparently a boy.

When Grimm was done, Walter looked at the blonde g-- boy. "You are a male?" The immortal let the new information sink into his old mind. "Any particular reason you wear a girl's dress?"
OOC is up. Grab your selected countries!

Welcome to Diplomacy: A Game About Friendship. A game RP where you will take control of one of seven countries to conquer the other six (or just capture more than half of the supply centers). Of course the other six won't just roll over dead for you so it's up to you to force or make them that way.

Map

Why are we using the map of Papers, Please? Well I like the game and Europe might be too much for me.

Gameplay Mechanics

How To Play

A year is divided into four phases: Spring Negotiation, Spring Movement, Autumn Negotiation, Autumn Movement

During a Negotiation phase, it's time to talk to your fellow players via PMs or the OOC. Make agreements, alliances and coordinated movements. Or lie, sow distrust and spread disinformation. Remember, anything goes during negotiation. You can use your admin status to spy on other players' PMs or you can (falsely) announce the treachery of another player in the OOC.

After negotiation (or lack thereof), players must submit their orders for their units. After all players have submitted, (at least) 6 hours will pass before the orders will be carried out. You can edit your orders during that period.

Orders can range from holding to attacking/occupying. Your units can only move/attack/occupy the position they are allowed to (indicated by black lines in the movement map).

I will post in the IC what had occurred due to the players' orders.

If a player disappears during a game, the country he is in charge of becomes free land for the taking and his/her armies will disappear.

Units

There are three unit types: Infantry, Airborne and Armored

Infantry > Airborne > Armored > Infantry (If a fight between units with identical types, tiebreaker will ensue.)

Your units' types are concealed from other players. You can reveal/lie about them to other players.

When a unit is defeated near an owned position, the player can submit a retreat order where they should retreat to. Otherwise, the unit is destroyed so be careful about sending troops to allies.

Each position can ONLY have two units in them. Two units will always beat a single unit. However, a position can be attacked by more than two units in which case the defender automatically loses. If an alliance did it, they must negotiate who takes the position.

If two on two occurs, use this as guide:
Infantry and Armored vs. Infantry and Airborne. 2nd team wins 'cause their Airborne beats Armored.
Also...
Infantry and Infantry vs. Airborne and Armored. Tiebreaker will ensue.

Supply Centers

Supply Centers allow the creation and keeping of units. Each supply center allows two units. All countries start with 3 supply centers and 6 units of their choosing.

Gaining a supply center during a year will allow the creation of two units which will be deployed in Spring Negotiation at the supply center of the player's choosing.

Having more units than the supply centers could allow will result in the disbanding of units of the player's choosing by the time Spring Negotiation comes.

If a player has lost all of his supply centers, he/she has Spring Negotiation to get one. Otherwise, he/she is eliminated. (There's always Round 2!)

I... I think that's everything. If I missed anything or if you have suggestions or questions, let me know. For applications, just say in the OOC which country you wanna be but say via PM where your units are placed and what types they are. First come, first serve.
Yuri's threat was a poor choice as the rain suddenly stopped for a brief moment before Lee lashed out, and in suit, the rain followed, forming an extended arm to lash the gun off Yuri's hand. Her other hand moved in response, like a coordinated dance, the rain would mold around the Russian's body and hold him up in the air.

Her arms stilled. Her eyes were blank but distantly focused. Seconds later her eyes widened, life returning to them. The rain started up again, continuing to fall as it should have. As she pulled back, Yuri fell to the wet ground. The Russian's body was a little sore from being gripped but he was stupefied at the ability of the Cyborgel.

Yuri took a moment to process what had happened to him. A smile formed in his face as he marveled at the power of the Cyborgels. "Haaaahahahaha!" The Russian let out a hearty laugh as he got up. "Angel of Heaven indeed!" He complemented Lee as he picked up his gun. "How humanity managed to defeat you is beyond me."

Holstering his weapon, Yuri approached the duo while putting his hands in the air. "Worry not, I am not your enemy."

The Russian sized up Lee before looking at Ethan. "You are lucky, my friend, to have found such a fine angel. I assume you are going to keep her?"
@PaulHaynek

Okay, I want to clarify something. While I understand that my character's attitude makes him out to be kind of a jerk (after all, he's been largely alone his whole life and practically raised himself) I just want to make sure that when it comes his turn to fight, you won't simply decide he's going to lose because he needs to be knocked down a peg. (I do plan on having him soften up a bit as the story progresses.) After all, his skills are quite formidable, and I'd hate to have it be a bygone conclusion that he will lose simply because of his personality and the fact that the previous two people had already won. So, what do you say?

What your character will do will decide the outcome of the battle, my friend. It has nothing to do with attitudes.
Before the two girls could introduce themselves, all of a sudden a girl just burst out of the nearest janitor closet that they were near off. The two were startled greatly while Walter felt his heart skip a beat but his heroic senses immediately told him something was wrong. Gazing at the blonde girl, Walter saw her clutch her chest as if her heart had failed. "Miss! Are you alright?" He was not sure how to deal with heart failure. The best he could do was speed dial the school doctor.

Fortunately the blonde girl began recover though the culprit did not seem to notice the predicament and walked up to introduce herself. The new girl had messy brown hair that fell across her face and on to her shoulder, laying haphazardly on the scarf around her neck. Her name was Kiri and waited for the blonde girl's response.

However, Walter briefly interjected. "Um, miss Kiri? I trust your sudden and startling entrance was accidental and will not happen again? You know, for the sake of madam here."
Lee.

That was the Cyborgel's name.

Ethan.

That was the mechanic's name.

With those in mind, Yuri continued to observe. Lee the Cyborgel almost took Ethan's hand but then she caught a glimpse of her naked body. She jerked backward in embarrassment and hastily took a dirty sheet from the garbage bins, knocking several more cans over just as the trashbots arrived. The litter bots beeped back and forth as they waved past the mechanic and the Cyborgel, quickly getting to work with cleaning up the area.

One turned the corner and bumped its small body smack into Yuri, startling him. Scared, it's monitor changed from a ':3' to a 'DX' with little cartoon tears pouring down its monitor, letting out a strange bawling sound. It's small robotic arms flailed as it's wheels moved its small body in circles around the Russian. "EEEEeeeEEEeeeEEEeeeEEEeeeEEE!" The robot screeched while giving away Yuri's position.

"Shhhh! SHHHHH!" Yuri tried to silence the litter bot, trying to catch it so it could not attract more attention. As he tried to, Yuri accidentally followed it to the open and revealed himself to Ethan and Lee. The Russian mentally banged his head to the wall for making such a mistake but outside, he kept his cool.

With little option left, he slowly aimed his pistol at the duo and stayed silent. Their next action would determine if they were harmless or not.

Today would have been a normal day for Steven Tall had a letter of invitation not urged him to head to a certain location. Young Steven would have thrown away the letter, dismissing it as some sort of scam but something compelled him to go. Could it be the hands of fate? Or was it simply Steven's childish fantasies telling him to believe. Not even the sixteen-year-old knew. All he knew was he was going to be there. He could only hope he doesn't get mugged or shot because of it.

The location was a hilltop looking at a sunset. Steven spotted several figures there, including a female that sported wings and a halo. It was then Steven felt excitement, his childish imaginations seeming to come true. This was not normal. Unless of course it was him that was not normal and he could be imagining all of these but if so, Steven did not want to wake from this brief respite from reality.
