EDIT: Just reread his post, and his power is waaaaay OP, he drains fast enough so that even just a split second touch drains a bit of their power

I don't think that it's a 'more OP' version of mimicry, regardless of balance and power level. In Heroes, there was a copier (empath) and a drainer. The drainer killed people to take their power. The empath didn't need to - he could, at will, double the amount of people with a certain power in the room.

Think about that.

Ezekiel got tired of glaring at the newcomer after a few minutes. The guy didn't seem to be wholly 'there'. He looked at the shadow girl to see what she makes of this, and nodded when she suggested to continue.

"I don't have ideas smarter than checking all rooms," he grunted, "But it beats standing around scratching our heads."

He gently pushed past the crowd and returned the way he came, to write down all room numbers he checked already, with a word or two about their content. He then proceeded down the hallway around the bend, back towards the place with the map, while checking all rooms on the way.

Fox though for a second playing with the flame on her hand. Pencils used lead right easily melted. All she would have to do is pour the melted lead into a containor and find something to work as a quill.

Not to uh, be a buzz kill, but pencil 'lead' is made mostly of carbon, since lead is super-poisonous. Also I assume its melting point is a few hundred degrees.

Chris appeared lost in thought while Edith was interrogating the watcher. Tiberius Smith... that name was as familiar as some of the references in his thesis, which means he knew them by heart once, then removed them from his memory when done. Ah yes - the guy actually was a reference in his thesis!

The young man steepled his fingers with an air of smugness. This new information was slowly becoming a very interesting conspiracy theory, but as with all such theories, needed to be conveyed with clarity in order to survive. He almost appeared to be silently talking with himself, trying out different approaches in his mind while his hands articulated the appropriate gestures for these imaginary conversations.

His attention snapped back when the Watcher mentioned the research facility being beyond the wall. "I'm not tired." he offered, the monotone hiding his eagerness slightly. "We should find a way to spy on their security scheme, to save time, even if we need to wait for Smith's arrival before breaking in."

It all looked very obvious to him now - the idea behind this anomaly outbreak, the plan, and where it will definitely go wrong.
